  1. Liz Cheney Wants to Make Torture Great Again She’s back in Washington, and she’s eager to pick up where her dad left off....When Liz Cheney returned to her ancestral home state of Wyoming in 2012, she expected to be greeted as a liberator....But in the rush to jump-start her political career, Cheney neglected to inform the man she was angling to replace—Mike Enzi, her father’s fly-fishing buddy and the state’s senior senator. Enzi had been planning to retire after 2014, and had Cheney asked for his blessing, he might have stepped aside. When she surprised him by jumping into the race, he decided his retirement could wait..... ....Things descended from there. A local newspaper revealed that Cheney had obtained a Wyoming fishing license without fulfilling the residency requirements. Robocalls alleged that she supported same-sex marriage, prompting her to proclaim that she did not, and provoking her sister, Mary, who is gay, to denounce her on Facebook and cancel their Christmas plans. Cheney found herself in the crosshairs of a bitter insurgency with few allies on her side. She dropped out of the race before the primary.....In November, bolstered by a few mended fences and backed by family friends such as Karl Rove and Donald Rumsfeld, Cheney easily won her race to succeed retiring Republican Rep. Cynthia Lummis for Wyoming’s lone House seat, which was once held by her dad. After eight long years in exile, the Cheneys are back in government, and it might be a while before they go away again..... Cheney, a veteran of the Bush administration who has inherited her father’s hawkish views, is returning to a Washington, DC, far different from the one the former vice president left eight years ago. After the missing weapons of mass destruction, the Iraqi insurgency, Abu Ghraib, and the other foreign policy and national security fiascoes of the 2000s, neoconservatives lost their grip on the Republican Party....Then Donald Trump blew up everything. With Trump, the GOP coalesced around a candidate who’d lambasted George W. Bush for invading Iraq (despite once supporting the invasion) and flirted with 9/11 truthers. He played footsie with Vladimir Putin and, according to the National Security Agency’s director, got an intentional boost from Russian hacking—all while chastising Hillary Clinton for not being tough enough. He opposed military intervention in Syria but promised to “bomb the ####” out of ISIS and, for good measure, to take its oil. He enthusiastically defended torture and said Edward Snowden should be killed. Several veterans of the Bush administration, including Colin Powell, endorsed Clinton. (The ex-president himself said he did not vote for Trump.) ...Unlike many members of the Bush administration, Cheney was also an unabashed supporter of Donald Trump.... Even as her father’s dark shadow receded after 2008, she emerged as one of Obama’s most relentless national security critics. With a fervor that felt personal, she pilloried the president for changing course on torture and Iraq. But unlike many members of the Bush administration, Cheney was also an unabashed supporter of Trump, embracing some of his more heretical views on trade and immigration and warning that Clinton was little more than a “felon.” In her first week on Capitol Hill, she has emerged as one of the most vocal defenders of President Trump’s plan to bring back torture. She may just be a bridge by which the neocon establishment returns from exile.... ...Although her campaign ads touted her family’s deep Western roots, Cheney spent all but two years of her childhood in the suburbs of northern Virginia. ...Her senior political science thesis, “Evolution of Presidential War Powers,” argued that Congress had only limited authority to restrain the executive branch on matters of military intervention. “The president’s duty to protect national security sometimes comes before his responsibility to keep Congress informed,” she wrote. A decade and a half later, the Bush-Cheney administration would take much the same position.... ....After college, Cheney entered the family business, taking a job at the US Agency for International Development during the first Bush administration and working under the direction of Richard Armitage, a future architect of the invasion of Iraq. When **** Cheney chose himself as George W. Bush’s running mate in 2000, Liz left her job in international finance to join the campaign. ...But if anything, she was just as much of a hardliner as he was. According to a recent biography, George H.W. Bush called Liz “tough” and speculated that she’d pushed her father to become even more hawkish....Her first splash came three months after the inauguration, when the Justice Department released new information on the Bush administration’s use of torture. Cheney took the move, along with Obama’s efforts to shut down the Guantanamo Bay detention camp, as a personal insult to her family’s legacy. On cable news programs and at conservative conferences, Cheney became her father’s defender in chief. “When you see the current administration making decisions that really do have the potential to make us less safe, in those circumstances, I would say the vice president doesn’t think that there’s an obligation to be silent,” she said in her fiery debut as a conservative talking head on MSNBC. “There are important reasons why we put policies in place. They clearly kept us safe for seven years.” She co-authored her dad’s memoir, a spirited defense of his tenure as one of America’s least popular vice presidents, and even half-seriously floated him as a possible presidential candidate.... ....The chaos of the Trump campaign shattered some of the party’s long-held tenets, but neocon dead-enders who see the president as a blank slate sense an opportunity to return to influence. Cheney has already begun assembling a coalition of the willing. In the final days of the election, she started writing personal checks to Republican candidates in swing districts, future colleagues who just might remember the favor sometime in the near future. Even a Cheney can dabble in soft power now and then.... https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2017/01/liz-cheney-congress-donald-trump-torture/
