I thought she did better than I would have expected. I think her moves to deny the interviewer a follow up question was a good tactic. She was clearly ready for battle but at the same time tempered her anger rather well. It wasn't perfect. He asked the right questions and she deflected properly perhaps half the time. Sometimes she deflected poorly. I can see why those on the right might view it as a big loss for her, but I am not so sure it was. Bottom line, aside from the COVID situation her and Biden were handed a really great situation which they proceeded to ruin. They ruined economic progress for the least among us, the ruined the border, they ruined our foreign policy and generally just made a complete focking mess. Defending against that is not easy.

There has been a steady drum beat of government "numbers" being "revised" later...... that should been seen for what it is. First and foremost, the DOJ has strayed from its mission and now serves a political party instead of the people. Trusting any component of government is of course foolisj, but given the actions of the DOJ over the years....we should recognize that they are now a significant problem. Crime down? Unlikely. We have added swarms of criminals from other nations, and too many localities now permit crime as if it should just be allowed because people should be able to if they want.... Sadly, it has to get really bad before Democrats will stop the madness. It has to first harm many people before they will back down.

Trump is honest to a fault, its his main weakness. He constantly says things without the requisite caution that a politician should have, conversely Harris lies incessantly, lies of omission mostly. She is cautious to a fault. I am sure Trump lies, though his lies are often meaningless..... He often uses sarcasm a little recklessly, not realizing his political opponents will leverage it against him, as if he is actually saying things literally. Media, all of it, lies ruthlessly to serve their respective political alignments. This is a different problem. The media is supposed to be serving us....you and I....the people.....instead they serve a political wing. So yeah, my expectation for the media is different than my expectations for political players.

I think you are doing it the right way. I may disagree with you on reasoning, but I think you simply have to vote for your reasons and no one elses.

We trust those who can deliver outcomes that benefit us. But all these election activities should be taken with a grain of salt. So for this cycle we have a candidate in Trump who delivered a solid economy, solid foreign policy, worked tirelessly against Democrats to do everything he could to protect our borders....these are things that benefit us.....conversely in his opponent we have someone who participated in the abject failure in all those areas....and told us she would not change a thing.....

All media. Whether they are proposing it is true or proposing it is false. The media cannot be trusted any longer.

I don't know if its true. I could go either way honestly. But it is common practice for media to protect Democrats, so for now I will wait and see what happens later. Typically the media lies eventually give way to some truth, but it could take some time.

We are already aware that this has all the earmarks of a Russian disinformation maneuver. We can come back to this topic later of course. Often, we seem to learn much more about these things later.

I figured out the defining characteristic that makes someone a lifelong liberal

“What frustrates me, there are going to be some males in our society that will refuse to vote for a potential female president because they don’t think females are smart enough to be president.” He continued, “We could line all those guys up and shoot them. They clearly don’t understand the way the world works.” The professor then attempted to retract his statement, saying, “Did I say that? Scratch that from the recordings. I don’t want the deans hearing that I said that.” This liberal was teaching kids........ -

If you were to instead use the word "crude" or maybe even "crass" then I would get it. But this pretending that he is mean, well, I mean.....nah....I cannot get behind that....again, mean people are something completely different. -

In order to stay philosophically honest I actually cannot blame Trump for the actions of those people, since in other instances with other politicians and people I have agreed to that stance in principle. So to reverse that course here and now means I would be philosophically dishonest. -

I find his policies to my satisfaction, more importantly I find the outcomes from his policies to be deeply satisfying -

And that is a fair point. You as an individual can and should have a prioritization for factors that are important for you as a citizen and voter. I have my own priorities. And the media/Democrat portrayal of their ideological opponents does not have a place in my prioritization. I expect both sides of the isle to portray each other as vile, as they have done in various ways for decades. I simply choose to not be manipulated by such things, and focus on outcomes.....having a really nice or less mean person who focks everything up does not add value for me.... -

So when you say blame for.....you are speaking pointedly to the events around January 6th? If you cannot answer then that means you are not being an honest participant here. -

So what.....time to toughen up. I will take the name caller who delivers good outcomes over the fake one who only hurts us. We have to stop accepting these narratives from the media and politicians about the qualities of people, they only hurl those stones to protect their power......they point to these meaningless factors because they cannot stand on policy. -

Welcome to the world my friend. You cant throw a stone without hitting someone who does this. So then we are left with a choice. Do we vote for someone "nice" who's policies ruin everything and make the world worse, or do we vote for the "meaner" who delivers outcomes that benefit us. I will take the meaner....... -

Likely not, certainly Joe Biden would give him a run for his money on that front, as would the agencies and media that protected Biden for those many months.....but in general, politicians lie....pretending Trump is worse, or the worst, is farcical. You disagree with him politically, so you perceive HIS lies as being worse or different....but they arent. -
