I might suggest that there is likely far worse being said and thought out there.
-
Except that I do not think its only one side, noting this element on more than one occasion. It would seem that not excluding those you might support from the equation is not to your liking. Your stance, your logic, from January 6th that "an adult could have looked at January 6th in that moment and said "C'mon man" can be extended to the situation regarding Biden selling us out for money that funneled to his family through the LLC's. I am not sure you want to invest in that philosophy in that manner. Perhaps reconsider that stance, or soften it. I might note that if liberals actually believe that words are violence and rhetoric could lead to violence.....all along....they would have never engaged in it.
-
I wonder, do you understand how immature you come across?
-
You never stop learning, as self-learners, we must first admit to our ignorance and realize that there is a world of knowledge ready to be accessed, but only once we can accept that we don't already know everything. A big reason why liberals struggle so mightily is their refusal to accept that they can be wrong.
-
I expand my statements since you seem to be missing the point, its a natural reaction to what appears to be a lack of comprehension on your part. I think there is merit to your position on rhetoric and January 6th, I am amending my position based on what I have observed here; liberals weaponizing rhetoric(which they pretending to abhor regarding Jan 6th) which resulting in violence. I am conceding this point. Liberals have shown us what they said they feared. I am hopeful that both sides of the isle now take a step back, calm down a bit, stop attacking each other personally and get back to policy debate.

You make my point for me Learning and growing is anathema for liberals.
-
Red Herring is your first move.

No, adults consider the world and adjust their position accordingly. That you find this "progress" instead of simply "gown up" highlights what I see from liberals all the time, anything that challenges what they believe is labelled "evil" or "conspiracy". Hell, they cant even take the fact that their actions likely led to this, and have been on the air these last days spinning hard as hell to point it back to Trump! MSNBC was so worried that their propogandists could not handle it, they shut down Morning Joe..... So now we have "evidence" that political rhetoric can result in violence, and the political animals are changing their game right now to address this.
-
Not progress. It called being an adult, when new information arises that might contest your position, you need to reconsider your position. I understand this is not something liberals understand, but this is how adults behave. I think had Trump posted that pic of Biden I might consider it differently, but I sorta still see it as funny. How, had that pic been of like....beheading Biden I probably would have an issue with it.
-
I think this recent event suggests that could be true. I have no problem with Trump liking a post about Biden tied up on a tailgate.

Trump talk only- no Eagles talk allowed (Steelers talk is OK though)

This is true. There is still time. This incident with the shooting has really kinda screwed the Democrats six-ways to Sunday though. All these years they have insisted that language can be violence, Trumps rhetoric is violence etc....well, looks like they got their "proof".....but unfortunately, it was THEIR rhetoric which resulted in violence. That they pulled all their campaign stuff from TV etc shows they know it. This was their main weapon, now all they have is abortion.....this event has severely hampered their prospects IMHO -
Oh no, you see the liberal wet dream came true today.....so now, since we have an example, we have to assume rhetoric is a factor, right? Or.....is it only "true" if you can point to something...elsewhere?
-
Liberals have assured us that words are violence, that Trumps "rehetoric" results in violence, so yeah.....for liberals to step up now and laugh about it, they can absolutely go fock themselves
-
Yeah, I noticed that move. Not buying that this was some "Republican". I also noticed the move to reroute the narrative back to Jan6th as well, among some of our liberal puppets in the media....thats not going to work either...unless the intent is to p!ss of even more conservatives.
-
I recall....that "rhetoric" was a key weapon in their arsenal. They used the notion of "rhetoric" as a big reason to vilify Trump the person. So, if it arises that someone on the left now wants to object to "rhetoric", yeah, they can absolutely go fock themselves.
-
I am not convinced the Democrat Party was not involved with this action.
-
I am not sure if this was a plot or not. Perhaps it was just total failure of the Secret Service, or perhaps it wasn't.
-
Interesting.....what is the "right thing"?
-
Hey, remember when the Washington Post was so concerned about rhetoric and violence? Well, apparently they have changed their tune All the sudden, all those tactics.....no longer the same?
-
President Donald Trump has repeatedly distanced himself from acts of violence in communities across America, dismissing critics who point to his rhetoric as a potential source of inspiration or comfort for anyone acting on even long-held beliefs of bigotry and hate. Oh.....now its....low character. No issue before though eh? Back then, hell, it was all just good fun. Now that its coming back....its a "real shame" and all.
-
This event will be a huge impediment for the Democrats. Their entire platform was predicated on rhetoric to portray Trump as some existential threat to Democracy. Now the Trump folks can attribute all that to this event. So the main weapon they were using is being negated. They cannot talk about better policies or outcomes, now they cannot vilify their opponent. This is a tough one for them moving forward.
-
We were here.....the day Democrats decided rhetoric was no longer dangerous....
-
Well, they might. If he was trying to confirm whether or not the person was one of them….
-
Can’t put the genie back in the box. Spend years pretending words are violence? Countless articles and speeches from Democrats talking about Trump’s rhetoric being dangerous? Then spew a bunch of rhetoric about Trump being Hitler or threat to democracy or anyone of the other bullshit nonsense and then this happens All that weaponization coming from the left now gets turned back on them, have fun with it

https://www.cnn.com/2024/03/31/politics/trump-dangerous-rhetoric-analysis/index.html I wonder, does cnn see today how the liberal “rhetoric” is dangerous?
