I did not read the article, will go back and take a look

My position remains as to the initial intent of the amendment, I am not aware of any alternative position on that inception. Now, my position remains that the generosity of this amendment has been abused, therefore I support action to eliminate that abuse.
-
No, but I am keen to challenge it. Propaganda has arisen virulently from the left, notable the Democrat Nation Media enterprise. So where it arises that anyone, Hegseth or otherwise, can hold them to account we all win in the end. Ending propaganda is the mission.
-
I read what you wrote, but I am not wrong, you are free to disagree but your opinion is not authoritative. Rather than insist on such notions you should be willing to discuss it. I welcome the elimination of this amendment if at all possible, I think it is time this happens.
-
Correct. Here with Hegseth is potentially an opportunity, one which should be explored and exploited if possible. We have to win alot of tiny battles to win the war.
-
Wrong. The amendment was not intended for immigrants, but instead for those here who were at risk, it was a response to the issues faced by formerly enslaved Americans after the Civil War. It was a key part of the Reconstruction era and was ratified in 1868. Now, setting that aside. There are those who understand that they can use this as a tool to avoid deportation, and have done so, and also noted the way the Chinese were using it. There will be legal challenges, as there should be. I am hopeful we can find a result that benefits Americans, not illegal immigrants. In the end, they can still deport the parents, of course liberals will then try to use the optics....as they love to do. Too focking bad, let them cry, I would be elated if their little game failed.

How come none of you MAGAts have discussed Elon Musk giving a Nazi salute, twice, onstage?

When have I not agreed with the ADL? -
I think the media should be enthusiastic for ALL political players, so while I have no problem with them specifically going after Hegseth......since....well, he is to work for a conservative president so I finally get some focking accountability for a change....no, this is the long game. Later then liberals eventually return to power, I want the same effort applied.
-
The Democrat National Media is unrestrained when it comes to holding conservatives voices to account, and notably silent when it comes to holding liberal voices to account. I start from this place. Now, should it arise that Hegseth can sue and hold them accountable, as Trump did recently, I see this as helpful to influence these organizations to get rid of the partisans, and instead embrace actual journalism. I do not presently see any other way to end the bias. I really do not care who it is, I want people, all of them, to sue these organizations back to actual journalism.

I have to infer that liberals will now label the position of the ADL as "misinformation" and classify the entity as MAGA-racist. One does not simply defy the cult without repercussion.... -
It gets interesting. The 14th amendment was a move to protect slaves after emancipation. As with any good intention, sometimes the outcomes are unexpected. You will always have people who want to exploit. There are many of them. It has not simply been our neighbors to the south who have abused our kindness and laws, The Chinese astutely realized they could create citizens, then bring them home for indoctrination.....anyone venture a guess how they might then use those people?
-
If he can sue he absolutely should sue. People need to go after the advocacy media, maybe if they pay out enough in penalties they will stop the propaganda and go back to journalism.

ADL says ‘awkward’ Musk gesture ‘not a Nazi salute’ I would tend to defer to the ADL on this -
Joe Biden pardons Anthony Fauci, Mark Milley and the Jan. 6 committee

Perhaps your inclination is less about "truth" so much as what your liberal masters have directed you to think. Maybe. Since i have already voiced my objections to BOTH sets of pardons, I infer we may have encountered one of those rare situations where your malleable morality temporarily aligns with my position -

I do not see a way to hold them accountable given the pardons. My hope is that perhaps they can put out as much detail about what transpired that eventually public outcry compels some action, but that is a long shot. It would still be nice to take away their criminal funds, give them to the American people. -

Hmmm, that is an odd way to misrepresent what I posted. I do wonder what would compel you to continue to defend this man and his family, there is no longer any need to pretend this all away. You can move on now, focus on pretending other Democrats are not also corrupt. -

I would hope they could, But lets see what an improved DOJ decides. If they decide to move on from it, and focus on other things, then fine I guess.....but at least the DOJ will no longer protect them. -

No they didnt, they focused on the imporant element which was to try to determine what was sold to our adversaries by Biden for them to provide those millions to his family through the fake LLC's. he effectively protected all that money, and his accomplices in his family, through the pardons. Still, if they can at least put all the details together for the millions they harvested, and put it on public display, I would welcome that. They are no longer in power, there is no longer any need to protect them, you really can drop the facade.... -

No the evidence is there, they have all they need to investigate, as they would with any other such crime....you start with the simple evidence, then you investigate....but will they? nah, and frankly why bother......though.....these people have harvested millions from our adversaries....it would be nice to recover that for the american people.... -

I had not considered that he was doing it on purpose. I just assumed he is an awkward dork who wasnt sure what to do with his hands, he was so excited. -
I mean, I am fine with it honestly. I actually feel safer with Trump in part because I know the Democrat National Media and a portion of people will be voracious in calling him out....which we really did not have with Biden until he was no longer useful to their power grasp (after the debate). I focking love it that people will have him under the microscope. Its a refreshing change that now the President can be held to account.

I can sorta get why folks stand up for their political creatures....but a beaurocrat? That seems to be a stride past simple common sense. I think it was Obama and his ability to sell himself that seems to have people forgetting that we should all detest politicians.... -
So, are we now holding presidents accountable again for speaking mean to reporters? Good to know.
-
Spot on. The man is standing out there with no protections, just taking question after question....and man, its focking refreshing....

But the Democrats know their crimes, which is why they set the stage about Trump coming after them for "revenge". So they have primed the pump to now pretend that any attempt to hold them to account is just "revenge" etc.... He need not play into that directly. What if instead he forces the declassification of all the stuff the DOJ has been hiding? Let the country see what they were up to....and then let the outcry result in prosecutions....
