Thats fine. Maybe he does and we are pretending to make something our of nothing....and maybe he has limitations that he exceeded....and we are pretending to make something out of nothing......unless its Biden, then we just forget about it and move on.
-
Anything he says or does MUST be opposed without regard for its value to the American people. Democrats now stand for only one thing, opposing Trump. They have no plan....no policies....no future.....nothing......
-
Because the President has that privilege. If you object to that role having that capability then you need to lobby your elected officials to have it changed.

Why are the liberals acting so retarded at this joint address?
RLLD replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
Put simply....Trump is a significant threat to the status quo.....to the corrupt cabal.... I said this years ago....that the Demorats were now more terrified of Trump than ever before. He has learned from his first term, he has had time to watch them and see their tactics....all their dirty and corrupt acts....and new he came back in armed with that experience. They knew very well that this time he would come better prepared and with intent to out their corruption....and he is tearing into that. He is a threat to that back hallway money streeam that enriches those in government well beyond reason. He could seriously impeded their self-enrichment at our expense. -
By itself, it would absolutely be a weak argument.... I agree with you on that point....but when you place it next to the array of obviously political lawfare, it starts to collectively look increasingly bad. The DOJ became a weapon for the Democrat party.

Trump had the power to declassify, Biden did not. The disparity in treatment was palpable... Alone it would really not mean much, but when stacked up next to the fraudulent impeachments and lawsuits galore....it was too much.. They tried too hard to take him out, and people picked up on it....thats why, much to their consternation, no matter how much they did it....people would INCREASE their support....they saw what was happening... you all are not fooling anyone....

My original post was pointed and spot on. I do not detect any lack of clarity. Gotcha on the rhetorical question. I think tariffs have been fine for quite a long time, though it would seem that Trump trying to balance their application or use them to persuade has people up in arms. I guess I get that.

I think the poster above showed us a decent one. Trump had the ability to take files with him as President, whether we like it or agree with it, but Biden never did...and yet he also had them. Trump stood by his right to have the files as he should have, and the FBI decided to raid him....because they wanted to smear him.....Biden at least realized he could not have those files. Pretending the two situations are the same, or that Trump is somehow worse, is just another thing that makes Trump more popular, because reasonable people look at the situation and can tell there was unreasonable acts against Trump. Now, I get that our liberal brethren really want this thing, want it to work, want people to but into Trump being the "bad man" and what not......but I will tell you, the more you try it, the less we will buy into it. It didnt work......my suggestion....try something new....
-
Any reasonable person could easily see the disparities in treatment, if you remove the political context. I think when you have decided you hate someone, no matter what they do or really are you can only ever see them in a negative way.

I have watched your writings. I base my assessment on what you have written. The Trump prosecutions were political lawfare, and nothing more. The Democrats may have gotten away with it had they not gone so overboard with it. Now, I hope that Bondi will not replicate those behaviors, and will not merely take her time, but also apply reason......and if that reason means she does not pursue an elected official, I prefer that over legal abuses....as the Democrat operatives used....
-
I might be inclined to think that way about Trump if the Democrats did not over charge so extravagantly, or apply novel legal approaches.....or treat Biden and Trump so differently..... Here is the other side of this coin.....had Republicans....done any one piece of that to Biden YOU.....and your mates would have been justifiably outraged, as would I..... but YOU....and the rest of your people only see it one way....because of politics.
-
I see your point, and I know the intent of the prosecutions was to stop him from being able to run, or at least muddy him.....and I accept that. You call him a felon, but all that does it remind me of the willingness of Democrats to abuse the legal system. In short, that gambit to throw mud at Trump with the "felony" nonsense didnt work, and its still not working, we know it was a corrupt pursuit by corrupt people.
-
Well, you don't simply charge people unless you think you can prove they have committed the act. It might be true that you have a ton of information, but if as the prosecutor you question whether it will be enough to prove your case then you wait to proceed until you have the right amount or quality. In this instance, Holman thinks it could be, but so what.....it only matters when Bondi thinks..... so I hope she is careful and thoughtful.....she needs to be the opposite of the liberal partisans she replaced.

Why Trump’s Rapid Fire News Releases are Breaking the Democrats Narrative System
RLLD replied to avoiding injuries's topic in The Geek Club
It is sad that this is how they continue to behave and believe they should act I will never understand the placement of party power above the american people. On the bright side, I sorta hope they keep this up. They have been so obnoxious that people voted for Trump over them, -
If you have a specific question I can try to answer it. If you now want to talk about free trade I can do that as well. I think we should first find common ground with terminology. I submit that free trade is the flow of goods and services across borders without tariffs, quotas, or other restrictions. So what are some benefits? I think the economic growth when we open markets can boost their economies through increased exports and access to cheaper imports. This and can stimulate competition and innovation. I can translate into lower prices, wider supply options and allows nations with some specific advantage to get entry into the global markets which naturally translates into improved worker situations around the world....and it can also enhance global relationships. Nothing is perfect of course, and we cannot ignore the imperfections of free trade as well. Globalization can be rather harmful to domestic industries, and create over-specialization in markets that later results in harmful outcomes to interruptions in supply chains. Not everyone shares our values of course, and some nations are only too happy to exploit people within their industries, which lowers wages and living experiences as well. Nations are more willing to make environmental and human sacrifices in less prosperous areas to compete with bigger economies. Is that where you are hoping to take this? Toward some kind of free trade discussion?

EU weighs $840 billion plan to 'rearm Europe' after US pauses Ukraine aid
RLLD replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
Government was intended to deliver basic services. It evolved into a wealth reallocation system. So you have productive people putting in the work and making money.....and then you also have others who do not put in the work, but feel as though they should have stuff anyway.....government that embraces socialism ruins progress and productivity. -
I think you could have a more thoughtful reply. I see the dismissal without even considering the points to not be enough to dissuade anyone..... Many elements of NAFTA remain in place. The USMCA kept the foundation of free trade between the three countries, ensuring most goods can move across borders without tariffs. So you have many of the same things,, USMCA simply improved on them a little. Such as automobile manufacturing — increasing the percentage of car parts that must be made in North America to qualify for tariff-free status, adding stronger protections for workers and the environment and extending copyright protections and addressing digital trade, which NAFTA didn’t cover.

They do not have the money to bulk up militarily. The have used the threat capabilities of the United States to avoid military spending. Instead, they have bloated social programs......and THAT is where the money will have to come from. And those choads over there are nearly as entitled as people here.....so I wish them well..... -
If I am wary of you, it is for good reason.

This thread is about tariffs

Your immediate response above warrants getting ahead of pretty much anything you might now post.

If you asserted that the sky was blue I would have to confirm with two more people.

IF.....it can likely be proven. I DO NOT.....want the novel or corrupt legal practices Democrats have conducted to be replicated here with AOC. We should not accept it if they try. We cannot allow ourselves to become as corrupt as Democrats.
