Well, Democrats are announcing they will shut down the government if Trump does not stop what he has been doing.....y'know, the stuff Americans voted him in to office to do..... I know Republicans have done this shutdown thing in the past to attempt to force more fiscally responsible funding, but the Democrats are weaponizing it to inhibit the mandate Trump has been afforded to change things.

We will have to agree to disagree on the value of tariffs.

I only ask since it is the Democrats seeking to shut down the government, and well, is it still a bad thing?

All the years of lying about inflation and high prices, and now we suddenly see Democrats bemoaning prices. I wonder, do they understand how this looks?

What these Democrats did to this nation should not be forgiven.

I get this and this was more or less my position when Biden was ramping up inflation. Now, for all the grief I give Biden about his mistakes I have to admit that while he sought to eradicate most of Trumps policies, he did keep the tariffs and never changed them, and I think that was a rather smart move. In order to fix our issues, this is the way, there is no magic way to fix things without some effort. We are here, cannot undo the past, the pain that built up over the last four years will now have to be wrung out......it sucks, but this is all part of the medicine.

You are somewhat correct and somewhat incorrect. I think you are being perhaps a little unfair to Theil. Yarvin is something of an advocate for a post-democratic system and his assertions that Democracy is corrupt is on point of course, but then again most governments are. He has promoted a sort of “neocameralist” form of government, and while I do not agree with most of his conclusions, he does raise formidable observations. While Thiel has voiced criticism of democracy, he is really more focused on the technical aspects and seems to object to the incredible inefficiencies, but does not appreciate that the Democratic system tends to be less harsh as his alternatives. He has not explicitly called for the abolition of democracy or the installation of a monarchy. He seems to point toward how businesses serve the primary interest of efficiency and value, and how CEO's tend to be rather good at returning value. I do not share all of their opinions and conclusions, but I allow they have some good arguments.

He may have. I mean, all the things that aligned to allow him to get off a clean shot....could have been pure coincidence.....I surmise the changes Trump is making will allow the truth to come out eventually.

Pump your brakes. Let's not get ahead of ourselves on this. Do not forget how often whistleblowers lied about Trump. Demonstrate some patience.

Watching Democrats speak about the Educational system, which they dominate and have effectively run for decades......and which has steadily declined in performance......shout about someone seeking to try something different.....is just focking hysterical. These pieces of filth who have contributed to the ongoing ruination of our educational policy pretending to now care? Worry about children? They really think they can lie and we will never know...... Do they not realize that the precedent was set already? By liberal players throughout media? I guess if it becomes true that media shifts toward the center or the right, THEN.....it is a focking problem? Really?

I would allow there are certainly some "bad schools" and "bad teachers". I might suggest it has far more to do with the quality of the children; as an outcome of the quality of the parents. If you are a decent person, you will have more favorable outcomes, if you are a sh!tty person....life is going to be a little more challenging.

I said from the jump that part was f the reason Democrats were so over the top and frenetic was that they knew Trump would come back in armed with more knowledge and go after their corruption with zeal. Hey look, I was right again….
