Best Theisman Comment of the Night

My personal favorite was when he said the atlanta offensive line wasn't built to block 40 times a game. WTF!??

    Any word on Droughns?

Probably one of 2 weeks you can say he has a quality matchup! Is he going to be back? Anyone got the scoop?!?

Michael Robinson - 2 TDs today

Let the craziness begin! 'SHould I start Robinson over Jamal Lewis' 'Should I sell Robinson High?' 'Can I get a Javon Walker level wr for Robinson?'

    Giants utterly overrated

dude, I'm no eagles fan. I live 10 mins from the meadowlands, and an a jets fan, but follow the giants very closely also just because thats where i live. All giants fans are saying the same thing. What the hell is going on with this team...

    Ravens Offense is a joke

They are brutal. Last week was same story. Just a lot of 3 and outs. I invested a lot in Mcnair, considering the weapons he has around him. Granted I got him hella late in the draft, but it also means I didn't take another decent QB. Jamal is not running well either, grabbed him in 3 leagues. With that D, I figured they'd be scoring fairly easily with short fields, so far no good. I hope they gel sometime soon... The potential still exists, solid O line, quality WRs, star TE and a decent running back...

mike martz is as much a genius as steve spurrier is a genius.

    ROY WILLIAMS

have patience. They just need 1 more solid receiver to put that Martz O over the top! Just 1 more, must have 1 more. They're on pace for the Calvin Johnson sweepstakes. Then watch Roy's stock rise rise rise!!!

Wowie wow wow! The Millen/Martz dumb and dumber braintrust must be foaming at the mouth!!!

    ROY WILLIAMS

I'm hearing they're looking to move him to QB, so they can draft brady quinn to be their #1 wr next year...

Is this the week to start LenDale White?

Johnny are you on crack. Freddy vs. Lendale. Drop both and quit fantasy football immediately...

    Steve Smith

Bizarro logic. Even if he starts, he is going to be rusty as all hell. You think he's gonna come back after all this time off, barely able to run till just this week, and light up Tampa. Possible, but highly improbable. I would go as far as to start crotchery over SSmith. I'm hurting in 2 leagues for taking him in the 2nd over a rb, but that doesn't mean I expect anything out of him right now. I wish he wouldn't even play 1 more week, and come back closer to full strength next...
  13. streets is watching! Seriously though, he's just waiting for next year. Millen is really high on this guy, and will probably give a 2nd round pick to himself just for the rights to get him back...

    Just Traded

Willie parker vs. Gore has no bearing to the equation, because what you have to determine is value. Meaning, you could have got something better for FWP, even if he was going to sit on your bench all year. Slight upgrade at TE for giving away a solid starting rb in the NFL is what you did. Not evne a downgrade, brown is basically worthless. Daunte vs. Plummer is a coin toss, and there are about 12 other qbs you can plug in there, including some of the ww that have a chance at similar #s to either of those 2. Definately got robbed, keeper or not...

Fred Taylor will finish in the Top 10

My wording was misleading. My point was that he hasn't played every game of every year the past 10 years, indicating that he still has a bunch left in his tank. When all is said and done, he possibly will be a hall of famer. All depends on his durability from here on in. And to follow up on your point, I have been saying for years his 'fragile' tag has been absolutely misleading. I have owned him in atleast one league every year, as his monster year lead me to a championship I really had no right snatching, if not for freddy...

    Deangelo vs. Maroney

Both guys have starters ahead of them that not only are injury prone, but are the 2nd best back on the team. So which one takes over first, and which one ends the season with better numbers?!?

Someone needs to wake Joe Gibbs up and soon!

Brunnell is a huge part of the problem, but they have other problems as well. Their play calling on both sides is suspect, and the personnel moves are, as usual, at best idiotic. Trading away ramsey for nothing didn't help, not that I believe him to be any kind of an answer. They got no choice to carry on with brunnell till they're out of contention, then go with campbell. This season is over for them...

Fred Taylor will finish in the Top 10

He is # 25 all time in rushing yards, and while he is 30 years old now, he hasn't played 16 games every year for the last 10 years, so he's got a few more left in him. He HAS had a great career, and will end up top 20 all time. Learn your football...

Idiot Roy Williams Wrong - Bears guarantee it

With the 3rd pick in the draft the lions pikc teddy ginn Jr... "Teddy, how do you feel about being drafted by the lions..." "I quit football! I'm gonna go work at the 5 and dime in cleveland." Millen: "Well then, um, we'll take the best wr Michigan state has to offer. Anyone know who that is?!?"

    Manning in the 1st Round

I wrote this in another thread, but I'll regurgitate it here. NFL is all about parity, and as such the NFL players will also be subject to said parity. What I mean by this is most players will fall victim to their team's uprising or demise on a year to year basis. Many that come to mind are(mind you it's very early in the season): Delhomme, caddilac, ronnie brown, list goes on and on and on. That's not even taking into account players that switch teams, and all of a sudden their 90 catches 1200 yard seasons turn to 65 catches 850 yard seasons because the team they're on doesn't throw nearly enough. Even though the skillset is still teh same. So in an ever changing NFL landscape, there are few constants. The top 3 have established themselves as constants, but after that only a few remain. Peyton being the next. As such, I had his ADP at 1.04, regardless of scoring format. Tiki is going to prove to be overvalued at 1.04, and we can see the likes of ronnie brown will not be worth their weight. The flip side is the likes of gore. A whole other side of it is the likes of jamal, and fred taylor, who have proved themselves in the past but you don't know what to expect. To me, they are a better gamble in the 4th and 5th as opposed to gambling on caddilac and ronnie brown in the 1st. Why westy gets undervalued every year also boggles me. Rudi is slowly but surely cementing himself as right behing the top 3. Receivers, you got marvin, holt, and CJ. Steve smith needs to prove himself over atleast another season. That's why I grabbed marvin in 2 leagues over the likes of SS, or chad, or holt. You know what you get from them. Gotta go with the guaranteed money early in the draft, it'll always at the very least keep you afloat. I took manning at 1.05 in a league, only to come back with steve smith because I didn't care for the mcghaees and kevin jones in the 2nd. Well I ended up with chester in the 3rd, droughns in the 4th, and gore in the 5th. Gore alone allows me to operate with not having taken a rb in either of my 1st 2 rounds. Granted I stepped in it with that one, but that is a better gamble than ronnie at 1.05. Or even Sjax. The rb-rb theory is flawed in many ways, but the major flaw is that it is a crapshoot after your top tier backs. If lamont jordan touches 1/2 of his production from last year, people should consider themselves lucky! Go for the guaranteed money early, gamble later. I bet fred taylor outdoes a 1/3 of the 1st round backs, going in the 5th and 6th in most leagues...
  23. I very strongly believe houston effed up by not drafting bush, regardless of what his or mario's careers end up being, but the current record of either team should have nothing to do with that discussion. That's just stupid talk...

    Duckett should be ashamed

He is a half back. And his ypc is not indicitive of his lack of talent, because that ypc is calculated over very limited touches. If he was ever given a full time job which he so greatly craves, he'd be hard pressed to get to 3. He just plain has no vision...
  25. He has to be the worst rb in the league. To use him for anything other than goalline is retarded, and trading for him makes no sense to me. Let me state that I don't own him, nor any portis, nor any of the other washington backs, nor do I have money on the game today. Just making an observation. One play before, looked like the like blocked to the right, leaving a huge cutback lane through which I probably could have gained 12 yards. He, instead, ran right into a pile, gaining his trademark 2 yards. Why is he still a halfback in this league. Even with his ability to gain 2 yards, I would rather use my regular back on teh goallines if I were any team in teh league!
