I see this as only making things worse. But, we could likely expect this is just the new normal, and that really sucks. This has been one of my main complaints about Democrats going back to Reid eliminating the filibuster on appointments..... too often they grab for the immediate gratification....and in the process violate norms and such, under the guise of progressivism..... Sure, eventually these cases could reach SCOTUS and will likely be corrected. But this entire DOJ weaponization is not about that. It's about intimidation, extortion and just ruining people. Sure, maybe your case gets to SCOTUS and they rule in your favor....but for years the DOJ just hammers you and they do not care, for the most part, that they are eventually shown to be wrong.....no sir..... instill fear, harm as much as possible....that is the liberal DOJ system

She is of course correct, it is plain to see. Anyone being honest with themselves knows very well that the Democrats are weaponizing the justice system to silence political opposition. Certainly, if the roles were reversed Democrats would be apoplectic...and justifiably so.

I have not yet noticed that tactic where the play is "what does it say about you that this person or these people support you" nonsense. Note that there is no movement or effort from those on the right to pretend that this is anything more than a dumb mistake...and not some pointed implication that people are evil....etc... And I submit that she is spot on. Our kids are all different, and they are who they are, truly....we can help them be better though. And if we dive into it and consistently set high expectations, with suitable accountability, then they WILL succeed. And it honestly is not that hard to succeed.

Not absurd. I would caution against underestimating those in power. It would be unwise to pretend all our politicians are good, or have our best interests at heart. Naive would be the dismissal of the possibility, as you have done. My main focus remains item 2, as it always has been. But that assumes only the best of intentions, and I am not invested that these people proceed with the best of intentions.
