Just so we're clear and correct me if I'm mistaken, you don't think it's racist that our congress is filled with almost nothing but white men. Far far far outweighing their proportion in our country. And when someone acknowledges this disparity among the group that's supposed to represent all of america by saying they'll nominate someone whose sex and race are far underrepresented, you believe that's racist. interesting point of view you have there.

How anyone can be so slavishly devoted to Trump after Kelly confirmed what we all knew was true to begin with. Trump dodged the draft. He hates our military. He actually has contempt for our military just like he has contempt for his slavish fans. I still don't get why it's bad. If my football team has 3 star WRs and they say we're drafting a RB this year, I don't get mad at them for drafting a RB. The Congress is essentially nothing but old white men. Particularly the R side. It's absolutely missing the viewpoint and life experience of black females. I can see how some think that. But I also think it's ok to recognize that this group is supposed to represent the entire US. Can you imagine the conservative outrage if congress was even close to majority POC? They'd lose their minds. Heck, conservatives don't even want a national popular vote because "the cities would decide everything." But it's perfectly ok to them if white males decide everything.

Why is wrong to appoint a qualified POC if the group they're joining is OVERWHELMINGLY white? And why do you keep assuming she's not the most qualified?