  2. Liz Cheney: Democrats Have Become The Party Of Anti-Semitism, Infanticide, And Socialism Rep. Liz Cheney, the third-ranking Republican in the House, told NBC's "Meet The Press" on Sunday that since taking the majority, Democrats have become the party of "anti-Semitism," "infanticide," and "socialism." ...."The Democrats have been in charge for about 2 1/2 months in the House. In that time, they’ve been the party of anti-Semitism, the party of infanticide, the party of socialism. It’s really time for the Democrats, the leadership in that party, to stop it, to stand up and to act worthy, frankly, of the trust the American people have placed in them..." https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2019/03/10/liz_cheney_democrats_have_become_the_party_of_anti-semitism_infanticide_and_socialism.html Liz Cheney Is Not Your Friend Just because she’s not getting along with Trump and Kevin McCarthy doesn’t make the current Cheney any less of a vitriol-spewing extremist....The most dangerous game in Washington is the one that starts with an assumption that “the enemy of my enemy in my friend.”...That’s the rationale a lot of otherwise reasonable people are employing as they discuss their newfound affection for Liz Cheney....But Cheney is no friend of Democrats, no friend of fairness and decency in American politics, and no friend of the truth...She’s a rigidly right-wing Republican who got on the wrong side of a power struggle with her fellow rigidly right-wing Republicans.... .... The explanation for her perilous circumstance is simple enough: What was once a party where the name “Cheney” had a lot of sway is now a party where the only name that has any sway is “Trump.”...Liz Cheney is not some moderate maverick Republican who is breaking with her party on policy. She is a right-wing warmonger whose crude attacks on people of color, immigrants, Muslims, and progressives carry the same venom as those of the most extreme members of her caucus—and of the 45th president, whose election in 2016 and reelection in 2020 she enthusiastically supported....But don’t think for a second that she’s standing above the political fray on the high ground of morality. She’s a hyper-partisan, hyper-ideological political strategist who is playing the long game, just as her father did over the course of a political career that began in the Nixon White House during the Vietnam War (in which he avoided serving by collecting multiple draft deferments), extended through the George H.W. Bush White House during the Persian Gulf War (which he mismanaged as a bumbling secretary of defense whose service to the military-industrial complex was so subservient that he ended up as the bumbling CEO of Halliburton), and that ended in the George W. Bush White House during the Iraq War (into which he steered the United States with outrageous lies and a promise that American troops would be “greeted as liberators”)... ....The notion that Liz Cheney is the voice of reason and responsibility is not supported by her record. She’s a fierce militarist, busily proposing new sanctions on Iran, and condemning President Biden’s plans to end the forever war in Afghanistan as “reckless.” She’s sold out to the defense contractors; in March, she ripped House Democrats for making the “grave mistake” of proposing even modest cuts in the bloated Pentagon budget. And she’s every bit as prone to cast jaw-droppingly extreme votes as her colleagues: vigorously opposing the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, attacking even the mildest responses to gun violence as “an assault…on the freedom of the people in Wyoming,” and dismissing the popular American Rescue Plan as a “dangerous” package of “far-left priorities” that “will allow taxpayer money to fund abortion” and “provide stimulus checks for illegal immigrants, criminals, and even terrorists....” ....Two days before the 2020 presidential election, Cheney said Vice President Kamala Harris “sounds like Karl Marx.” Why? The Democrat had dared to suggest that equitable treatment of disadvantaged Americans might involve “giving people the resources and the support they need” to compete on an equal footing with wealthier Americans....Cheney also accused Harris of supporting infanticide—announcing on national television after Biden had selected the California senator as his running mate that Harris backed “abortion up until the ninth month and beyond.” Cheney then proceeded to dismiss Harris’s qualifications—as a former elected prosecutor, state attorney general, and US senator—by claiming that “Joe Biden clearly decided that he was going to make a choice based on somebody’s gender, based on their race and based on his need to placate the very-far socialist left of his party....” Cheney has reserved her most venomous language for the first two Muslim women to serve in the US House of Representatives. Her targeting of Representatives Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) borders on “obsession....she goes to such extremes that her rhetoric "smacks either of a deep-seated anti-Arab/Muslim bigotry or crass politics designed to prey on the bigotry of your ‘base.’ In either case it’s disgraceful. Your party’s been playing this game for a decade. Shame....” https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/liz-cheney-trump/

