Not acceptable behavior for a presidential candidate
RLLD replied to IGotWorms's topic in The Geek Club
Associating someone with Hillary Clinton is where I draw the line, Haley has done nothing to justify such a vile act such as this......Trump needs to stand down now, and STFU..... -

It doesn't, nor do the BLM riots that inspired it. But if this is your justification, I accept it, and with it your clear intent...... -

The zeal with which those who "defend democracy" are willing to sacrifice it....is remarkable.... -

I submit they are already positioning for it. When Maddow refuses to report on Trump as a candidate, this is not happening in a vacuum. MSM is not out there doing things independently. This move on the part of MSNBC was certainly at the direction of the white house and is part of the setup later when Biden asserts he will not debate such a man etc... They are no longer even trying to be sneaky, they are just doing it right in our faces...they really think we are just completely stupid -

We now understand that Democracy is that which Rachel Maddow filters to us to think it is.... -
I am moderately entertained by this. As usual, Liberals tell us exactly what they are. Then they project that thing they are inside on others. Should liberals be afraid of this? I would think not.....not if their actions are "good".....not if their actions are "moral"......but they know, they know very well what they have done and what they are, and they fear what they have earned from their behaviors..... My hope.....is that there is NOT retribution of any kind. Instead, I want him to clean house to the fullest extent possible. All the criminals that acted improperly should be routed out of government and replaced with good people.

I think we agree on more than we disagree

In fact they were correct, as has been born out. But setting that aside. There was plenty of rational reason to take those actions, when the initial problem arose. The problem was..... when it was clear those methods were not actually effective, there was no effort to correct course. And locations that did follow the science and react to the fact the the initial moves were not in fact the right moves, they were castigated for doing proper science....

Perhaps, as it turns out, they were also correct....

Joy Behar says 'grand wizard' Donald Trump risked lives by encouraging Iowa vote
RLLD replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Too many have lost the ability to interpret, notably to interpret humor. Sadly, Trump spends too much time with clever humor and not enough speaking forthrightly. -

While this behavior could have arisen from any "news" outlet, we should acknowledge that "The View" is a rather macabre show in terms of its intolerance, hatred and divisiveness.... -

Wellll.... The ratings at Fox have been better than the rest since it was discovered that the rest of media lied relentlessly about Russian Collusion, and clearly was carrying the water for government...and NOT holding it to account... I might also submit that much of the propaganda emerging from Democrats that is being megaphoned by their media propogandists is clearly not working all that well. BUT.....you can only lie to people for so long, before reality overtakes your lies....and THAT is where these people are now....the lies no longer work. -

To some extent, yes, they do inform. In order to avoid the trappings of their bias one must now spend additional time consuming from a variety of sources and they will lie through omission and through colorization. -

This is also correct. And it is not unique to any single outlet, they are all doing it. -

This. There goal is not to inform.....not to hold power to account.....not to be a hedge against power....no sir....their goal is to get ratings...... -
Chicago-area Tesla charging stations lined with dead cars in freezing cold: 'A bunch of dead robots out here
RLLD replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
This is an interesting question. The algorithm of initial costs vs savings will be heavily dependent on usage. The other thing that initially bothered me was the potential to replace the batteries. And apparently, if you use it properly those things can last 15-20 years. I am a 15-20 year user of vehicles as a rule...I will drive that MF'er into the focking ground.... Then you have people who happily pay extravagant money for a depreciating asset, in this case a car, because that is just who they are.....I am not with that.... -

I would actually prefer Vivek over Haley, but I do not have a big problem with Haley. But having been in those cars a bit, they are impressive. But their usage is limited to be sure. That being said, Tesla has implemented tech to really offset their weaknesses to a large extent. -

You seem to end up paying less per mile when using them, and they are really great vehicles with excellent performance. They are feature-rich and those features are intuitive. If the costs were not so ridiculous I would buy one. -
She would enhance the ticket. We need Trump to get back in there and unfock all this damage being done. That is more important that who he picks as a VP

First deny <------- WE ARE HERE then when caught.....minimize by saying "its just that one store" or "its isolated" as it spreads declare it to be a "right wing conspiracy theory" as it surges....blame Republicans....rinse.....repeat.... Finally throw out the "what does it matter now" to pretend we should just drop it. Source -
