There are plans in abundance for situations of course, and the precision of this execution suggests not merely a good plan, but outstanding training and prep of our people. Trump may have made the call, but if the outcome is good it will be because our military people are exceptional. I remain wary that this was actually needed.

I think the premise they are hoping to sell is that by doing nothing, it would have all gradually gone away on its own. This they believe, even though we have ample evidence in the past riots that it only got worse when not dealt with.
