  1. These Black voters could determine Biden’s fate in a pivotal swing state ....Lang, the founder and executive director of the Milwaukee group BLOC – Black Leaders Organizing for Communities.....“There is no way to win a statewide election that doesn’t run through the Black community,” Lang reminded nearly two dozen BLOC organizers about to hit the pavement. “Understanding the dynamics that Wisconsin is an incredible battleground state and is a swing state. What happens in Milwaukee can impact the rest of the state, which ultimately can impact the rest of the country.....No pressure.” The pressure, of course, is enormous. Wisconsin is one of the battleground states that settles close presidential elections and Black turnout in Milwaukee is a pivotal piece of any Democratic path to victory. CNN recently visited Milwaukee as part of a new project designed to track the 2024 campaign through the eyes and experiences of voters in key areas. It was clear from three days spent in the predominantly Black neighborhoods on the city’s north side that President Joe Biden faces a daunting enthusiasm problem among voters essential to his reelection hopes. Wisconsin swung from Donald Trump in 2016 to Biden in 2020, and with the former president the front-runner for the GOP nomination in 2024, the Badger State could again be forced to choose between the two men. Trump won it by just shy of 23,000 votes – and a drop in Milwaukee’s Black turnout was a major factor. Biden carried the state by just shy of 21,000 votes four years later, when better showings in Madison and the suburbs helped offset flat turnout in Milwaukee’s Black precincts. .....And there is lots of this: “Most people don’t even want to go vote,” Shanice Jones told the room. She said people tell her over and over they are tired of promises made but not kept. “Then they talk about on the news how it was less voter turnout. Uh, duh. Why? Because you all ain’t doing what you said you were going to do.”.... But would the president have a Black turnout problem if the election were today?....“Yes, he would,” Johnson told us. “He would have a big problem.....All these candidates come by and sell us these promises,” she said in an interview. “You know, say, you got to vote for me to save democracy. And then we don’t always see them again. And so, folks get more and more turned off from the political process.” https://www.cnn.com/2023/11/03/politics/black-voters-wisconsin-joe-biden-2024/index.html
  2. For the 2024 election, it's better if Trump mostly sits this one out a little. The candidate overall that has been the most Pro Israel their entire career is Nikki Haley. This current mess and tragedy has turned into a boon for her campaign. She's leapfrogged DeSantis. She's put herself in a prime position to claim VPOTUS standing for half the ticket. However Trump won't want her profile to get any stronger. Because to do so will incite the corporate establishment elements of both the DNC and RNC. Put it this way, what Trump doesn't want is Team Blue, the DNC and the corporate establishment to think Nikki Haley is easier to beat in a general election by Gavin Newsom ( I don't think that's true by any measure, but never underestimate the raw lunacy of the DNC) Then the pathway for the corporate establishment to pick off BOTH Trump and Biden becomes paramount to them. Trump is a favorite to win the 2024 RNC ticket, but it's not a lock yet. The DNC and the DCCC keep shooting themselves in the foot. No one is beating Nikki Haley in a general election. Whether she can get the GOP ticket is another matter. But in a general cycle, she would crush Biden, Newsom and anyone else on that thin Blue bench.

    No Hard Feelings

Jennifer Lawrence began to virtue signal in public because of a data leak, to the point where she claimed she was consistently sexually objectified. Well, further leaks showed she slept with Harvey Weinstein, some images were very graphic, to get support for awards and to get roles and to have her projects financed. Everyone who wanted to back Margot Robbie was the new "It Girl" in Hollywood had an incentive to make Lawrence's career as difficult as possible to move forward. Hollywood only tolerates one young attractive "It Girl" at a time. The classic case of this issue was Gretchen Mol, who got a part in Rounders and the 13th Floor and her career was looking upwards. But again, she was a Weinstein "project" And that reputation destabilized her career overall. You have to sleep with people in the industry to get ahead, but it has to be calculated. You can't sleep with the wrong person and for too long. Robbie had an affair with Will Smith that helped her career. Helen Hunt's career effectively ended with Castaway, when she had the choice of being kicked off the project at the start, or sleep with Tom Hanks. She got the role and kept it, but the affair caused problems to the point where anyone who wanted Hanks in the future, had to blacklist Hunt, based on Hanks' wife being enraged over it. Lawrence is going to comedy because she has to take the leftover parts that Robbie and Florence Pugh don't want. Now she'll lose another range of parts to Jenna Ortega. I guess her only saving grace is Rachel Zegler has self imploded her career. Leonardo DiCaprio gets his pick of whatever parts he wants. Then if he passed, producers would try to get Johnny Depp. If you couldn't get Depp, you had to pick from Matt Damon or Christian Bale. Whatever those guys all turned down went to Colin Farrell. If you squeak down 15th on the list, it's probably someone like Patrick Wilson. So Lawrence went from the DiCaprio position to the Farrell position. It's not horrible, but you have to make compromises. There is a "dead zone" for most actresses in their early 40s. They can't get young parts, they look too old ( for Hollywood standards) for many of the choice "wife" parts, and they are too young for the "grandmother" type roles. You'll notice Amy Adams was in everything. Then she's not. Same for Sandra Bullock. ( Bullock extended herself a bit with Gravity, and every female in Hollywood with any brand name recognition tried to get that part) The difference being Adams and Bullock have real charisma. Lawrence, not so much. Nude scenes and young age sex scenes are usually strategic ( for example, Maisie Williams with a sex scene in the last season of Game Of Thrones. Which actually disgusted many viewers since she looks 14 years old still, but it was a favor for her long term career to give her that scene, i.e. she should be treated as an adult and not a child actor) A lot of opportunity for female roles is timing. Liv Tyler was the young industry "It Girl" for a while. Had she not gone into acting, maybe Jennifer Love Hewitt would have had a larger career path. Pugh and Robbie are also simply better skilled actresses as well. If you've ever watched Euphoria on HBO, one of the supporting actresses Sydney Sweeney takes any opportunity to show her body and be over the top sexualized at any chance. All the good roles for her age range go to Hailee Steinfeld and Anya Taylor Joy. Then the hard ESG push took roles and gave them to Zendaya, Zegler and Ortega. Being sexualized is her only really selling point. Timing is everything. In the early 90s, there wasn't a fierce level of competition, so Rene Russo got all the best roles for a while. If Madeline Stowe, Andie McDowell and Penelope Ann Miller (all deficient actresses) had come into the industry later, or born later, they might not have had careers at all. Think about all the relationships you know that seem to function and the people are a good match and good chemistry exists and there's limited toxicity. Look at their backstories, there is always a function of timing and chance to things like that. Careers in Hollywood are really no different.

