Both Tish James and Alvin Bragg ran in New York, from an election standpoint, on the promise to prosecute Trump. For anything. That's a very chilling and repugnant indicator of where America is headed. I'm plainly exhausted of Trump, but as you point out, you can't just do whatever you want to an actual American citizen because it "defends the Team Blue narrative" Putting my lawyer hat on, Trump would be far better off, strictly from a legal standpoint, to just shutting his mouth more often. It's exhausting. However, Trump will have even LESS money to run for POTUS in 2024 than he did in 2016. I know the numbers look big today, his current fundraising, but for a general election, it's pretty thin against the big picture.. Lots of major donors have fled to Nikki Haley and Ron DeSantis. The former because big corporate donors are betting Haley will be the front runner for a VPOTUS slot. And the latter because they are looking to 2028 as well. Trump is attacking because he wants to stay in the public eye. The free media coverage is worth gold to him. The problem is the documents case could really put him in the jackpot here. The larger his public profile in the national daily media cycle, the harder it will be for the "Deep State" to consider assassinating him. Because let's be honest. Clearly big corporate donor overlords want nothing to do with Trump nor Biden anymore. In that regard, both are actually in quite of bit of danger right now.
