The Official "Political Tweets That Have Aged Horribly" Thread

It's a media management decision. By mid next year, Trump's campaign during the primaries will run ads showing everyone who backed Biden in 2020. This is to cause them to stay out of politics. Which will reduce young voter turnout. Younger voters typically lean Democrat when they vote. You cannot market Anti-American sentiment. It's advertising death in a bottle. Nike managed to shift Kaepernick's anti-patriotic stance, which should have ended him, into "social justice" That was one of the greatest media salvage jobs in recorded modern history. Being associated with Biden now, especially to celebrities with huge platforms, is akin to hating America, particularly working class America. Every candidate for office down the ticket will try to get photos of their opponents standing next to Biden, or release video with their opponent next to Biden. This is not just the GOP, but also the Progressives looking to primary out establishment Democrats. But it's too late. Many celebrities who backed Biden are going to take hits in their engagement numbers, merchandise sales, etc, etc. Cardi B is for Cardi B and she screwed up, she should have stayed in her own lane. There is close to no benefit to endorse any kind of politics in public if you are celebrity. Yes, it will get you into the national daily media cycle for the short term, but you are alienating up to half the country otherwise for the long term.

You didn't have to scroll at all. Don't get me wrong, I'd slightly prefer the part of your toxicity that tries to run open purity tests on when others post when you are posting yourself on major holidays compared to the countless times you seem to creepily handwave off public school teachers who harm innocent children. How many people here with kids would want their children anywhere near you? Go on, do it, tell everyone you are not a pedophile, that you are just "perverted" instead.

The 100 plus nights of rioting completely crashed Portland's overall budget. Not just for 2020 but cascading for years and years to come. Departures in their local law enforcement requires replacement, if possible. Which is expensive in training costs. All the overtime for the police there and other emergency services for the endless riots, burning and looting racked up a huge bill. It's not like you could stop paying those officers holding the line, night after night, for endless hour after hour. Then Governor Kate Brown finally deployed the National Guard, in force, AFTER Biden had the presumptive victory over Trump in the 2020 general election. Only AFTER. Despite desperate pleas from elected officials down the ticket in Oregon to send them in to help them. It was politically expedient for Team Blue and the DNC to let small businesses burn. It was a veiled threat - If you elect Trump, you'll get more of this and it will never ever stop. But it also crashed the budgets all over the state. This is why Pelosi pushed so hard for "stimulus", because it also included massive funding to high population cities, which means Big Blue Cities. Because without that, with all the furloughs needed to meet the shortfall, it would cause an endless stream of city and state employees to start voting hard Red. So not only did small businesses get torched and looted, not only did the quality and quantity of law enforcement collapse, not only did this increase inflation and the deficit, but it also dovetailed into impacting the budgets of all the education sectors in Oregon too. This was the price of "Orange Man Bad" Keep in mind Kate Brown was caught using state funds to pay for her personal law license renewal. And for her various vacations. The people she hobnobs with send their kids to wealthy elite private schools. Well, in Oregon, they voted for it. Now they get to watch their children and their children's futures burn for it. Except not everyone voted for it. Some voted against it. But some didn't vote at all. But that's the problem for the Democrats now. Now people who didn't vote before are going to vote. In SF, elderly grandparents, seeing their grandchildren disbarred out of advanced high school courses for "equity", began voter drives. Tired exhausted older people who don't speak any English. The message was sent out - They are coming for our kids and grand kids. So now the school boards in SF got a bunch of people kicked out. Now there are clear pockets of hard Red in what were previously Blue strongholds and safe zones. It's not because they love the GOP so much, it's because Team Blue decided to declare war on America's children. How stupid do you have to be to mess with people's kids? You don't care. Wait until something spins out of control where you live. Near your neighborhoods. Close to where you live. And tears apart your own children. Then you'll care.

https://forums.footballguys.com/threads/official-donald-j-trump-impeachment-whistleblower-thread.780181/post-22461508 "To nobody’s surprise, many Trump critics here believe that Schiff’s arguments will be long remembered and that Trump will be seen to have committed high crimes for which he was not removed for. Also to nobody’s surprise, some of the Trump fans around here think this will be remembered as Democratic overreach and that Trump’s defense team will prove that point starting tomorrow. I’m more sympathetic to the first argument but I don’t think either is correct. Much as I’d like to believe that Schiff’s excellent speeches will be remembered in the manner of Joseph Welch, I don’t think they will be. I don’t think any of the arguments on either side will be remembered."