    Locked topics

#StayDown It appears someone quoted me without using the quotation marks, but they likely intended to do so. Some of you activist radical leftists are grasping at straws. The one key thing that @League Champion and I have in common is we both expend effort to show the "receipts" He does more tweets, I do tweets but also videos, articles, polls, stats, quotes, etc, etc. Since it's impossible to refute the video evidence right in your face, this is the lengths that some will go to try to denounce via ad hominem ( i.e. you can't attack the message, so you'll try to go after the messenger) And it's all futile. What are some of you going to do? Go to the site owner and try to get me banned? For what exactly? For raising the level of discussion here in the Geek Club ( not everyone has to like my viewpoints or my thread topics, but they aren't cheap, they aren't lazy, they are very explicit and specific in being sourced and detailed out) More forums would like more contributors as such, the way I post, not less. It's a basic social compact of participating in any community in any location - The more value you openly contribute, the more slack you get cut and the more your words begin to carry weight. As long as I continue to raise the level of discussion in this forum, that's all the leverage I need. It means all personal attacks against me will eventually fail. Don't believe me? Ask @HellToupee, @BirdGang, @Tree of Knowledge, @Patented Phil, @supermike80 and others from "the other place" Attacking me was futile. All it did was openly show the toxicity present and furthered the pathway for that place to get locked down. Anyone who wants to try for a piece of me can step right up. Come get some. Come get all of it. But let's be clear, so no one can say they were never told, it never ends well for those with intentions in bad faith.

