    Should I trade

I like the deal. Westy is about done and L.White is not that great. Look at your starting line up now: QB: D.Brees (top 3) RB: F.Gore/P.Thomas (not a bad combo as I think P.Thomas will prove to be a very good #2 ff RB) Flex: D.Ward or D.Brown or L.Washington (Very solid flex players to choose from IMO) WR: Ca.Johnson/R.White/M.Colston (Prob the best WR group in you league by far) TE: D.Clark (top 5 TE) This is a very strong and balanced roster. Nice work. If you are really worried about your RB depth package D.Ward/K.Boss for an upgrade. I really think you are ok though.

    Joesph Addai

Yes I think Addai is a great buy low this season. I am not on the Brown coolaid. Last year I remember when everyone jumped all over Mendy and Stewart as taking FWP and DWills job and we know how that turned out. I think it will actually help Addai stay healthy having Brown their. I think Addai still touches the ball 20 plus times a game (13-15 rushes, 3-5 catches) which should put him in the 1,100-1,300 total yds range, 50+ catches and 10 total TDs. Just my thoughts and I know more people are not feeling that. I have scoped him up in a couple of leagues. Of course I also believe B.Edwards/Ochocinco are also great buy low candidates. JMO

Need to keep 4 out of these 5

Hey genius, no worries it looks like it was deleted from the post. Thanks for trying. By the way I did not realize that it was a cap league. For sure drop the Eagles as I am sure S.Moss will be your #3 and for cheap I am sure. That should give you plenty of money to go draft superstars! Nice work

Need help with a keeper league

Since only 4pts/pass TDs and 1pt/25 pass yds I would prob let Brees go. Since there is no ppr I would prob not keep CJ. Eventhough AJ is a WR and no ppr he is still a top 3 WR you must keep him. Then I would keep Turner and Gore. They both enter the season as top 7 RBs. The big reason to keep these guys is they prob have huge trade value for you post draft. This gives you a lot of freedom in rounds 4-6 to grab a top QB and a couple of WRs or back up RBs. Hope this helps. Please see mine. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=344519

Need to keep 4 out of these 5

Swap the Eagles and S.Moss. He is still a #1 WR. This year when he starts hot package him with a RB to get an upgrade at one of the positions. see mine http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=344519

    Tony Romo

First of all anyone with $150 and a certified handicap of 1 or less can enter the US Open qualifying. Second, qualifying rounds for this event are only multiple days if you advance to the second stage. The fact is that he tried to qualify at Dallas National which is a course he plays often (I believe he is actually a member there) throught the offseason thus he did not take a ton of time to prepare. He prob treated this qualifying much like the other rounds he plays with his buddies. He certainly was not neglecting any football duties to prepare for it. As far as the sports psych, he/she would prob tell him that hobbies are a good thing and that he is trying to hard b/c of what has happened. If you have ever been to a sports psych you would know one of the big things is quality time away from the profession (whatever it is). All professional atheletes have hobbies and the fact that a big deal is being made of this is crazy. Now his issues in the offseason, his relationship with his WRs, etc. are things we should be talking about not his hobbies during the offseason.

My keeper, please share your opinion.

In my opinion your keepers out of this bunch are actually quite simple and in this order in my opinion: 1.Rivers 2.White 3.J.Stewart 4.E.Royal I would release Moore and Carlson back to the pot. This gives you a top QB, a true #1WR, a true #2 WR, an excellent young RB that can serve as a very solid #3RB. Then use your first two round picks to grab a couple of RBs. Just some thought for you. I must first say always keep the best four players regardless of position based on value. That being said in a keep 4 format with all TDs worth 6pts a top QB is a must. Then I would say my next target would be a true #1RB, 3rd target is a true #1 WR. The fourth keeper can either be a #2RB or a #2 WR so take the best player/value of the two. If it is a TE requried league and you had Gates or Whitten I would say keep them but as a rule of thumb never keep a TE. Just keep that in mind during the year and try to make some trades to give you 4 top notch keepers. Hope this helps and good luck this should give you a very good core to build around.

Thanks madd and I forsure would have jumeped all over Portis/2010 1st for my Marshall. As far as Marshall's value and Edwards. A lot of people are really down on Edwards after last season and still have Marshall ranked very high. Since Marshall was the WR he wanted to trade for makes me think he still values him very high. Not to mention I am not in a position where I have to make any trade to have a chance this season or in the future. I guess we will see what the other owner counters for.

Keeper League - Whom do I keep!?!?!

I a keeper league with these players I think you have to keep Ca.Johnson he is your best current and long-term player. So then you get down to deciding if R.Brown/Colston are worth your first two picks. It is prob pretty close and since you finished 1oth I assume you have the 3rd pick depending on who is kept. If everyone keeps at least two players but you then you will have the first pick in the first round and you can grab the best RB available. At that point if you still think R.Brown is the best you can grab him. Worst case the two teams ahead of you don't keep 2 players and they pick before you. Then since you dropped R.Brown that means you at least get R.Brown/Moreno/Wells. I still think you can grab Colston in the next round, but it is a gamble. If this were my team I would keep Ca.Jounson/R.Brown/M.Colston and feel very good about my keepers. If you can trade players prior to the draft then I might try to package. I am a huge fan of P.Thomas so if you could package R.Brown/Colston for a top RB (F.Gore/MJD) type then I would do it. Then keep CJ/the RB you traded for/P.Thomas. Hope this helps.

