Agree completely. And younger kids will love it. When they take you in to see the Atlantis.....its pretty awe inspiring as well. My kids still rave about going there 16 years later.

This. Though I usually stay at Shades of Green. Being able to walk over to Epcot is nice. We are heading back soon for the Food and Wine thing for sure.
-
I do not see it that way. Later, if Biden does something similar I would also defend his right to it. I really find this ideological bias to be unnerving.
-
Its a great question. We allow bad behaviors to such an extent that the position is just miserable now.
-
Oh, well good to go then.

Perhaps. Of course the location they presently want might be among the least favorable for him, so I get that as well. If he has the right to pursue a different location, then he should do so. I mean, we are seeking justice here. That being said, I think he has a tough hill to climb to secure that outcome.

My last kid is about to leave high school, next spring, and I can tell you this shortage is not new. It does seem to be getting worse, but it has been an issue of sorts for at least a decade.

I see the hypocrisy of politicians is something you have discovered, welcome to the party

I am assiduously opposed to suspensions and such, I am sorry that happened. -
It would ensure the jury at the very least could be more impartial. This element was so important that it was codified into the 6th amendment. In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense. So what is then required? In order to establish a prima facie violation of the fair-cross-section requirement, the defendant must show first that the group alleged to be excluded is a ‘distinctive’ group in the community and then second that the representation of this group in venires from which juries are selected is not fair and reasonable in relation to the number of such persons in the community and then finally that this underrepresentation is due to systematic exclusion of the group in the jury-selection process. If a plaintiff demonstrates a prima facie violation, the defendant faces a pretty high burden, the jury selection process may be sustained under the Sixth Amendment only if those aspects of the process that result in the disproportionate exclusion of a distinctive group, such as exemption criteria, “manifestly and primarily” advance a “significant state interest." So should Trump try for it, well yes, since its his right to do so.
-
I have already answered your question. I am not interested in anything more than ensuring fairness, which up to this point I do not think has been in play. And again, ten years from now who cares? Well, if this weaponization is turned back on YOU and YOURS....you might care, and I would be right there next to you.

I am gratified that we have common ground here. I think every traitor deserves to be held to full account, which I whu I have always supported the accountability being applied to Trump. My issue remained that Biden not being held equally accountable. So there is nothing new here for me. I am disinclined to pretend that any of them should be excluded, unlike my ideological opponents.
-
I did, it was obvious at the time that his moves would foment inflation, but he chose to do it anyway. Ok, I get it. But when it came time to deal with the inflation.....he LIED to us....pretended it wasnt true.....then he LIED again, straight to our faces, and called it "transitory"....so yeah, I sorta had an issue with that. Now the Fed, whom I would normally assail, has actually done a pretty decent job of dealing with this situation. I am surprised and a little gratified that they have stepped in and are taking suitable actions. I am also gratified at some of the stonewalling, such as from Manchin, to protect us for a little while from Biden throwing gas on this thing, to include the misguided student loan nonsense. Now is not the time to be reckless. To pretend that Biden handled this well is to ignore the palpable harm he inflicted on the lower classes, and I am not ready to do that just yet.
-
You may not see it as a political hunt, and I wont bother to debate it with you....but it is..... I objected when this similar thing was done to Clinton, when they tried it with the Obama birth certificate, and I object to it being done to Trump....not because I give a rats assss about Trump but I care about the system. I care about the precedent being set, the misuse of the DOJ and the overall justice system as a political lever. Right now you might not care, but what happens if the DOJ and courts somehow evolve to become more conservative, and they do this to people YOU support. It would STILL be a problem, I would STILL object to it....because it was STILL be wrong.....