Probably not true, but one thing we know, the most anti-gay people are usually closeted gays." ************* https://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/topic/517391-speaker-of-the-house-discussion/?do=findComment&comment=7380194 ******* Gutterboy was so ashamed of his anti LGBT comments and that he was encouraging violence against them, that he had to scrub them. Even though everyone who is a board regular has seen them already. Now he'll deny he even said it in the first place. He could try to report this thread, but the problem is Invision Boards keep an archive of everything that's been deleted, blocked or locked down. The FFT Staff, if they have to see it for themselves, will see everything I've just said is true.
  6. Prosecutors: Former Bills punter Matt Araiza wasn't present during alleged gang rape ....Last August, just days after earning the starting job as the Buffalo Bills' punter, rookie Matt Araiza was the subject of a civil lawsuit alleging he and two San Diego State football teammates participated in a gang rape of an intoxicated 17-year-old girl....While little was known publicly, San Diego Police had spent nearly 10 months on the case before forwarding it to the district attorney without a recommendation for prosecution. The Bills said they also knew about the incident, investigated it and decided to employ Araiza anyway.....The graphic allegations in the civil lawsuit, however, created a public frenzy. It included a claim that during an Oct. 15, 2021, party at a home near the SDSU campus, Araiza led the girl into a bedroom where “at least three other men” waited.....“Once inside, Araiza threw [the girl] onto the bed face first,” the lawsuit read. “[The girl] went in and in and out of consciousness while” suffering through “the horrific gang rape.” It lasted an hour and a half, the lawsuit read, before she “stumbled out of the room bloody and crying” in part because “multiple piercings had ripped through the skin during the attack.” ....Within days the Bills cut Araiza, who due to his record breaking NCAA career and an 82-yard punt in a preseason game, had earned the nickname “Punt God.”....“We just think it’s the best move for everyone to move on from Matt and let him take care of this situation,” Buffalo general manager Brandon Beane said.....Araiza remains out of football despite prosecutors announcing on Dec. 7, 2022, that after conducting their own 124-day investigation that they wouldn’t press any criminal charges in the case.....A fuller picture of what police and prosecutors found, however, is now available via a 200-plus page transcript of a 100-minute meeting obtained by Yahoo Sports where a deputy district attorney offered a detailed explanation to the girl and her attorneys. Perhaps most notably, the district attorney’s office concluded Araiza couldn’t have led the girl into the alleged gang rape because he had “left” the home at about 12:30 a.m., an hour prior to when evidence suggested the alleged gang rape would have occurred.....“He wasn’t even at the party anymore,” deputy district attorney Trisha Amador explained to the girl. Later Amador stated of the timeline of events, “All I know is that at that point, suspect Araiza is gone from the party.”....Additionally, prosecutors told the girl that video recordings of the incident in the bedroom made it impossible to determine, let alone prosecute anyone, on whether there was a gang rape at all that night, rather than consensual sex with the other men.... ....Araiza, whose life has been paralyzed since being named in the civil lawsuit, hopes it’s enough for NFL teams to take a second look at him despite the civil suit still being active, according to his attorney. He and the two other players named in the suit vehemently deny any gang rape, knowledge that the girl was below California’s age of consent (18) or or whether she was intoxicated....Any sexual contact, Ariaza has said, was consensual. ....There was additional evidence cited by Amador from a recording during a party the night before at a different residence where the girl says on camera that she is 18.....The timeline prosecutors pieced together suggested this encounter occurred at 12:55 a.m., about a half hour after Araiza had left the house. This incident occurred on a living room sofa with one of the football players who was also named in the civil lawsuit. Parts of this encounter were filmed on a cell phone. Prosecutors said the footage from the cell phone did not suggest any forced behavior..... The civil lawsuit is continuing and requires a lower threshold of proof than criminal charges..... https://sports.yahoo.com/prosecutors-former-bills-punter-matt-araiza-wasnt-present-during-alleged-gang-rape-225211550.html
  7. My man wasn't taking the lead": Kisha Chavis downplays divorce possibility despite Joe Smith's disapproval of her OnlyFans. Former NBA player Joe Smith and Kisha Chavis had a confrontation that quickly went viral. Smith found out “on the fly” that his wife had an OnlyFans page. In the said clip, Chavis explained that she did it out of necessity as they couldn’t get their cash flow going. Smith was livid that she did it and did it behind his back In an interview with TMZ, the former singer revealed that Smith has stopped talking to her and is probably living with a relative. While people on social media think that a divorce is inevitable, the wife is not jumping to that conclusion: In the said interview, Kisha Chavis admitted that she thought that they would take off as a couple. Joe Smith earned $61 million in 16 seasons in the NBA. He reportedly had $18 million left when he retired from basketball. However, the couple’s poor business decisions, depression and Covid-19 took a heavy toll on their finances. Chavis claimed to have started a few businesses but they just didn’t do as expected. She finally made a “business decision.”
  8. 20 Things I've Learned (Or Had Confirmed) About Humanity During The 'Pandemic': 1/ Most people would rather be in the majority, than be right. 2/ At least 20% of the population has strong authoritarian tendencies, which will emerge under the right conditions. 3/ Fear of death is only rivaled by the fear of social disapproval. The latter could be stronger. 4/ Propaganda is just as effective in the modern day as it was 100 years ago. Access to limitless information has not made the average person any wiser. 5/ Anything and everything can and will be politicised by the media, government, and those who trust them. 6/ Many politicians and large corporations will gladly sacrifice human lives if it is conducive to their political and financial aspirations. 7/ Most people believe the government acts in the best interests of the people. Even many who are vocal critics of the government. 8/ Once they have made up their mind, most people would rather commit to being wrong, than admit they were wrong. 9/ Humans can be trained and conditioned quickly and relatively easily to significantly alter their behaviours – for better or worse. 10/ When sufficiently frightened, most people will not only accept authoritarianism, but demand it. 11/ People who are dismissed as ‘conspiracy theorists’ are often well researched and simply ahead of the mainstream narrative. 12/ Most people value safety and security more than freedom and liberty, even if said ‘safety’ is merely an illusion. 13/ Hedonic adaptation occurs in both directions, and once inertia sets in, it is difficult to get people back to ‘normal’. 14/ A significant % of people thoroughly enjoy being subjugated. 15/ ‘The Science’ has evolved into a secular pseudo-religion for millions of people in the West. This religion has little to do with science itself. 16/ Most people care more about looking like they are doing the right thing, rather than actually doing the right thing. 17/ Politics, the media, science, and the healthcare industries are all corrupt, to varying degrees. Scientists and doctors can be bought as easily as politicians. 18/ If you make people comfortable enough, they will not revolt. You can keep millions docile as you strip their rights, by giving them money, food, and entertainment. 19/ Modern people are overly complacent and lack vigilance when it comes to defending their own freedoms from government overreach. 20/ It’s easier to fool a person than to convince them that they have been fooled. Bonus thought: 21/ Most people are fairly compassionate and have good intentions (this is good) As a result, most people deeply struggle to understand that some people, including our ‘leaders’, CAN have malicious or perverse intentions (this is bad). https://twitter.com/ZubyMusic/status/1412012537986568193
