It really sucks. I got him a few months after my ex of 10 years up & left me in San Antonio to go back home to be with a 45 year old (we were 23 at the time). So I was crushed but he helped save me & keep me sane while down in SA by myself in the AF. All my friends had someone so it was just me. Then I got him & spent all my time with him. He really is/was a good dog. Out of all the dogs I’ve had and met he’s been the absolute best dog. He was my dads & moms favorite cause of how calm, chill, and laid back he was. Got along great with all other dogs, cats, and humans. The standard he set is gonna be hard to meet. My lab might’ve been our adventure dog & one I take for all outdoor stuff but my boy Chevy was one in a million.

Lesser of two evils which is Trump. I’d LOVE for Vivek or JFK jr to win but I know that isn’t happening especially with Vivek dropped out. That’s currently what I’m doing with him. We took him out of the car in his bed & laid him in our backyard on the grass. Out here with him, my other dog, the black cat we have that loves to go outside during the day but inside at night, wife, & son. Wanted to get some pictures & videos of our son with him cause we don’t have that many of them together. Mostly the other dog cause she’s more active. He started not being able to walk far after my son was born so when we’ve walked him it’s usually just to the stop sign & back which is maybe 50-70 yards down from our house. That’s about all the energy he’d have. Any farther & he’s dragging his feet. So today we are just gonna lay outside with him and try to feed him some good food like steak & hot dogs. His eyes are what has me about to break down. You can see it in his eyes that he’s hurting, he’s sad, and how he just wants his dad to lay there with him petting him

He’s an 11 year old catahoula. They live 10-13 years. So I knew he was getting close to his life expectancy. I just thought it would’ve been more gradual instead of all of a sudden he’s not walking or eating. Vet herself didn’t want to amputate either with how he is cause that might not even fix his issues. I’m on my way to go get him a steak & some hot dogs so he will hopefully eat something. He wouldn’t even eat the soft canned food at the vet they tried feeding him with a tongue depressor so he wouldn’t have to get himself. He didn’t want that

Got flowers, chocolate, cards, & chocolate covered strawberries for the wife. Got a dozen Valentine’s Day cookies im taking my sister. Got a bouquet delivered to my mom’s work for her. Since both my BIL & my dad passed away I’ve been making sure I get both of them something every year. Gonna be cooking a steak fettuccine Alfredo later for dinner. Currently I’m getting my wife a new car since her other one is totaled. Getting her a new 2023 4Runner limited. Haven’t gotten settlement from wreck so I’m having to pay $10K out of pocket for a down payment but it’s fine. Gonna be getting some of that good good later
