Nope, they are exactly what we thought they were. Soft and unready from their up ale schedule, wilting at the first sign of challenge. Sure hope all this NFL teams they hope be on are watching their absence of heart. Truth be told, they should not have even been in a bowl game this week….they were unworthy
-
Yes they were. Florida state wasn’t the only team hit by defection, but unsurprisingly they are the only ones crying about it. Cowards and quitters putting an exclamation point on why they had no business in the playoffs

No! We absofuckinglutely want liberals out there everyday proclaiming the fantastic economy. I want liberals preaching this on every street corner every day. This is good….people will focking hate them for it

No, that is just another common misappplication of the term. in this instance you need to revert to the Islamophobia tactic. Islam is a religion and not a race, Islam is comprised of many races it can be complicated when trying to toss these labels around

There is no need for a "vote" when you can instead do nothing and just let it happen.... -

Maybe not....depending on the locality there could be accountability.... -
Nope, wrong lib-label......you were supposed to toss out the "Islamaphobic" one here....Muslim is not a "race"......common mistake when trying to shoot down the person rather than the idea....

Virtue signaling is a bad thing. This example helps make that point. The best PEOPLE should have been placed on that school board, regardless of religion or skin color or any other non-relevant factors. And when you elevate virtue signaling above good decisions the outcomes might not be as good....
-
They should have voted for the best people. They should have voted for those who espoused American ideals and culture. Instead, they sought to virtue signal. They clearly thought that Islam was compatible with western culture and freedom, and they learned the truth....which is that Islam is NOT compatible with western culture and freedom. They stupidly sought to feel good about themselves that they were helping some oppressed group.....which was false since NO ONE is oppressing muslims.... and in the process shot themselves in the foot...... Well, at least maybe they developed a little wisdom from it.
-
Well, at least the people who live there recognized the mistake they made

Ruh-Rohhhh......they said they were protecting childrreennnnn

Agree. Nobody cares. And as much as the alphabet soup people like to pretend they are harmed or threatened or mistreated.....we know that is complete BS..... If they want to love who ever.....so what.....guy wants to wear a dress? have at it...... no one really cares.... Now..... if you turn to me, and get loud or obnoxious or violent because you perceive I have slighted you.....well, sorry about that....but if you dont let it go then fock you..... If you trot sexuality in front of little kids, then you are a pervert..... if you compete as a man in a womens sport then you are a focking coward and POS.....

This reads like Biden to me, and we have the proof that this is actually true for HIM. -
"Republicans hate black people." Today's yutes really have been brainwashed by the left

I am less critical when it comes to schools. Bad kids arise from bad parenting, and no matter how much money you throw at a school or how good those teachers are, overcoming bad parenting is as much luck as anything else. I think school choice could help, but it might simply elevate the better kids out and just focus the worst kids together. In terms of a solution it might not be the best. Lowering standards is implicitly and acquiescence that the people simply cannot measure up, and I think that is also wrong. Fomenting improvements to the family is where we really need to start. But that will entail admitting the problem, and that is where I see the divergence.... -

This is where I will sometimes drift. How might you setup a system that would pointedly harm a specific set of people. I look at Chicago, New York and Baltimore and the outcomes they face and think.....well, that is one way to treat people you hate...... Time and again, we see politicians SAY how much they care, and all these things they intend to do (some of which are blatantly stupid to be sure) and then hurt these minority areas with such repetitive nature.....almost as if they are trying to.... How long will the abused love their abuser? -
Thanks for your forthright reply, I tend to see this less often than I prefer. I think your point about the parent making the decision likely affords us the best option. I lament parents that get caught up in this unusual social hysteria and consent to their kids being "modified". But being a parent is often challenging, we all do the best we can, and none of us are perfect.
-
I am allowing that there are probably some kids in a unique situation whereby having this life-changing surgery is perhaps a good and helpful thing. The problem we have is the enhancement of it, and its over-use as if it can or should be applied more widely to kids having the normal path of self-discovery. Through the misuse and celebration of this activity we are observing it become a more social phenomenon where people seek it now to elevate themselves within society.....its perverse.

Biden should deal with the border issue, but he’ll win anyhow.

It should be welcomed to observe these people who initially touted this situation as being good and puffed out their chest and fed into this moral-currency thing the left loves now staring down the consequences of their actions and at least acknowledging that the idea was bad..... I take heart that some of them are at least willing to admit it was all a mistake, even though they pretend to be the victims. Most sane and rational people have been calling this out for years, and of course being labelled racist etc.....as the game is played by those on the left.......and to now have leftists coming around is good....though they really should have seen it as intelligent people did from the beginning..... you see this was all avoidable....and easily so... -
I see your point. I might suggest that we all bear a measure of responsibility to stand up for children, not unlike the narrative used in association with historically disenfranchised communities. It might be true that we can care about something, regardless of the context, without having to entirely defend that.....though we should be able to I guess. I see nothing wrong with protecting children, and it does seem that there is some justification behind protecting a child from life-altering surgery.....
-
Correct. And the usage of terminology to hide their acts behind a veil of apparent morality is certainly proving to be effective; though it is not working all that well in this Hamas instance, for which I am grateful.