Tennessee City Has Banned Being Gay In Public

One of the biggest cheerleaders for the LGBT movement in Tennessee is Gavin Newsom. Who vetoed a hard line fringe extremist LGBT bill that would have completely sunk his POTUS hopes for the future. So much for his virtue signaling. I'm wagering his CCP loving, gun snatching, cheating on his wives ways won't sit well with Middle America. Clear enough "law language" now for you? Don't mess with kids. Don't mess with people's children. Is the "pushback" too extreme? People can decide that for themselves. But once you mess with people's kids, then the gloves are off. ALL PARENTS. You have to be a complete idiot, I'm referring to Team Blue, the DNC and the Obama/Biden machine here, to think you can just go after people's children like this and there would be no blowback from it all. Doug Mastriano was a Trump backed "Stop The Steal" candidate that is completely terrifying. To anyone. Doesn't matter who you support politically, there is no value and no safety in letting a potential tyrant like Mastriano in office. Guess who funded his campaign? The DNC and Team Blue packed MILLIONS into Mastriano's campaign for him, because they wanted him to win the GOP primary, betting that he would be easier to beat in a general. But what if he won? You go after kids and you keep going after them, you'll start to lose elections ( re: Glenn Youngkin in Virginia) Not every situation will end up like Mastriano losing. Then how does that help public policy that you want to lean in your direction? The real tragedy is the activist radicals here think the carnage will only start and stop with Conservative and Republican children. No, at some point, Team Blue and the DNC will find it expedient to go after your children too. Some of you, not all, voted to make it easier to turn your children into open cannon fodder. Congratulations.

Cenk Uyghr of The Young Turks, a hard line progressive, covers the basic dynamic very well - If you are the Party or the current government in power and you push for public policy that declares war on the working class and their children, then you will lose elections. Lots of them. Then with elected officials, some of whom will be highly antagonistic to your causes, and may have even campaigned and won on stopping your "causes", you'll start to see public policy enacted that works against all your interests. Uyghr keeps that part pretty simple - The end goal to see change in public policy for the long term is to win elections and keep winning them. And you can't do that by enraging the working class and parents. Some of the LGBT community ( not all) decided to go to war and mock Christians in the state. Mock parents who were already embattled by inflation, crime and the pandemic ( particularly school lockdowns) What did anyone think was going to happen? Nearly all adult Americans could care less about what the LGBT community does or does not do AS LONG AS YOU KEEP IT AWAY FROM KIDS. And you don't win hearts and minds by trying to cancel people and bully them into the hard edge fringe LGBT agenda.

CNN Jul 24, 2016 - Hillary Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said in an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper that 'experts' have said Russians coordinated the hack and release of DNC emails to help the Donald Trump campaign.

    Trump INDICTED

Practical Law 101 - Anything you can take away from the prosecution, you do it. Even if you think it's immaterial in your own mind. It's not an admission of guilt. It's just how the law is practically applied in the real world. It's a sign of desperation that, in effect, Trump keeps being put on "trial" again and again. The two impeachments were not criminal trials. They were however clear politically motivated persecutions beyond all reasonable measure. The J6 Hearings were a proxy for a third impeachment. Jack Smith is a hard partisan. This is legal theater, it's not going anywhere. The documents case is the only case that has real legal teeth. That's a real mess for Trump and I don't see much way out of that one. Team Blue should focus on that. Put it this way, if a brand name establishment Democrat was in the same position as Trump, their defense would do the exact same thing. Donald J Trump is a narcissist, a grifter and a complete and total imbecile. But just because he's all that doesn't mean he's somehow lost the right to a practical legal defense. When the Nazis started purging the Jews in WW2, they didn't start with the social elite. The wealthy. The connected. They started with the vagrants, the homeless, the gypsies, the outcasts first. Some people even cheered it on. Until it was their turn. That's what you don't see here. You are cheering for the erosion of actual democratic processes. What happens when there is no more Trump? Or no more Conservatives? Or no more Republicans? What happens if all the "right wing" enemies, in your eyes, finally get crushed to dust? Do you think your children will magically be spared? Be given a seat on that elusive Team Blue lifeboat? No, it will just be your turn. And your children's turn. Keep celebrating. Keep clapping. Keep cheering it all on. While ignoring that your children's names are on that "cancel" list too. Just written a little further down.

