I do agree. But this is not his shtick....this is a Trump behavior. I think this guys comes across differently, and would prefer he not dip into that mantra. While I thoroughly support standing up to corrupt media.....I saw him as being more skilled with it, better than this....

The reduction of people from individuals allows for the marxist(Maoist) pursuit to organize people based on physical characteristics and then assign them a value. If that sounds racist its only because it is..... One reduced to a group, you are then assigned politically-centric factors to delineate your role. You individual charachteristics are then irrelevant. The content of your character and your behaviors are irrelevant. Your justice, your value, your place is defined by skin color.....religion(if it is allowed to be practiced) and of course your allegience level to the party. What Democrats are pursuing right now is akin to the social currency policy that China has created.

To me tariffs are more of a weapon than useful policy. When tariffs are raised its effectively a tax on Americans. The rise in cost is intended to diminish domestic hunger for foreign products. Often the raising of tariffs is associated with a drop in GDP. So in terms of policy using them can be effective, but mostly to secure a more productive negotiation elsewhere; some might see this as a quid pro quo, but "quo pro quo" is the bread and butter of international negotiations. I have always found tariffs to be something I am tepid on, when used in the past to protect domestic manufacturers they were just not that effective. The problem we face is that our competitors have an unfair advantage; they are socialist states. In socialism the well-being of the people is subjugated to the welfare of the state and party. So places like China can be grotesquely cruel to their people, whereas we cannot. Not that we should want to be. So in that perspective tariffs can be an equalizer. I do not have a strong objection since most nations just take advantage of our generosity for little return, in the case of China they are pointedly evil in the way they deal.

I have heard that as well. I think the "thing" might be whether or not Trump can control his mouth, and if he can....then it will perhaps be how badly thing have become for independents, just how destructive has the Biden economic manuevers been for them. To date, he has dismissed their pain and told them everything is great, and that means he wont change and at least attempt to make their lives better.

Trump is electable, he has already done it once. If we want better, and I think we can do better, then yes....we need some fresh blood. This guy seems to mostly fit the bill, but a few of his positions give me pause. I might suggest that a Democrat candidate dedicated to actual unity and in opposition to the racist "woke" dogma would be a force to be reckoned with.

I have a BIG problem with this pardoning nonsense. That alone could cause me to not vote for him. But I am also more than a little concerned with his solution for eliminating the FBI. He has suggested using Marshalls to replace them. I have low confidence in that as a solution, though I am entirely supportive of eliminating the FBI...... He is an interesting candidate, flawed of course, but I am more and more receptive to him.

Had to go back and review the posts, I now see your point. Conservative-led localities are no better at facing down the cultural issues impeding minority groups than liberals are.

You lied by omission, and now that you are continuing to not be honest about this.....that is sort of a problem. If you are not willing to be honest then there is little we have left to discuss. If you change your mind I always enjoy discussion. But I do not entertain the company of liars.....

Let's start with an easy example, the Henry Louis Gates Jr instance. This instance was actually well-reviewed by credible sources. It is but one example of many, and I am not your professor nor your research assistant. But I encourage you to be more thoughtful and inquisitive. It actually would benefit you. Because to not do so lays the foundation for another Trump, and I am confident you do not want that. So be less angry, be more thoughtful, stop pretending there are no problems to be solved.

Do you have a competing poll? If that poll showed an improvement, would you denigrate it using that same racist argument? So....you ask for some "proof"...... and I provide some, in the form of links to reputable sources showing the evidence.....faced with the evidence.....you make no effort to produce a competing source, and instead use a racist response to denigrate that evidence..... I do not beleive that Biden "loves" Ukraine and "hates" Maui Based on what we know, and the evidence we have, it makes far more sense that Biden is helping Ukraine as a political maneuver, and perhaps also to avoid exposure of his criminal activiies with that nation. I doubt his staff had time to instruct him on what to say about Maui, so he had to wait for them to teach him.

I prefer to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. People are often easily manipulated. What is coming through for this person is that they have been manipulated by the more hateful elements of liberalism. But should we stop talking? Would that not be one of the more liberal actions? To stop talking to people out of misplaced agnst or hate?

I did not. It is, as I stated, happenstance more than anything else. BOTH parties have examples of failed policies and approaches. You need to slow down, read more carefully, and stop projecting.
