Actually, the Pats lost their last 2 games of the 2023 season w Belichick as HC. Carolina was getting the #1, which went to da Bears. Pats might have lost the #2 pick by winning their 3rd to last game. Everyone was pissed when the Pats won their last game of the 2024 season w Mayo as HC. That cost them the #1 pick, and fell to 4, just out of what people thought was the money players and tradeability.
