Note that they do not speak to policy.....they speak only about the person...which to be fair is rather normal for a liberal....their ideas are mostly indefensible so that have to attack their ideological opponents personally....to denigrate them as a person, since their ideas are usually better. The problem becomes....what happens when people no longer buy it....how far do they go to vilify and/or take down their political opponent? Will the DOJ step in, 3rd world-style, and move to maybe incarcerate him to prevent his candidacy? I submit that they will likely stop at nothing to impede him......if elected he WILL expose them all.....and all their misdeeds.....

I think they proposed the debate thinking Trump might fuss about it, and they could use this to pretend he was "afraid" and when Trump said "lets go" and let them make any rule they wanted....I am confident at that moment they knew they were screwed..... they did their best to prop him up, to hide what most of us clearly saw for months....and could not overcome his issues... Your point makes sense. Get the debate in early, if he nails it....great.... if not...there is enough time to find some other puppet to trot out.....
