White House plans for an 'Arc de Trump'

More ego masturbation while the war in Ukraine rages, our government remains shut down, human rights are under fire and attacks on free press continue. Shameful.

Israel Gaza thread- is the peace agreement still in effect?

Why do you gotta be like this? Biden and Clinton praised Trump. Just accept that they did Trump a solid and not try to squeeze negativity into it. https://www.axios.com/2025/10/14/trump-israel-gaza-peace-deal-biden-clinton-praise

Americans agree we're in a political crisis

Why are we giving tens of billions of dollars to Argentina when we have little to no economic ties to that country and our government is shut down and hard-working Americans are getting laid off? Madness.

Props to Trump for his influence on this. Even Biden has lauded Trump and the accomplishment. See, us liberals can acknowledge and praise a Trump action.

    Trump, National Guard & Portland

Yay! I've been wondering where he has been!
  9. Kind of like the Republican Party as used by MAGA.
  10. I am liberal, and on behalf of myself and my many liberal friends, we hereby acknowledge Antifa's existence. Let's move on, please.
  11. One blog does not constitute something that I would consider well-organized. There are far-right white-nationalist hate groups in this country that are far more organized than Antifa, which is largely anarchist, which fundamentally rejects hierarchy and coercive forms or organization. As for me, I've been here more than two years and have already provided my story, although I'm sure many here would consider trans women a terrorist organization, which I find highly amusing. I stop by here occasionally to check out the conversations. I'd like to think I've been nothing but thoughtful and respectful here, regardless of some of the mean-spirited name-calling and an overall misunderstanding of the LGBTQ community. It was the Portland thread that lured me into weighing in on the proceedings. What the woman in this video says is obviously scripted and rehearsed. Portland is not a war zone, and Antifa is not the well-organized machine that it's being made out to be. This administration is using that as an excuse to send the military into blue cities.
  12. Link me to information about the organizational structure and planning of those riots. This is like saying the Rodney King and Watts Riots were "pretty well organized." You used the term "riot," and riots typically involve relatively spontaneous violent outbursts. Jan. 6 had organization. The gallows wasn't constructed out of materials just lying around the Capitol grounds, and there were those wedge formations leading the charge into the building. Riots are people going wild and lawless. Sure, Antifa was present, but it couldn't organize a 3-year-old birthday party.
  13. I might be the most liberal person in this forum and certainly believe that Antifa exists, but the MAGA crowd makes it out to be the next al qaeda. It's highly disorganized, has no leader and no structure. But they should be hunted down and arrested for any violence they cause. The far right grossly overexaggerates Antifa's threat as part of its systematic fearmongering to justify actions such as sending our military into major metropolitans area falsely described as war zones. This is how an autocrat plays ball.

What this war zone needs is the unicycle guy dressed as Darth Vader and playing bagpipes with flames shooting out.
  15. That and his boorish behavior regarding how he wanted and deserved it is all the more reason not to give it to him. Now watch him do something vindictive to Norway.
  16. Here we go. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c7842qg15p6o Those deserving of this honor aren't the kind of people who brag about their accomplishments and publicly say they deserve. They also don't whine like spoiled children when they don't get what they want. Depending on how this Israeli peace deal turns out, maybe he should be considered next year.
  17. If nothing else, Trump has managed to make the focus of this year's announcement about him not getting a prize his followers claim is a farce but would be restored to legitimacy if he received it.
  18. Nothing would detarnish a farcical award like handing it to a twice-impeached convicted felon whose idea of peace is sending our military into cities where the protestors dress in inflatable animal outfits and bounce around to sick dance beats.
  19. Does he see the good in anyone other than the nodding heads who move in lockstep with him and tell him what he wants to hear?
  20. Antifa is getting easier to pick out in a crowd, thanks to their inflatable animal costumes.
  21. Then why would Trump on the world stage repeatedly declare that he should receive it?
  22. If the MAGA crowd finds this award to be so devalued, why is there so much whining about Trump not getting it?
  23. Next year they should give it to the president of Antifa.
  24. Greta Thunberg deserves it more than Trump.
