Berkeley law professor asks employers not to hire 'my antisemitic law students': It’s ‘your duty’ .....University of California Berkeley law professor Steven Davidoff Solomon called out some of his students for supporting "antisemitic conduct" on campus. ....."My students are largely engaged and well-prepared, and I regularly recommend them to legal employers," Solomon wrote in an op-ed published in the Wall Street Journal Sunday. When a US politician arrives, they announce the general areas where they will be located, so it won't be attacked. This was done for Ukraine, various world leaders "visited" but it was to essentially slow down or stop attacks. If you have a US Senator on the ground and then they are tragically killed by Hamas rockets, how does that play out? Now America has to go to war. Biden can go to several places, and essentially "safeguard" them by simply showing up. Also POTUS arriving allows for operational cover for other military assets to show up. "They are additional assets to protect the President" OK, no one really believes that, but it works. Finally Biden is getting dragged through the mud here domestically in terms of his failed administration. It allows for a change of narrative, at least for a short while, from both the national and international daily media cycles. Bizarrely though, a counter narrative that the GOP and RNC's Ronna McDaniel can use is that Biden wouldn't visit East Palestine, here in the US.

******* I actually don't agree with all of this. Palestine and Hamas are not the exact same thing. There is a complex geopolitical context in which Palestine does have some, IMHO, legitimate concerns and complaints about Israel. Do I think that should escalate to terrorist attacks? No. But I also don't think treating all of Palestine and all it's previous issues as a pure "monolith" lumped up with Hamas is a completely fair position. But what I will say is this is the product of the "cancel culture" Some people who are getting run over by the cancel culture right now over Israel/Palestine are likely some of the same folks who didn't mind cancelling others when it fit their own political agenda. The "cancel culture" is what some on the activist radical left wanted. Well once you let that beast out of the cage, you don't quite know where it will end up. Thus the saying "The Left Eats Itself"

The core problem is Iran is developing nuclear weapons, and if they succeed, they will desperately want to kill as many Americans as possible. Obviously the power structure in Iran is different from the every day rank and file working class Iranians who are just trying to get by in life, like everyone else. Whether or not Iran is complicit with Hamas, it simply serves US national security that they be neutralized. A "soft war" would be to flood Iran with fentanyl. That pathway offers the best ratio for cost for effective damage to Iran's nuclear hopes. Deniability in the international daily media cycle would also be easy to control and manipulate. Whether Iran is guilty or not for what happened in Israel, the hard answer is they are a current and large scale threat to American national security, so they need to be hammered into submission. The activist leftists here will buckle at my take on this, but many of the current high ranking Iranian regime right now are known for shooting down passenger airliners. Activist radical leftists should think ten times over about that before their children get onto another airplane in the future.

Military Industrial Complex might reap from TWO brand new forever wars on the US taxpayer dime. The LGBT community got more Pro Trans Extremism than anyone could imagine. They have every reason to give money. Big Pharma and Big Healthcare love the DNC and Team Blue. Look how much they reaped from the vaccine mandates and cancel culture around COVID19. I mean none of this helps every day working class people, but since when did Biden ( really Susan Rice and Neera Tanden as proxies for Obama and the corporate establishment) give a single damn about average rank and file folks? The problem is down the ticket, small dollar political donations are critical, and they have absolutely cratered. Down the ticket, Team Blue will take huge hits in 2024 and 2026. You can't win elections without money and the spigot has been turned off. There isn't enough corporate capture for political pork to fund everyone's burn rate across the entire Party. This is a basic math problem that doesn't add up for the DNC, even with their Joint Finance Agreements.

California to allow some Mexican residents near border to get in-state community college tuition ....Low-income Mexican students living near the US border can now cross over and attend certain community colleges in California at in-state tuition rates under a new law signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom. The legislation, signed by the Democratic governor on Friday, applies to low-income Mexican residents who live within 45 miles of the California-Mexico border and want to attend one of the participating community colleges in the southern part of the Golden State. The current average California community college tuition per year is $1,246 for in-state students and $6,603 for those from out-of-state.....Currently, about 7,000 students cross the California-Mexico border each day, according to the Sacramento Bee.....Separately, Newsom on Friday also signed a new law raising the minimum wage for healthcare workers to $25 per hour over the next decade.....The new law is the second minimum wage increase Newsom has signed after he approved legislation to raise the minimum pay for fast food workers to $20 per hour.