Going to law school and passing the bar are real accomplishments. I considered it but was too lazy (and probably not smart enough.) https://forums.footballguys.com/threads/verizon-required-to-give-all-call-data-to-nsa.682440/page-20#post-15643179 I'm impressed at how you guys keep trying to catch me being inconsistent. I regret to say that if you try hard enough, you probably will. I am no lawyer, no Constitutional expert, and any attempt that I make personally to justify these actions under the 4th Amendment is going to be full of screw ups, I'm sure. https://forums.footballguys.com/threads/the-russia-investigation-trump-pardons-flynn.753528/page-1432#post-21055747 I’m no lawyer, but I did take a class on Constitutional law once

Can you prove that beyond a reasonable doubt? I don't see J6 as defensible in any measure. It was bad for the country, it was bad for Conservatives, it was bad for everyone on the entire political spectrum, it was bad for our foreign policy, it was bad long term for how our government operates. But 5000 or so idiots do not constitute the entire slate of 74 million who voted for Trump in the 2020 cycle. But that's how it's being treated. To actually put Trump in the jackpot legally, for J6, you need to show "specific intent" In more basic terms, you need a "smoking gun", you will need Trump on video, with audio, saying he knew he lost the election, but that he was going to go ahead and try to subvert the results anyway. Do you have that? Does Team Blue? Does the DNC? Does the corporate establishment? Do the dark money donors? The core argument that Jack Smith will make, amidst all the other senseless political theater, is the amount of time between Trump's messages. However Big Social Media ( Twitter was still run by Jack Dorsey then, and Twitter's Trust And Safety, was still run then by Vijaya Gadde) began to lock down Trump's accounts. The gap in time from what is being called Trump's "incitement" and his later tweets is something tangible. There's no subjectivity in a block of time. However that's not enough to assess that Trump showed specific intent to subvert an election, that he did, beyond a reasonable doubt, knew that he had lost entirely beforehand. Unethical is not the same as illegal. Trump calling Brian Kemp in Georgia to ask him to use the Governor's emergency powers to override the Georgia's Secretary of State's Office is unethical. It's actually stupid practically and politically. There was no upside to asking and doing it. But it wasn't illegal. No one in their right mind would advise Trump to make that call. But it's still not illegal. Biden commented on the Rittenhouse and Chauvin legal cases BEFORE the respective juries came back with verdicts. Biden had a campaign ad that implied Rittenhouse was a white supremacist, when no such thing was ever shown to be true. Biden speaking to the press in the national daily media cycle about ongoing legal cases is high unethical. But it's not illegal. Slandering Rittenhouse ( just because the kid is an imbecile and used like a pawn by both sides doesn't mean he's removed from actual due process) was illegal. But no one was going to prosecute Biden for that. It comes back to the same core issue with you. You don't understand the law. At all. You are free to have any opinions you want. But you don't get to change the law on the books right now. You simply repeat what's on the left leaning activist MSM. Then assess that as the absolute truth of the matter. Which is completely insane. Maybe you just don't care. If you actually cared, you'd research on the actual crimes being accused and what legal standards are required to actually put Trump in the legal jackpot. Again, hear this again, you have no idea what you are talking about when it comes to the law. You won't empower yourself by trying to learn more. Even when I bring up issues, since you don't like any of it, you just pretend nothing was said at all. I won't call you stupid, but your behavior here is ignorant. Doing what you are doing right now is how people stay ignorant. And that has nothing to do with Donald Trump at all. We live in the Internet age, you have all the tools at your disposal to learn more. You could literally look up an endless cycle of legal discussion and precedent regarding "specific intent". But you won't. Is this how you raise your own kids? To stay ignorant? When it comes to Trump and the actual law, if Trump is in trouble, I say it. When he's not, I say that too and why. The documents case is a real problem for him. His position there is completely indefensible. The rest of these cases are nothingburgers and political theater only. That's it, that's all there is and that's all there is going to be. If Team Blue could put him into the jackpot for J6, they would have done it already. Stay ignorant, if that's your choice. If you keep choosing that path, then I plain just feel sorry for your children.
