The quality of a "whistleblower" is often the value of their accusations politically..... you should not expect liberals to support ones that call out liberal malfeasance any more than conservatives trust those who call them out. That being said, it sure seems like the part of law and order....and the constitution....loses that stance once their weaponization of accusations is pointed back at them

They oppose Trump on anything, without real consideration for the impacts. In this instance, they strayed from their rather consistent stance on renaming.....and then pretended it was "different" with a rather weak excuse, which I will not accept.

They simply oppose Trump, and they hold far left views that are sometimes even racist. I have always liked the AP, but in recent years they have fallen down rather abruptly in their journalistic integrity. But to be fair, there are far worse, like the liars at MSDNC by way of example.

They are equal. Further, I am being consistent here. I note that when just about anyone else(other than Trump) want to change a name, its all good. From Forts...to schools...to cities in Ukraine.....but once Trump does something, the immediate move is to oppose it without thought....hence the emergence of these easily shown hypocrisy from a legacy media that has sold its soul to a political side of the isle.
