Any normal person can see what happened.....so you are looking at the situation....right? And saying, a reasonable person would look at the scenario and make a reasonable assertion that something untoward has happened, am I reading your position on this correctly?
-
I am in the fence about that right now. I think the perception that it is corrupt cannot be easily disputed. The problem I have is my complete lack of trust in the DOJ at this time, I could be convinced it was a corrupt act, I do not hold absolute positions, and when evidence arises that tends to refute my position, I will move my position.....I am conservative, not liberal.

I think you and I have comnon ground here, I am also on board with these resignations.

Yes, we will have to disagree, protecting violent criminals....so they can roam in our society, is not my definition of a hero.

I think we should have tax reform in concert with the elimination of wasteful spending. The government should operate a limited set of things, and few as possible. So strip government down as far as you can, by all means. But then address the revenue stream of course. Taxing people less foments economic growth, money funneled to government limits economic growth.

Adams may have been guilty of bribery. But let me ask, on what information are you basing that rather strong position you are taking? Holman told all the liberal officials out there, he was going to find the criminals with or without their help, and if they simply handed the criminals over others who were only guilty of violating our border would not be involved. Liberals elevated the protection of criminals above all else, even the other illegals they pretend to care about. If you are mad about those others being caught up in it, look no farther than the liberals protecting the bad ones.... He is an absolutely hero, finally, some one is standing up for the good people of this nation, and getting rid of the bad.

More female and less white’: Missouri AG accuses Starbucks of violating anti-discrimination laws
RLLD replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I see it differently. But no matter, here we are, agreeing. Later, should there be some other legal nonsense thrown at Trump, we likely disagree....and have to await some other legal action that is also wrong, but hits the right marks for you politically. Having common ground of any kind is a pretty cool thing in our society today. -
I also found this a little uncomfortable I am not yet sure what to make of it. Adams seems to be going through a real paradigm shift overall. He was at one time a little left of center, but has been moving past center a bit to the right...... Holman is a hero, getting the criminal out if absolutely focking beautiful. If he is also able to save the children, man.....focking awesome.

I get that, I accept that you do not see the disparity, that is why I am not applying intent.....just noting how your perception of legal matters tends to depend on the politics in play Not a cognitive act so much as a muscle memory response. Whether we agree on a given point will likely rely on th situation meeting your political stances. In this case, the politics have your position in concert with my own. -

If you maintain that the legal actions against Trump were legitimate, and yet challenge this one, yeah, your position is rather maleable. -
House Dem faces backlash for 'promoting physical violence' at DOGE protest

Words are only violence if those words in any way challenge a liberal position.....otherwise, those who refuse to submit to liberalism get violence because they deserve it.....sorry, not my rulz -

I tend to agree with you. Here is the rub. Almost every legal maneuver of late seems like trite nonsense, to include (and perhaps especially) those lobbed at Trump. Your position on the validity of legal action seems to ebb ad flow based on the political currency. But, since it arises that, if only temporarily due to your political bias, we find ourselves in cadence on the topic.....I like to show where we share agreement. -
Perhaps I misunderstood your position.
-
I think you are revising your position here. You know very well that you were pretending that Trump was going to lower prices on day one, because that was one of him campaign promises.....and so you want to suggest people were stupid for voting for him, based on that one singular point. Maybe this conversation is making that assertion less comfortable for you? I mean, if that is the case then its a good thing, it speaks to your character.

House Dem faces backlash for 'promoting physical violence' at DOGE protest
RLLD replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
I disagree, but only because Trump as a candidate really started under Obama ad before Clinton was a candidate. Now, agree completely on the left flipping out. Its notable that the left used lamentation about chaos under Trump as a reason to not vote for him......yeah, THEIR focking chaos....so their stance was, dont vote for Trump or else.... -

I see the merit in your opinion. I might counter with the idea that Trump being elected was actually a response to what Obama did. It was the actions of Obama that led us to Trump. -
Trump and Russia- the optimism is fading

What do you hope to gain by acting this way? -
I see. So then your goal is to highlight discrepancies, to pronounce evidence that would tend to impugn Trump, where it arises. And then through this maneuver you hope to enhance the ability of the Democrat Party to secure power. I get that. I have to admit that some of my stances are not that far from your own. By way of example, for all those months and months Democrats and their media puppets were trying to sell the lie of a good economic situation and I implored them to keep doing it, louder and louder, because I understood just how much it was p!ssing off voters, and in the end Trump could win as a result. So I get it completely. I guess in this instance, I am going back to the well. I think this manuever on your part, and the wider Democrat Party, is only p!ssing people off, so by all means....please keep doing it....hell, but a billboard somewhere near a highway, just make it clear that is DEMOCRATS sending that message, please....

I recall that he was pardoned. This was not an action taken for no reason, he is a vile creature.

Spot on. Putin would love to pull Ukraine back into the Russian domain, no question. I think he miscalculated on this endeavor. But his long term goal would likely be to see Ukraine at least be a puppet state serving Russia -

I do look back and see that the Obama admin introduced a turn in our society, and not for the better. -
I agree in part. That he would not bring them down day 1. And what do you presume you are achieving by hanging on this point?
