AOC says Texas turning blue is inevitable during campaign stop
RLLD replied to Utilit99's topic in The Geek Club
I felt compelled to refer back to this conversation. As I stated back then, hispanics will lean right after they get entrenched.....this entire strategy of Democrats thinking they can stack the deck with these people is going to fail, and it just bit them..... -
I’m willing to question the media now.

I remember how hard people fought back against the truth, for months......and now all the sudden.....want to blame the guy they stupidly protected...... -
Yeah, I do not get what I am being accused of here, maybe you have a point and maybe you dont.....or maybe you are just parodying MDC.... Either way, speak up....say it.....for gods sake....
-
Dont get me wrong, I am happy that its going in the right direction. Now, going back to my original point and statement. Unwinding this is not going to be easy, its going to be hard. The Fed is going to be challenged to manage this, and historically I am NOT a fan of the Fed, but I give them credit.....over the last couple of years their work to fight inflation has been pretty good.....notably given what the Biden administration did to foment inflation at these astronomic levels. I am sure folks at the Fed are bracing for what is coming. Trump will heat up the economy and the folks at the Fed are going to have to walk a very thin line.

I dont follow

I know.....I know.......they are harming people less and less.......but still harming.... Moreover, drops with inflation do not mean relief......prices stay high, the impacts of inflation do not simply abate in lock step with its lowering......thats not how this all works....the markets have to wring it out of the system, and that takes time.....and given the gravity of what was done over these last four years it will take considerable time to wring it out..... THAT is why its such a beast.....it does not simply "go away"....
-
I think that is a stretch in terms of interpretation. Inflation is a beast....and absolutely monster.....and fighting it is hard and can take years, sometimes decades..... allowing it to manifest is just horrible.....its like letting cancer grow without treatment. So yeah, fighting it off is going to be hard....the Fed has the biggest job here. Trump will foment growth and the Fed is going to have to fight like hell to control inflation as economic improvements become abundant under Trump. One of my complaints with Trump was when he complained about the Fed response to his prior economic growth....he has to let them be.....
-
Well, I think it depends. All politicians are interested in power.....so term limits in general are a threat to them.....and they will all resist it to the extent it might threaten their power..... I so think there are a subset of politicians who DO want term limits, but most of them do not..... Voter ID....if you object to voter ID then....IMHO.....you are interested in cheating during an election. In our society today, almost anything you want to do requires some form of ID....and we know in places where ID laws have been implemented voting is strong and often stronger than before....so yeah, people who oppose ID are telling us who they are....

There is no reason to believe the economy will get worse, and every reason to believe it will improve. I get some sense that people think the mere presence of Trump is somehow a "fix" and I think people need to recognize how hard it will be to fix this problem. I disdain when people point to some univariate factor as a suggestion the something as complex as the national economy is doing well; especially when people have been suffering....so I might as folks to show some restraint and not latch on to the shiny object. Now, that being said we already know Trumps policies work because they already worked once, hence people voting him in and Democrats out. I look forward to see him implement some simple things from the jump. Whereas Biden stupidly announced his intent to go after the energy sector out of the gate Trump will do the opposite and that has teeth. It takes anywhere from 90 to 120 days for the markets to respond to this in a way the manifests in prices....not just for gas, but across the board....immediate relief is what people will get, and thank god for that....

Trump talk only- no Eagles talk allowed (Steelers talk is OK though)
RLLD replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
I think this assertion is likely true. -
I am going to presume, for the moment, that you are being a honest participant...... I am interested in this topic, and I DO think term limits in some form has merit. I DO NOT think expanding the court because its not doing what you want it to politically is an acceptable course of action.

Rink Gaslighting the voters was a bad idea....pretending they were not suffering was a bad idea.....telling them the economy is "great" just p!ssed them off.... I just wanted to thank Liberals, for refusing to accept reality.....without you, Trump may not have been this successful......
-
I think it might be tough to find conservative thinkers willing to work for the wages at some of these media outlets.....not impossible, but challenging It could cause conflict. Those on the left have been indoctrinated to never accept alternative ideas, so getting in a room and debating is not something they will do....
-
And when none of that happens we will get an apology, they will admit they had it all wrong...... of course not....

The indoctrination does not explain the propaganda, and questioning it is of course not allowed.... -
I may have to create a new Liberal Doctrine model. The old one likely wont work anymore. Not sure just how it might line up, but I surmise that step one will likely be correlating anything.....just anything Trump or his team does.....to "being a dictator". SO, with that in mind I think we sit back and wait for the "full retahds" to start spinning stuff into that designation.....

Dems rage against Biden’s ‘arrogance’ after Harris loss So, for all those months when people were calling out this doddering old fool for the problem he was.....and the Dems and their media puppets worked feverishly to defend him......where were all THESE PEOPLE? Where was the vociferous outcry then? Yeah, as usual liberals only live in the moment, and do not consider the longer term consequences....

Impeachment maybe. And I surmise that the lawfare is perhaps now off of the table. But that likely means they simply get more extreme..... I would not presume that they will continue with these repugnant behaviors....they are a "by any means necessary" kind of group.... -

RLLD replied to jonmx's topic in The Geek Club
The pass to which you refer is the eventual dismissal of the lies by everyone. From Russian Collusion hoax to very fine people hoax to bloodbath hoax to lawfare hoaxes.....eventually the truth is allowed to be known, the media ends the lying, though politicians continue it.... The problem being that the original lie has staying power. People move forward with their perceptions permanently altered by that lie, even when the media et al later relents and speaks the truth. This seems to be by design. And then we end up with a swath of people so indoctrinated by the lies, they cannot accept the truth later.... -

RLLD replied to jonmx's topic in The Geek Club
Of course if you feel it was all warranted then you have to stand by that. But on the other side of this there are plenty who can look at it and see if for the abuse it was. The important element here is that when a system is abused it can lead to unexpected and perhaps bad outcomes, and so here we are. I fully expect Democrats to at least attempt to continue these abuses where possible, but I think Trump is more read for their underhanded behaviors this time. It wont be so easy to make sh!t up anymore. -

Don't sweat it Recognizing the problem is a really important first step. Its an important start. Gradually, and later, you can over time wean yourself away from the tabloid-type of outlet that is MSNBC. Dont think you have to do it all at once. Moreover, I can foresee MSNBC going away, at least from its current context...it will be sold off, perhaps rebranded and become an even more radical outlet, which can perhaps ease the break -
Can anyone use AI or something to change that speech into Cartmans voice?

When the Democrats stepped outside of moral behaviors, when they allowed themselves the latitude to abuse the impeachment process to abuse the legal system.......their malignment resulted in a commensurate response. I say this, because this is not the first example of them doing this.....the abuse of systems will typically have a later consequence......no matter how good it feels today.
