Biden should deal with the border issue, but he’ll win anyhow.
RLLD replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
And this is where you lose me...... because that is patently false. I know that is the narrative tossed out, but there is simply nothing abou this policies that are anything approaching what you posted. This is a lazy way of objection. Rather than resort to this it would be far more useful to target the policy and its failures, And there is no perfect polcy of course, but I want the ones that favor America and its current citizens over anyone or anything else. -

I might discourage this inclination to associate positions with Trump and pretend they are bad as a result. Yes you have learned and that should be what we hope for, and not weaponized back to you. Just because Trump happens to hold a good position, does not mean we should not embrace it nor pretend its bad simply because he also agrees. This notion that someone we disagree with, or hold contempt for, should dictate our positions.....that we have to abandon good ideas as a result produces flawed outcomes. -

I am slanted. I am slanted against things that are objectively wrong. THe 1619 strtegy works like this...... teachers provide short readings, photographs or snippets of film to students. The students examine these with a “critical” eye to determine the author’s point of view and biases. Presumably, the student can then separate facts from the writers’ opinions. Then, the students express their views prompted by a series of open-ended questions....with students then dutifully parroting the teachers views back and receiving praise for accepting the indoctrination through positive reinforcement in the form of grades. With some diificulty we can pull back the faux veil of virtue that 1619 trots out to manipulate people into this false sense of morality they use to hide their actual actions. Consider Debunking Howard Zinn, for example. If we better illuminate the game we can clearly see how this group omitts so much information that its grains of truth become misleading and couples a distortion of American history with the romanticization of West African history. It is remarkable that when challenged, as we observed with the Ivy league school presidents....the terms context and nuance are used abundantly to protect their obvious moral failures....but when reviewing history it is suddenly lost.... -

1619 is problematic, but also consistent with standard Liberal doctrine that makes rancid assertions and when challenged turns the situation back around on the critic asserting that THEY are the problem. The 1619 interpretation of history places slavery as the cause of everything in the Marxists’ roll of America’s faults. These distortions feed an immature narrative that makes American history a tale of oppression. It elevates the worst of our past, ignoring the good things. Because anything bad negates anything good, even worse, nothing good is relevant anymore... This hate.....is poisonous and it ignores too much. 1619 leverages the "inquiry model" which can be useful, but any tool that is improperly implemented can be dangrous....and particularly at the high school level were it is weilded in a particularly sinister way..... What we face is faux intellect. Its the revisiting of everything based on skin color.......and the application of intent.....and then the malignment of everything, no matter how good it is.....as being the product of evil. Its a pathetic and repugnant revision of the world to feed the Marxists need to have an army of victims at its disposal to assail others. -
Blanket statements about people based on their skin color is wrong? I might hold you to that....

The Democrats are holding firm that they can again manipulat the election through mechanisms such as early voting by mail etc. Keep in mind that this was the Hillary approach, she manipulated things behind the scenes to ensure Trump was the nominee because she felt he was pretty easy to beat....but she failed to understand how detestable SHE is. So what you have here was Democrats again making this same gambit. Ensuring Trump is the main canidate because they knew from 2020 how to manipulate the election. Plus, they assumed he would get the most attention as nominee and then through an actual conviction on something....anything (which is the reason for the lawfare over-charging etc)...they could eventually use lawfare to eliminate him as a candidate and put the Republicans in turmoil....to their advantage. But in the end mar him sufficiently to manipulate the centrist voters, which is where the election will be decided. It seems that they did not appreciate how damaging Liberal policies have been to those centrist voters, and this business with Hamas has forced Democrats to be moral for a change, which is eroding their radicals. Placating their radical crazies has been complicated, and their economic policies are poisoning their middle voters....and now its clear that Trump is rising in too many areas. In their desperation we should anticipate observing some really maniacal tactics around lawfare in the coming year. As it stays bad, and perhaps gets worse, their desperation, coupled with thier arrogance, should lead to some really comical......and sinister behaviors.....

Given the Liberal inclination to totalitarianism and theocracy(with their party being the religion) it adds up. If you look at the zealots who went in and destroyed ancient carvings etc in places like Iran or Afghanistan, you can observe these behaviors of Liberals as being more or less congruent.... -
What I find odd is that the Senate floor is rather "controlled". It is always under video, and entrance is rather guarded. You could enter and hide more easily in the attached cloakrooms, but those are pretty secure as well. Secretary of Senate controls access and usually non-Senators are escorted around etc. What I always found funny was that they have those two desks on the floor in the corners loaded with snacks, but eating on the floor is forbidden and the clerk WILL go to those Senators and confront them to go consume in the cloakroom if they decide to try to eat on the floor

So..... I watched it....and concur with everything you said here.....oh, and the Deer stuff? I felt like I was watching one of those Shamalayan movies or something....

Consider this if you will.....right now, somewhere out there in this nation, are ACTUAL white supremacists.....who see the segregation of people by color, and are thoroughly satisfied.....

Trump's act to stay in power does not bother me. I think it is being overblown considerably. So rather than focus on that I prefer to focus on what impacts me, my community and the nation in general. These things are all justr distractions and are fed to us to manipulate us. I am disinclined to this, and in fact i find it more than just annoying....it implies that they think we are stupid. -

Obama had X. Bush had Y, CLinton had Z....on and on.....I leave it to you to care about things that are not relevant to today.....I find little value in that. Trump elicited strong feelings among people who felt they were not being listened to, who felt that the world was pressing on them.....he capitalized on it.....and seemingly he created a strong cadre of zealots who remain fiercly loyal. In response liberals crated their own, less so much out of loyalty to a person so much as the party, and perhaps mostly out of simple opposition to Trump. Its strange all around. Trumps policies produced good results, the kind of thing we all would welcome, but their allowance for personal feelings to ignore this is remarkable...... -

Oh but it is the case. Its not great, I am not much of a fan of the zealotry. The current polling supports this notion of the middle being much more valuable than it ever has been. Recently, that middle has apparently grown just a little...but only because of the horrible economy. Now, there is something else, the policies around abortion are big....and if the Democrats weild that well enough, it can negate many things. The question is whether or not it can negate the economic factors. -

Consider that this tactic, you just employed, does not depart all that far from the games of Liberals to defend Biden. Let's not defend the powerful, they do not need it. -

I think this is true, as is the case on the Democrat side. I think this is typically the case, though I think with the emergence of Trump we observed this really take hold. And so now the fight is for the middle in a much more emphatic sense than it ever has been. The numbers of zealots are more than they have ever been for each party, and now that middle area is much smaller, so there needs to be considerable energy thrown to sway them. IMHO -

That is fair. I was delighted with the Trump policies, even though I find him distasteful as a person. I think Biden is OK, but having met him in person he might not be that "good guy" he sells himself as being, just saying..... Now Biden is a better politician......well.....he used to be..... Trump is not a good politician. So let Biden win again, by all means, just please put the Trump policies back into effect so things can improve. I do not need Trump, just the better policies.... -

Check out my thread here The MSM, the big ones.....have gushed over hating Trump........they oppose him no matter what, they avoided ever talking too much about the economy because they knew it lifted him. Media has lost its way, we cannot trust any of them....NONE OF THEM....just have to ingest as much as we can from as many sources as possible and decide for ourselves using simple common sense and logic, -