Hey Skibum I agree and I am not the one targeting Portis the owner wants to move him. He does have a lot of wear and tear for sure but he is only 27 so even if I get two more years out of him the chance he could help me win a title are prob better than Marshall. I have a ton of young RB depth so once the season starts I could possibly trade one or two of them for a solid up and coming WR. Then I would have Portis and a solid #3 WR. Not to mention with all the trouble that Marshall has been in and now the problems with the organization do make me a bit nervous in his decision making for the long-term. I have sent an offer of B.Marshall/2010 2nd rdr for Portis/B.Edwards.

Well he has already traded his 1st rd which I am sure why he wants to move Portis and try and get a 1st rd pick with it. I may counter with Marshall for Portis/WR.

Thanks for the reply and I think I agree with you. Not to mention B.Marshall's value is pretty low right now, but he does come with a lot of risk. I mean if he can stay out of trouble, thats a big if, he can be a top WR for 5-7 more years, where Portis may have 2-3 good years left.

    Dynasty Trade Help

Ten team dyansty league. No ppr, all TDs 6pts, all other scoring is standard. We start 1QB/2RB/3WR/1Flex(RB,WR,TE)/1K. My roster: QB T.Romo/K.Warner/J.Delhomme/M.Leinart/J.Freeman RB M.Turner/MJD/J.Addai/F.Jackson/A.Bradshaw/B.Jackson/B.Green-Ellis/D.Brown®/R.Jennings®/D.Moore®/B.Scott® WR AJ/Ca.Johnson/B.Marshall/TJ Housh/K.Walter K R.Longwell I have been offered C.Portis for B.Marshall/2010 1st rd pick. Is this a good offer? Does it leave me to thin at WR and am I getting good value for Marshall or should I just stand pat. Leave me a link and I will respond to your post.

Ten team league, non ppr, all TDs 6pts, and all other scoring is standard. We start 1QB/2RB/3WR/1Flex/1K. My current roster: QB T.Romo/K.Warner/J.Delhomme/J.Freeman® RB M.Turner/MJD/J.Addai/F.Jackson/A.Bradshaw/B.Jackson/B.Green-Ellis/D.Brown®/R.Jennings®/S.Bernard®/D.Moore® WR AJ/Ca.Johnson/B.Marshall/TJ Housh/K.Walter K M.Bryant One of the teams in our league has 4 first rd picks next year and wants Turner. He has T.Jones and Fred Taylor. Two of the first rd picks are going to be early b/c the teams the picks came from are not very good. Would T.Jones/F.Taylor/2 first rd picks be worth Turner. T.Jones and Taylor could help me this season then I would have 3 first rd picks next year to continue to add young talent? I also need one more WR. Could I package Warner/Leinart/TJ to grab an upgrade at WR and a young QB for the future? Any thoughts?

    Drafting Software

Is there a software/website that allows you to put in all you league info including keepers, scoring formats, draft positions, ect. then calculate, based on team needs and number of draft picks, some different draft scenarios?

    Dynasty Trade Help

All good points I just want to make sure I don't get so wrapped up in now and have to pay in a few years. Thanks for the input and I think I will just enjoy this year. I think all the talk about how tough Turner's schedule is has me worried.

Need help with a keeper league

All depends on the scoring format and how many teams and how many at each position you start.
  22. WoodDuck2003

    Keep 2

If its a ppr Brees/Wayne. If no ppr Brees and either LT or Slaton. In a ppr it is hard to pass on Wayne as he is a top 5 WR. The RBs you have are not top 5 so there are several you could get in that same tier. Brees is a top 3 QB and I bet the other two are also being kept and Wayne is a top 5-7 WR and I bet the WRs in his tier are also being kept. This gives you a true #1QB and #1WR to build the rest of your team around. If you can trade and the owner of a top RB is lacking you might offer Slaton/Wayne for AP, Gore, MJD, type RB. Then keep Brees/and the RB you traded for. Hope this helps.

    Dynasty Trade Help

Well you bring up some good points but Turner's value will never be higher and if I could get a couple of RBs that could still help me win the title this year (T.Jones/F.Taylor to go with MJD/Addai/Brown) and have three first rd picks next year (two of which will be high and possibly the #1 overall). Not sure it is worth it but certainly a possibility. Not very likely that he will repeat last years stats with the tough schedule. Like I said not sure he would even give up all of that for Turner but worth looking into.

    Dynasty Trade Help

Thanks for the input and I am sure that will be the consensus. As for Addai I have D.Brown so not too concerned about that.
  25. WoodDuck2003

If you could trade this and get this would you do it?

No way do you do this trade. You are giving up a top 3 dynasty QB, the top dynasty TE, Mannings #2 target, a great prospsect in Maclin and Hightower for Portis (prob only has one or maybe 2 good seasons left), Williams is great, Choice is the 3rd guy, and Bennett has way too many questions. Stick with what you have. I would look to move Ryan to upgrade at RB or WR. Ryan/R.Jennings to the MJD owner might land you something? Ryan/Maclin might land you B.Edwards+ Just a couple of ideas. I would say that Brady/Gates/Gonzalez, other than those I would try and make some trades to upgrade where you need it. Hope this helps but that is not a good trade for you imo!