At the "other place", I was the only lawyer there who brought up the Brandenburg Test in regards to Trump and J6. When presented with Brandenburg, the other lawyers there, most of them activist leftists, tucked their tails and ran. Because Brandenburg is Basic Law 101. If you want to get Trump for J6, you need to find a way around Brandenburg. Feel free to try. Feel free to try to find any legal "pundit" ( usually it would be a hard partisan) who attempts to explain how that would work and survive actual legal and judicial scrutiny. I've seen a few proposals shown that basically handwave off Brandenburg, as if they can magically make it go away. Now, to be fair, if someone said Brandenburg was outdated and the ruling back then could never have accounted for the way speed of information and social media works today, I would agree with that. But you need to change the law or you need new precedent first. Brandenburg, while imperfect today, is what we have right now. You aren't a lawyer. You've said as much. Your alias has said as much. The original person behind this account of yours has also said they aren't a lawyer. You are free to have your own opinions and your own free speech. However you can't circumvent fundamental law here. Change the law, through actual democratic processes, then go get Trump, if it's that important to you. But to continue to "game" every legal principle, every institution, every previously held standard for more Orange Man Bad is not good for our country. If you think Trump is a disease, then the cure can't be worse than the disease. But that's what happening right now. Eventually the FBI will have to be dismantled over what happened with Trump. Personally I find Trump to be an imbecile and I want him out of professional politics period. But he's still and American citizen. You can't just do whatever you want to persecute someone for over 8 years straight. Clearly you don't care. The law that is broken, and the principles behind it burned to ash, to chase Trump, will be the same standards used going forward for the kind of world your children will inherit. Do you hate Trump that much? That you'll watch your own children burn for it? Maybe you do. What do you think will happen first? More Trump will end democracy as we all know it? ( As many here have claimed) Or the chase to persecute Trump will erode so many core democratic processes and principles that our Republic will effectively be crushed under the weight of believing hunting one man is worth this much total carnage?

    Antisemites riot for DNC

The Squad, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Jon Ossoff, Michelle Wu, and others, their campaigns actually fund "paid protestors" There's a reason why "protestors" would show up in U-Hauls with basically riot gear and weapons in Big Blue Cities in 2020. These kind of "scenes" generate noise in the national daily media cycle, which increases fundraising for the Progressive base of the Democratic Party. Certainly they all aren't paid protesters. But the "grassroots" organizers are usually in the pocket of specific elected officials. BLM took in massive donation hauls after every riot. They did not have their own charter, so they used a shell called Thousand Currents. People would donate to Act Blue as a portal to Thousand Currents, meant for BLM. BLM would take a large share of that money and hire "consultant agencies", which were just storefronts and dark money pump operations for the DNC. In effect, small businesses all across the country, many minority owned, were burned, looted and destroyed. And Team Blue got paid for it. The Democratic Party is more beholden to small dollar political donations compared to the GOP. And the Progressive base is even more reliant on them, as the corporate overlords won't give them anything, lest they incite the establishment Democrats. The more the money spigot gets turned off, by Team Blue's own incompetence and corruption no less, the more there is a groundswell to incite more violence to engage public interest to try to recoup some more fundraising. It's the same fundamental reason Obama didn't codify Roe into law when he had the numbers to do it. Why lose that fundraising and "fresh meat for the base" for Team Blue's down the ticket elections?

    War in Israel

The DNC doesn't care about working class people protesting and rioting and looting. They care about losing Pennsylvania and Michigan down the ticket. The demographic breakdowns there will not lean in their favor come the 2024 general cycle. Also small dollar political donations have cratered. The overall fundraising has cratered for all the non brand name politicians. All the spending in 2020 to use dark money for ballot harvesting and ballot chasing, that's not something that can be repeated easily. Once you "buy a voter", you are stuck having to buy that vote forever if you want it again. This will also cause a massive rise, again, for Nikki Haley from the other side. In a VPOTUS debate, Haley will completely run over Kamala Harris. The establishment Democrats are getting finger cuffed here. The GOP will reap the cash infusion from all the big hitter Jewish donors who are infuriated by the appeasement of the hard left section of Team Blue. While the Progressive base will egg on this non stop barrage against everyone, targeting the establishment Democrats, to try to salvage their own fundraising and to try to primary out whomever Hakeem Jeffries sends forward now. Leftists are literally cannibalizing themselves and there isn't enough Orange Man Bad to paint over this for 2024. Team Blue is now completely reliant, not just on low information voters, but those who don't even go outside their individual bubbles ( the elderly voters who watch one news channel every night and young white college educated women in Big Blue Cities)

