I feel bad for those impacted by the lack of leadership that does not control immigration. That the citizens are left to bear the outcomes of their deplorable policy is inherently unfair. If only it were the politicians who were being murdered, that would be truly fair.

I have poured over those, as well as the 3-mile island ones and then there is one about a British one called Windscale that is also interesting. Have you watched Atomic Homefront? Its good....but the pace is a little awkward and there are stretches they need not have included....but generally ok

This is a reasoned and rational position IMHO. I would be in lock step with this. Though, as I have admitted many times, most abortions are actually murder. Women want to have their fun and not insist on protection....they get pregnant....we all know that is what the act will result in.... I am therefore supporting murder, and I will not try to give myself some moral "out" by pretending its not murder. I am happy that sluts who would murder their own children dont get to raise children, I see it as a societal benefit.

Jussie Smollett's conviction upheld by Illinois appeals court
RLLD replied to League Champion's topic in The Geek Club
It correlates directly toward what I have said about the relogion of Liberalism.....you never admit being wrong when you are a Liberal. And when cornered, play the race or gender card. I suggest that had he instead admitted it, begged for forgiveness....he would have recovered eventaully....but now, I am not so sure that is possible. -
We see this all the time in urban settings. What arises is that the lower socioeconomic strata tend to be "stuck". There is a culture that arises and it is not good. One of the things we sought to do was work with community groups. Mostly churches and youth organizations. To offset the crushing oppression of a poisonous culture. Interestingly one of the most effective groups was the Boy Scouts. As it turned out there are a number of elements in scouting that resonated, but also a number that were really chalenging for the kids to embrace. Our goal was to offer them exposure to something other than what their families and friends were providing. But I will admit, we did not succeed as much as we hoped. The draw of "street" or "hood" life is just too familiar and comfortable for them in many cases.

The Battle of Chernobyl I am an avid consumer of everything about Chernobyl, not sure what I find it so fascinating. This one is probably one of my favorites. The recent series on HBO was also really well done. The documentaries do tend to vary as to some key elements, and I think this one has some suspect content. But it is an easy watch. The pace is nice. Sometimes the interviews take up too much time. Worht a watch for sure.

I am thinking you might enjoy watching this give it a try as I think it does a nice job really getting into the weeds....

Thanks! I plan to try some of these.

It's a tough time to be sure. Mostly for the lower socioeconomic strata....but even the middle and upper middle class is feeling this. I feel very fortunate to be able to handle this, but too many people cannot. The harm being done could take a decade or more to unwind. I honestly do not think anyone in government really appreciates the harm being inflicted.

I am a little surprised that any of this is something you are not aware of. But maybe you have not had occasion to ingest it. I know CNN does this, and at MSNBC is is central to their reporting. Politicans have verbalized this. It is deeply immersed in our universities and has been for some time now. I can only hope that at some point there is a turn, something compels a change, and people stop thinking so horribly. I am concerned that our educational system has poisoned the minds of the last couple of generations to such an extent that is might have a permanence. Hate appears to be the new normal as we lose the values that held us together as a nation.

Examples are plentiful. I watch multiple news sources, and its stated plainly....someone has an opinion and the response is you are a white male so you cannot have an opinion. This has been transpiring for some time now. The truth is that some things are true, even if someone is a white male. And to suggest that the quality of an opinion is predicated on skin color or gender, is just not the way to go. It is prevasive in our universities as well. And when even the most liberal of professors dares to question the suspect decisions he is ousted as some kind of racist.... I can go on and on, but I really do not care to conduct research for others. I spent copious amounts of time reading as it is. This is not new....not surprising....not unknown.... its all around us. I surmise that if there were people walking around, and suggesting that some minoroty group could not speak to have an opinion based on their skin color we would all justifiably stand up to it....and so this idea that we can be racist to some group due to their success just does not sit well with me.

I want to suggest.....just suggest, that it might be true.....that maybe, you could perhaps be reading my statements and coloring them with some personal bias. Just suggesting, not asserting. Its coming across as though you read intent, and are trying to find some .....some...intent or something? But I am not inclined to provide you because there was no...intent....and that could be where the gap is arising? Maybe.... Freedom of choice for the modern liberal, does have an influence that considers race and gender.....I do not have the freedom to have an opinion about everything. Liberalism asserts that your skin color and gender are indicators of your relevance.....your freedom to chose an opinion is predicated on skin color and gender..... Now if that sounds at very least....to be racist, that is because it IS in fact racist. But in true relogion form, the natural incongruties that arise have offsets....so its not racism when Liberalism asserts racist views....because they seek to redefine the term to include "power"....this is the way by which they can be vile racists.....and get away with it. The important thing is to not merely not be a racist, but to be anti-racist....so speaking out against racist liberal ideas is a must.