Correct there was some work to be done for sure, and I was grateful that it was being done. Of course I prefer less spending, and I lamented the need for it at the time. And also opposed the needless COVID money as well, as has already been covered. Again, no President is perfect or can address all the needs of all people, but can help many if they choose. I love that Trump made incredible strides with unemployment, and though COVID really diminished that, I think it could be recovered, but it really need not be Trump...anyone can step back in and deliver his policies, and that is all I really want. I see that you really seem to have a pointed problem with Trump, I guess I get that, I am just not on the train of pretending one guy did it all or anything like that. I know there are those out there who tout Trump, or Biden and pretend these guys are somehow "good" I think people like you add value to the overal conversation.
-
OK, I see you want to target some specific things that bother you. Makes sense, I have other things that bother me about him, but since no candidate is perfect we often have to pick what is hopefully the least destructive. You were happy with Trump spending $3.8T on covid the year before inflation exploded? I was not How about adding $8T to the debt in just 4 years? Think that had an impact on inflation? Yes, there was much to repair from the Obama administration How about bullying the Fed to LOWER rates in '19 during "booming" times? Think that had an impact on inflation? The Fed policy on rate is something I have covered in THOROUGH DETAIl over the years. I have been notably discontent with Fed behaviors going back to the mid-90s, and vocal about it here as well Oh wait, it's Bidens $1.9T covid bill that caused the inflation that Biden has since brought down right? Your point is curious, are you actually concerned about inflation or just who introduces it? I mean, when it became obvious that actions were inflationary, many people called it out.....the right move would then of course be to NOT foment it....but Biden, even though armed with the right information ignored this.....then pretended it wasnt true.....then tried to pretend it was "transitory". I could be equally mad at both, or a little more mad at the one who had the ability to make it less imapctful but refused....
-
Ah, gotcha. Every defendant deserves the most impartial situtation possible. We need protections from the state in every scenario. In this case we have an obvious political hunt, moving it to WV makes sense for Trump as well as the validity of the prosecution.
-
I am hopeful that there is not an eye for an eye, as i have alrady indicated elsewhere. I previously posted that I want him to clean out the DOJ, but not under the umbrella of vengerance, even if it would be jutstified

Helping the Democrats and DOJ, it would not make any sense....

I am eager to reinstate America gained 7 million new jobs far exceeding all projections Middle-Class family income increased nearly $6,000, more than five times gains during the entire previous administration. The unemployment rate reached 3.5 percent, the lowest in a half-century. Achieved 40 months in a row with more job openings than job-hirings. More Americans reported being employed than ever before (almost160 million) Jobless claims hit a nearly 50-year low. for the first time in nearly 3 decades incomes rose in every single metro area in the United States Unemployment rates for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, Native Americans, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those without a high school diploma all reached record lows. Unemployment for women hit its lowest rate in nearly 70 years. Lifted nearly 7 million people off of food stamps. Poverty rates for African Americans and Hispanic Americans reached record lows. Income inequality fell for two straight years, and by the largest amount in over a decade African American homeownership increased from 41.7 percent to 46.4 percent. During the third quarter of 2020, the economy grew at a rate of 33.1%, the most rapid GDP growth ever recorded. Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Doubled the standard deduction making the first $24,000 earned by a married couple completely tax-free. Doubled the child tax credit. Cut the business tax rate from 35 percent – the highest in the developed world – all the way down to 21 percent. Small businesses allowed deduct 20 percent of their business income. Businesses allowed deduct 100 percent of the cost of their capital investments in the year the investment is made. Over $1.5 trillion was repatriated into the United States from overseas. Created nearly 9,000 Opportunity Zones where capital gains on long-term investments are taxed at zero.Approximately 1 million Americans will be lifted from poverty as a result of these new investments. Immediately withdrew from the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Ended the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and replaced it with the brand new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA). Returned 56 hostages and detainees from more than 24 countries. Withdrew from the horrible, one-sided Iran Nuclear Deal and imposed crippling sanctions on the Iranian Regime. Conducted vigorous enforcement on all sanctions to bring Iran’s oil exports to zero and deny the regime its principal source of revenue

I might suggest its more common than we really appreciate. Think of kids today, we allow them to behave in a sh!tty way, because accountability is somehow "wrong" Who in their right mind would go into teaching, let alone stay in the profession?
-
If YOU were a defendant, I would expect YOU to make full use of every opportunity to prove YOUR innocence. And I would not denigrate you for doing it. So yeah, I think Trump and Biden both making full use to deny their actions resonates.
-
While I would absolutely vote for Trump, it would be to get back to the sane and logical policies. Now I will admit that the incessant targeting of Trump is both tiresome and obviously politically-motivated, I presume its just more of the same in that dirty tricks are as much a part of politics as fish are to water. What i do not think liberals/Democrats/media are yet appreciating is the "over doing it" nature of their behaviors. It really comes across badly, the lack of restraint now is just way too much. The disparities, across the board, are just too much.....
-
Should we pretend there is some kind of "trope" in play against rednecks to pretend this away? I think not......behaviors should matter more than pretend past transgressions etc.