https://forums.footballguys.com/topic/784560-former-staffer-accuses-joe-biden-of-sexual-assault/?do=findComment&comment=22688046 timschochet Posted April 29, 2020: Your argument here is based on two false premises: 1. In late April of 2020, with the coronavirus causing a nearly national sheltering in place, thousands of deaths and total chaos, there is no time to replace Joe Biden as the nominee even if it were clear that he is guilty of this charge (which it is not and never will be.) There’s no public will or desire to do so and no time to build up such a desire. Even a serious attempt to do so would not succeed in removing Biden; it would only serve to weaken his candidacy. 2. I am not dismissing Ms. Reade’s claim. My argument is that, given the issues at stake, it’s not relevant to pursue. She claims it happened; he denies it, there’s nowhere to go. https://forums.footballguys.com/topic/784560-former-staffer-accuses-joe-biden-of-sexual-assault/?do=findComment&comment=22681890 timschochet Posted April 26, 2020: Not really laughing. I’m certainly not laughing at Ms. Reade. I’ve no doubt that Joe Biden touched her inappropriately, talked to her inappropriately, and that the incident stuck with her. Unfortunately it appears that Joe, like so many men of his age, exhibited chauvinist tendencies. Hopefully, largely thanks to the #metoo movement, that behavior is no longer acceptable. I have grave doubts that he hand raped her as she is now claiming. I don’t find that to be consistent with anything we know about him or her. And I think the media has behaved correctly and without hypocrisy, and I am without hypocrisy on this subject. So what I was laughing at was all your “shames!” Obviously I don’t find a single one of them warranted. https://forums.footballguys.com/topic/784560-former-staffer-accuses-joe-biden-of-sexual-assault/?do=findComment&comment=22682007 timschochet Posted April 26, 2020: ....And now we have this situation in which I tell you I don’t believe Reade, and you accuse me of feeling that way because I am for Joe Biden and you call it disgusting. I don’t know of any media, public health officials, or “elites in general” (whatever that means) that cheered on rioting. You’ll have to provide concrete examples because I don’t think it happened."
  16. 15 Reasons Why Dogs Are Better Than People Dogs really are wonderful creatures. And the more you meet people, the more you come to love dogs. They say dogs are better than humans and we’re sure a lot of you agree. Humans may be considered to be the most intelligent species, but there’s no way we can ever become better creatures than dogs. Here are 15 reasons why. 1. If there is one emotion the human race needs to learn from a dog , it is loyalty. If a dog has ever loved you, he will always be there for you, come what may. 2. Your physical appearance, your pay scale, your bank balance – the dog judges you on none. You can make a fool out of yourself and be assured they will join you in all the madness. 3. There will never come a time when your dog wouldn’t want to see you. They always make you feel wanted. 4. It doesn’t take much to win a dog’s heart. A pat on the head, a two-minute belly rub or just an old shoe – they find joy in the smallest things in life. 5. They don’t think too much; they just do what they feel like. They curl up by your side when they want to be with you, they fetch a ball when they want you to play with them, they lick you if they like you – without wanting anybody’s approval. If you come to think of it, they are much freer than you and I. 6. They never whine or mull over what could be. Whatever comes their way, they find a way to enjoy it. 7. Theirs is the most unconditional love you will ever receive. People may change and friends may grow apart but a dog’s love only grows stronger. 8. They have a way with people. They know, when nothing else works, the puppy face always does. They really know how to make people do what they want and still be loved just as much! 9. People compete; people compete all the time. But, dogs teach you to relax and just be. Lay down in the sun, roll over, play with your best friend all day, eat your favourite food, take a nap, wake up, repeat – a dog definitely knows how to live life king-size. 10. Admit it; they make much better wingmen than your friends. 11. They are always your partner in crime. Every time you spill food, they clean the mess up before your mom sees it. 12. They have the purest intentions ever. They will never be jealous of your happiness. They want the best in the world for you. 13. They are the happiest creatures ever. They’re excited about life. Everyday is a new adventure. And, trust us, their zeal for life is contagious. How often can you say the same about people? 14. You can play all sorts of pranks on them and they will never complain. They are the best of friends you could ever have. 15. They don’t ask you a thousand questions, and yet they know everything. You don’t need words to communicate with them. They know the way around your heart, much better than anyone else does. https://www.mensxp.com/special-features/today/25243-15-reasons-why-dogs-are-better-than-people.html
