  1. I think those already leaning in toward conservatism did this, no doubt. But this time around Trump had a pretty diverse set of folks voting for him. I submit this is true because he found the thing that unify them which were not things like race or gender. Democrats are the real racists and misogynists.....consider how Obama spoke to and about "the brothers".....and the range of others who think.......black people think a certain way.....based on skin color....or, women vote a certain way.....based on genitalia..... these are more than just failed thoughts....they are evil thoughts.....
  2. No, they are not.....and THAT is what you .....well, more pointedly....Democrats....need to learn. Also, is it really fair to hand a candidate the helm with what.....100 days to the election? And ask them to be successful? I think not.....
  3. And.....if the roles were reversed.....and Trump did this.....want to venture what the Democrats and media would be saying about HIM?
  4. All good. In a certain sense I know that you are correct, and there is some % of people out there who vote based on these non-relevant factors. It reminds me of that time when Biden said he was going to only place a black female on Scotus......apparently he shares your logic, though he implements it slightly differently....
  5. I say give the guy some space, had this election gone the other way, I think some folks on the other side would be equally as distraught.
  6. I note the absence of any information from the Harris campaign. I infer they are actively reviewing their options in terms of how to best challenge this outcome.......
  7. You make some good points. I think the nation is going to benefit from Trump being back in office. I hope that is true. I have some expectations for his policy pursuits and I hope he steps up. That being said, we have to also consider the depth and breadth of the harm caused by the Biden administration and their legislative allies.....they focked people over pretty hard. It will not be easy to fix
  8. There is nothing wrong with a female leader. It is the very principle you are espousing here that Democrats need to stop. Instead of considering people as people, they consider them based on these characteristics. This is the major failure of Democrats in this recent election. They saw Black....hispanic.....latino.....whatever.....instead of "middle class". Until Democrats can stop categorizing people by their irrelevant characteristics someone like Trump can easily step in and defeat them. How did Trump coalesce all these disparate groups in the way he did.....because he spoke in terms of middle class, lower class and economic freedoms and desires.... and if you are a latino or black or white or asian or any other completely irrelevant thing......you still care about the same simple things......being able to live well and set the table for your kids to do even better.....Trump understood this. He spoke to ALL OF THEM......by speaking to things that unify them. SO......go ahead.....pretend its "because she is a woman" if you prefer, and to be fair there is likely some of that in play......but its smaller than we should care about...... If you decide to hold on to that, you are just destined to repeat the same mistake.
  9. I have no issue with doing this over and over. The people who attempted to use fear to secure power need to be highlighted over and over and over......the people need to see these vile creatures for what they are.
  10. I disagree. had their candidate been fit for the job, i any way capable of speaking honestly about her policy prescriptions instead of vilifying her opponent, she certainly could have won......but she was a p!ss poor candidate.
  11. This is an opportunity. Democrats can use this outcome to really look inward and force a push away from the far left and more toward the center. They have 4 years to really make change that would allow them to restore the perception of people that they are not simply devotes to fringe radical interests. It is entirely doable. But it has to start with an admission that they have been wrong in how they conducted themselves, and that will be not merely challenging, but painful for them.

Sadly, no one will ever come back to those unabashed liars and hold them to account for such obviously false and manipulative messaging.
  13. I hope there is some effort applied to really understand what transpired in this election. I have a thought that people were potentially not voting FOR Trump so much as AGAINST Harris(Biden). I think the Democrats refusal to allow her to define the distinctions between her and Joe sunk them. People were voting FOR an end to the worst economic situation of their lifetime, and not FOR the candidate in reality
  14. Correct. I might advise folks to get it out of your system, and just move on quickly. Resist the urge to spike on folks, no matter how insufferable they have been and richly deserve it
  15. Yes. And lets wait and see. I have some expectation for common sense and practical actions to fix some immediate and then also interim problems. I want to see proper actions taken.

    2024 Election

Yes, all those who lathered themselves up that the mean orange man would compel them to leave, can absolutely focking leave....
  17. What is perhaps lost in all of this is that many of the latinos who were already here, and were legitimately able to vote....came here in part to escape the people they have been letting in......so if you are a latino who looks at the Democrats trying to turn your community into the sh!thole you escaped....you might tend to vote Republican....
  18. And that makes sense right? I think most women are not in the market for an abortion and are not really all that worried about it. I think most women see access to abortion as important though, and will lean into that. Still, you have to rank these things, and if abortion is #4 or #5 on your list.....you might not vote according to that issue.

Agree. Hence my support for abortion, as noted many times over. I see the act as a societal "good".
  20. I think we can point to the importance of abortion to a large extent. And then past that you might find that people are immovable on their politics. No matter what you show them they will insist their original position remains the proper one. I think people struggle to admit they were wrong, across our society. In part the problem arises that the hysteria they create is tough to unwind. Once you label a group of people as evil and fascist....how do you draw back down from that? Liberals view anything outside of their bubble as evil, that is a stark line to draw.....do you dare flirt with that line? Do you dare moderate at all? How can you moderate toward something you have defined as the worse evil in the world? Liberalism is more cult that political movement.
  21. I hope someone takes every single lie trotted out by the Democrats and their puppets in the media and asks aloud periodically....."well, any update on this hysterical prognostication???" That would be fantastic. There should also be a hierarchy to it. The opportunity here is that we can show the people just how manipulative and dishonest these folks have been, so they can start to ignore them more and more.

    Very fine people

I have to agree with this. In every election I think we can find instances where one or both sides did this. It really needs to stop. We can disagree on policy prescriptions without assigning intent or reason to the person.
  23. I think many do, not sure if its most or "alot"..... I think politicians are skilled manipulators, backed by a cadre of practiced used car salesmen..... I think they gauge what people are afraid of, and play into that fear to the fullest possible extent. What we miss....no longer have....... is a media that calls them out on it.

Its a conundrum. I think the process is expensive and long, but then again anything the government runs will have those two factors in abundance. I wish that process were better and people could more easily use it; though we simply MUST vet out the "bad" people who might do it for the wrong reasons or are otherwise unfit. I think abortion should be accessible to all women. I do not want to pay for it, or help them pay for it. Anyone who does not have the money to pay for a pack of condoms and decides to use abortion as their birth control can pay for their own way......period. But I want women to have access to it, with reasonable restraints.
