More Than 12,500 Grades Changed From Failing To Passing At Baltimore High Schools Over Several-Year Span, Audit Finds ....Multiple Baltimore high schools changed more than 12,500 failing grades to passing over a several-year span, according to the findings of an audit released Tuesday by the Maryland Office of the Inspector General for Education. The report was the product of a three-year review of grading procedures within Baltimore City Public Schools, which was launched in response to complaints about students being promoted despite poor academic performance and allegations that teachers were pressured to change grades. Its findings were based on a combination of documents, including emails exchanged by district and school staff, and interviews with educators and administrators, some of whom the auditors' say were reluctant to speak out of fear that it could cost them their jobs. "A culture of fear and a veil of secrecy affected the BCPS system and kept many from speaking freely about misconduct," the report states. "Regrettably, these actions delayed the completion of this investigation and hindered the truth-seeking process." The audit, which covered the school years from 2016 through 2020, found that Patterson High School had the highest number of changed grades (1,390), followed by Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School (780) and Digital Harbor High (592). Baltimore City Public Schools CEO Dr. Sonja Santelises has already conducted an "extensive overhaul" of the school system's grading policy "to ensure that our grading is fair, equitable, and accurately reflects our students' achievements," according to the statement. BU launches inquiry into 'management culture' at Center for Antiracist Research Following sudden layoffs last week at Boston University's Center for Antiracist Research, the school said it is conducting an inquiry into the center’s “management culture” and “grant management practices” under its leader and founder, the scholar and activist Ibram X. Kendi. In a written statement provided to WBUR Wednesday, a BU spokeswoman said the university had initially launched an examination into the center's grant management practices after receiving complaints in the wake of the layoffs, which was first reported by The Boston Globe. News of the sudden layoffs sent a ripple of shock around the BU community given the stature and prominence of Kendi, a nationally renowned scholar on race and best-selling author of the 2019 non-fiction book, "How to Be an Antiracist." Kendi, 41, originally founded what used to be known as the Antiracist Research and Policy Center in 2017 at American University in Washington D.C. BU recruited him to move the program to Boston University in June 2020. At the time, BU leadership told WBUR the new Center for Antiracist Research would "bring together researchers and practitioners from across the university to engage around issues of racism and racial justice." Staff at the Center was tasked with pursuing multiple projects, including the creation of a racial disparities database, an anti-racist graduate degree program and a media publication. I believe a confident Zach Wilson has the tools to do this. However, in the event that this is not the case, I would love to offer you a risk-free contingency plan. I am sure of my ability to provide you with an elite QB option if, God forbid, QB1 goes down. Something to consider is Tim doesn't believe a single word he says ever. He wants attention. He doesn't care how he gets it. He needs to be the pure center of attention at all times. When he's not, he freaks out and does his same toxic song and dance that utterly destroyed "the other place" The main problem is he can't game the Report Button here with his aliases and he can't try to become "buddy buddy" with key people to try to get them to excuse his toxic behavior. If Tim thought he could get more attention and get away with attacking more people by being a hard line MAGA guy, he'd do that instead. Something I've said about Kyle Rittenhouse is that his family are now all targets. They get death threats too. In effect, Heard will get death threats, and then that will extend to her family. Not saying that aspect of it is right, but it's how it works. She made it easier for her family to die. Someone could just snap on her in public, attempt to harm her, and hit her family members around her instead. Or try to burn down her house, but her family will be inside instead. No one, and I mean NO ONE should want to go "viral" in a way like this. Something to remember is that Americans tend to forget that this is not tolerated in every other country. There are other countries in the world where she would be immediately killed for doing that. You also don't know the backgrounds of strangers. She could have done that in another country, the singer is related to some gangsters, then they go and kill her and her family for sport. If you can condense it into one sentence that enrages working class Americans, then you have a legitimate narrative into the national daily media cycle. The majority of the country are low information voters. Both Republicans and Democrats. No one believes that Joe Biden, James Biden or Hunter Biden will go to prison, not for a single day, for any of this. It is a nail in the coffin. Not for conviction but for "small dollar political donations" Team Blue and the DNC are far more reliant on them, particularly further down the ticket you go, than the GOP. Combine this with the BLM "mansions" scandal plus the total wrecking of the American economy, and you'll see the money spigot turned off. Because Team Blue controls many of the major levers of power ( Big Social Media, Hollywood, Big Education, Big Tech, etc, etc), they can decide to cheat on a broad scale during the 2024 cycle. The problem there won't be the Republican Party, the problem then will be the military. Our country is ripe for a full blown military coup at some point. The idea of small unit militias attempting to overthrow the government is far fetched. However having IFVs and tanks rolling through the streets is another story. You mentioned you served before. There is a litmus where the top ranking military, backed by the Military Industrial Complex, is going to say the current government structure is no longer useful and tenable. In effect, you can't be a parasite if you kill the host. The "host" being working class people.
