So I guess by your definition the entire 3 years of Trump's economy sucked? 4.9%. Not due to the prior quarters sucking as so you stupidly proposed. A full percent better than anything Trump could produce despite flooding the economy with dollars. Educate yourself friend.

This is exactly right and why blaming Biden for inflation that started skyrocketing less than 3 months into his term is absurd and a stance only taken by the mentally challenged among us.

Ok let's discuss facts. Trump's pre-covid economy never hit 3% GDP for a year or 4% for a quarter. Unemployment was 4.7% and trending down when he stained the office the first year. It came down another 1%. The US/China trade deficit hit all time highs under Trump. The debt pre-covid increased over Obama's last four years. Trump bullied the Fed to keep rates low and flooded the market with money with his tax cuts for the rich. Trump took a fine economy left by Obama and just flooded it with money which caused the inflation we've seen. These are facts. And yet the country's growth was the worst of all time for presidents. Maybe sucked is too strong a word. I'll relable it "fine" but with the stage set for the inflation that the Fed has had to deal with. Facts fellows.

Trump never came close to this kind of GDP growth. Our trade deficit with China hit records under Trump. The Trump economy sucked.

No no, all the conservatives who disect each awesome unemployment and GDP report will tell you that Trump's unemployment and GDP numbers were 100% accurate while Biden's are 100% fake. Trump lovers can't quite get past their feelings and emotions. Not enough testosterone I imagine. For me, I'll accept the governments numbers just like I did during Trump's term. Trump's numbers added up to $8T added to the debt. Millions of jobs losses. And never hitting 3% GDP for a quarter or 4% for a year. Setting the groundwork for record breaking inflation. In other words those horrible four years were a massive fail compared to what we're experiencing now.

Another thread got me thinking about this. Every time I go to HD or Lowes I seen tens of dudes, usually hispanic, just sitting there by the entrance of the parking lot. Waiting for someone to hire them I assume. I have no idea of these guys are legal, have no idea how you decide what to pay them, have never used them before. But they're there in all weather, hot, cold, raining, whatever so clearly people are "hiring" them. I'm not really sure what to think about this but some questions. 1. If they're illegal, does the fact that there are so many who are apparently getting hired regularly (again why sit there for nothing) tell us we have a labor supply issue? I know that in my area contractors are booked solid and often times won't even bother to show up for estimates, etc. They're clearly not hurting for work and are more expensive than ever. 2. Is it good for the economy they're there or bad? 3. Do they pay taxes if they're illegal? 4. Do they have drivers licenses or other government docs? I don't expect folks to know these answers for sure but I think it's really interesting and the fact is that they're sitting there waiting for work. They can't be lazy or sponging off the government, right? Otherwise, why be there? It's an entire world I know little of.

Then how come legitimate contractors are so busy they won't return calls or show up for estimate? They're clearly not hurting. I think these HD fellows are filling a need. Just don't know if it's the best way to do it.
