They wanted pieced of Ukraine, and were happy to take those pieces they felt should be theirs, and were ready to call it a day. By arming Ukraine, we are extending the entire thing, costing more lives and really tempting the Russians to just take the entire thing now. They waited for Biden to do this, due to uncertainty about Trump and how we would react, they feared him.
-
All good. I am planning a stay in Turkey later this year for work, while there I have occasion to cross paths with some Georgians and others in the area who dislike the Russians quite a bit; they are a wealth of information as it pertains to Russian activities, I should learn more.
-
They dont care about that...... you are misreading the situation. They already have what they want...... The problem will be that Trump will hurt the money train for them, and they have a big problem with that.... so they absolutely do not want him back in there to foul things up for them again.
-
The Russians hate Trump, they want no part of him being President. Whether he says nice things about them or not does not matter to them. For the Russians its always about what they can get, and they dont just work for the immediate need, they always.....always....follow the long term plan. If they cannot explain how their action feeds the plan, then they have a problem. No on really cares if they steal or sell drugs or whatever, no one cares, but if that move does not serve the Party's plan, well, they probably get killed off.....and dont get me wrong, the Ukrainians are just as bad, maybe worse.... So no, Russian has no interest in Trump as President.
-
Why do they want him in office, they hated him for countering their interests around the globe. In my dealings with associates abroad, it was well known that Russia pointedly does not want Trump in office

has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation

The media has been manipulative partisans for too long. My credibility remains intact, since they now have to face up to that fact. And are starting to. I love it in some small part because their smug and smarmy little b!tch asses get taken down a notch, and in part because it might force some return to journalistic integrity.
-
Yeah, it is a good sign if I think about it. Its a sad statement on the media of course. But if we can go back to something a little more journalistic, that would be so much better. Though, as you have noted, there is no ratings in that.
-
Oh I see what you mean, I think the gunman likely had a scheme that involved bringing a weapon to harm a SCOTUS judge, so yeah, I think we could perhaps also say a plan or even perhaps a design, regardless of the words, I think the gunman likely did not just throw it in the car and head over there with no forethought. You example of Giffords then is also too a good one.

I am hopeful, but only to a limited extent. We are asking the media and politicians to change their behaviors, stuff they have been developing all their life, and this would then be a true paradigm shift....I wish I could believe they could do it. Hell, MSNBC was so afraid of their own vitriol that they took down their morning show....I mean, thats not great.
-
That's fine, I am simply highlighting that we already has a warning that we missed. I am not sure that this assassination's attempt was a warning so much as a wake up call.
-
I concur, the kid had issues, but we missed how rhetoric may have fed into those issues....all of us did. We did not appreciate the impact of feeding the youth, notably those with emotional/mental issues, this steady diet of "hitler" and "fascist" and "threat to our freedom" etc. Not scheming, I think you are wrong, there is no scheming to this, its simply bad behaviors
-
Not exactly, though I get why you might suggest that. I think the issue, where the media and Democrats were so keen to castigate the SCOTUS.....and then we had this clear threat to them....should have been the point at which everyone scaled back the rhetoric. It was a warning that we all missed.
-
I just told you....you are.....I mean, WTF, can you not read now?
-
Yeah, but I can no presume you are being normal....you never bring anything other than snide comments, we dont even know if you have actual thoughts, you spend so much time just lobbing middle school insults. You bring no value, why would I think you were trying to add value now?
-
Really, crying about quotes, I intended to delete them, you really are just a little crybaby, you realize that right?
-
I think we need a special counsel...maybe there is a DA in Gary Indiana who can raise this to a felony?
-
Well, to be fair.....the media also has been so reprehensible to SCOTUS that gunman were schemeing to take one of them out as well So the media has been ready to setup the take down of others, aside from Trump, it would seem

Great idea.

Not sure how much I trust polling tbh I think polling has become a little too valued. JMHO -
Oh, well that is fine. I mean, sure he probably is a POS.....and maybe an even bigger POS than Biden is....not that it matters of course.