I have always wondered whether or not narcissm is "fixable", its sort of not relevant to the topic, but something I think about.... -

You make a valid point, maybe I am just not seeing his actions in the right way. -
But I provided examples, certainly ones that I would have accepted if provided to me My interepretation was that you did not accept them, which is fine by me. I see conservatives called racists with some frequency, I do not agree with the examples or reasons, but I think people see things differently.

Yep, I recall some quote from him about power being sexy....lol He was imperfect, as are we all, and I did not care for some of the things he did. But history is rife with imperfect leaders who still did great things, and I think he did some great things as well. I like it that he is held to account for his mistakes, though I wish he was appreciated a little more for good things as well. I wonder, if I were to have ever met him what I might have perceived about the guy....

I am not sure. I get the anger about what he did. But maybe he just needs some help -
We can agree to disagree on the qualities of our exchanges. My assertions above remain. I now understand that you will not acknowledge the faults or failures of liberalism and the harm it has and continunes to cause. Modern Liberalism is a relogion and its followers treat it as such, that is my position. I have offered reasons, but you do not want to talk about those reasons. You want to focus on the racial aspect, which I get...that is is most important part for a liberal....to pretend race is the only thing....which is why I mentioned it at all. So in a sense, you are providing some reinforcement for me to continue to see it that way....interestingly.

Hamas terror organization charter targets Christians and US service organizations
RLLD replied to League Champion's topic in The Geek Club
Interesting, while I did serve with some who I may have questioned as to whether or not they were a coward I cannot recall a specific coward. None of us would have been all that enthralled with following a coward, but in the military you will encounter leaders who are of higher quality, and some of lower.....you do not get to choose. What combat taught me was the importance of leadership, and what it looks like when it is good. Good leaders are not always all that likeable....so I learned that a competent dooshbag is far superior to and incompetent "good guy". Trump was a very good leader, Biden is not. Trump is a doosh....Biden is not. I will take Trump, or honestly just about any other Republican, over Biden....he is riunous. If there is a Republican candidate among them you like, lets pick them.....and then lets encourage the Trump=era policies....they were fantastic. -
To be fair, I sometimes am not paying close enough attention, I get caught up in the conversation and assume it is transpiring in good faith. And only later do I realize it was never a real conversation.

Jussie Smollett's conviction upheld by Illinois appeals court

I infer that he continues to insist his innocence? At this point it would seem likely that this poor person has some serious mental health concerns. I know what he did was reprehensible, but I do sorta feel sorry for him -
Reducing this to me is beyond inane. Any example I might submit is irrelevant. The experiences of a single person do not translate to the wider nation.....I apologize, I did forget that you and your ilk prefer to categorize people by skin color. I see what you are struggling..... OK..... Now it makes sense. You are trying to distract from the facts of Liberalism by playing the race game, focusing on that and distilling it down to a person. So then, any white male....using your words....who can then lay claim to some loss of freedom is a "proof" of something, is that what you are saying? I mean that does add up now that I think about it......Liberals always use one-offs as some proof of a systemic issue.....and its never a proof. Yep.....we are at loggerheads here, you want to do something I am unwilling to do....be illogical.....no wonder we were all over the place

A univariate analysis rarely tells the full story, and suggesting something I did not assert is not the way here. You asked a direct question that I answered directly and now you are trying to repaint. You might get away with that with others, but I will call it out. Biden did not fail in just one area or way, it was a series of mistakes; all of which had predictable outcomes. Energy was the easies one, and more relevant than others. I would give him more credit if he had taken the move, as he currently does for almost everything, to blame Trump. He never did that. This is a tell. He either wanted to hide from his mistakes....or he had no understanding of the damage he was doing. I tend to think he had no idea.....because if he understood he would have never pumped all that extra money into the economy.....he would have had to know that inflation would be a killer for his re-election...no, I think on the evidence he and his admin simply did not have enough understand of macroeconomics to do their job....
