June Mock 2024 - Check In- MONDAY MORNING!

Dan, what if you drafted the first two days and then maybe Mike could take it from there based on some general instructions you leave for him. That way, you are still a part of the No-Hassle league and stuff.
  2. Thank you for jumping in and providing common sense amongst all the partisans.
  3. A lot of stuff is rigged. I don't know about fair-unfair. It's more about consistency across the political spectrum, which is sorely lacking. Trump did stuff wrong. Did it rise to the level of tying up all the resources for this case? I don't see it. Trump was not sent by God. America is still awesome. More people examine the all the good and bad and still choose Trump than just blind sheep doing so.
  4. They're both guilty of suppression of information- both Trump and Biden. This is just stupid. Politicians do this all the time. Doesn't make it right (or wrong for that matter), but to act as if this is somehow exclusive to Trump is just stupid. Politics is a dirty, corrupt business. Either throw the whole batch out or quit targeting one in particular.
  5. So, I did a five-round mock draft recently to get an idea as to where I see players being picked in redrafts and how teams might look after those five rounds are up. I am listing all 12 teams with QB (if they have one) listed first followed by RB, WR, and TE (again, if they have one). So, after five rounds, the twelve teams look like this. Which team would you rather have? (Non-PPR) 1. Anthony Richardson, Christian McCaffrey, Chris Olave, Amari Cooper, Sam LaPorta 2. Jalen Hurts, Devon Achane, Rhamondre Stevenson, CeeDee Lamb, Jaylen Waddle 3. Joe Burrow, Isiah Pacheco, Alvin Kamara, Tyreek Hill, Mike Evans 4. C.J. Stroud, Breece Hall, Kenneth Walker, Deebo Samuel, DeVonta Smith 5. James Conner, Zamir White, Ja'Marr Chase, Brandon Aiyuk, Travis Kelce 6. Dak Prescott, Josh Jacobs, Justin Jefferson, Marvin Harrison, Jr., Drake London 7. Josh Allen, Bijan Robinson, Davante Adams, D.K. Metcalf, Trey McBride 8. Lamar Jackson, Jonathan Taylor, Aaron Jones, Garrett Wilson, Michael Pittman 9. Travis Etienne, Rachaad White, David Montgomery, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Tee Higgins 10. Saquon Barkley, Derrick Henry, D.J. Moore, Stefon Diggs, Mark Andrews 11. Patrick Mahomes, Jahmyr Gibbs, Joe Mixon, Puka Nacua, George Kittle 12. Kyren Williams, James Cook, Najee Harris, A.J. Brown, Nico Collins

Would it work for you if we started June 3rd?

Which team would you rather have?

Yes. Lamb was the second overall pick just ahead of Tyreek Hill. That's about where he's been going in most mocks I've seen.

Why would a black person vote for Trump

You're right in the sense that I can't ever fully or even mostly insert myself into another's shoes. That would be prejudicial. But, I do think 10x is a stretch in 2024. A big one. Corporate entities will look to hire a minority person over a non-minority in most cases without hesitation if both are qualified. Biden was speaking to highly educated black males. A black man with a college degree doesn't have to then work 10x harder than anyone to get anything. He'll have ample opportunities in 2024.

Why would a black person vote for Trump

Biden said at Morehouse that black men have to work 10x as hard as white men just the break through in the world. Hyperbole much? Good grief.

With my PGA winnings covering the next two tourneys, I am now paid up through the US Open.

I e-mailed Mike this morning to see if that date works for him. Certainly works for me.

What’s the worst fast food chain?

I remember Market Basket from when I lived there as a kid. The one we went to most was also called DeMoula's.

We have three events left, correct? If it's $100 that I win, then just put that towards the Memorial and US Open then. Then, if I don't win anything in those events, I'll just owe $50 more for the British.

I realize this starts in two days. Had my daughter's wedding last week, some court proceedings, and my dad in the hospital to cope with alongside trying to get things done for work. To say I haven't had a lot of extra time for anything would be an understatement. That said, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel, so... Golf's second major of the year with arguably its deepest field as well starts on Thursday. I have always enjoyed the PGA Championship as the actual tournament is often more compelling than both the US and British Opens, and it is the only major I have ever attended in person (on three different occasions). This year, the championship returns to Valhalla (Louisville) where Rory prevailed a decade ago. The following is my top ten predictions two days out, which means they're pretty much final. 1. Xander Schauffele- No one knocks on the door more often. Because Scheffler and Rory are distracted (baby, divorce), I think Xander may get it done this time. 2. Collin Morikawa- If ever a player was built to win @ PGA Championship courses/set-ups, it is Morikawa. I think he'll be in the thick of it right up until the very end. 3. Scottie Scheffler- Even a distracted Scottie is good enough for a top-3 finish. What a dominant year it has been for him so far. 4. Max Homa- I really think Max has figured this thing out with respect to majors. I think he could win the US Open later this summer, but for now, I think he'll shine @ Valhalla, too. 5. Rory McIlroy- I know he played great last week, but personal issues (divorce) have a funny way of impeding progress in a game played mostly between the ears. 6. Tommy Fleetwood- Tommy is a poor man's Schauffele. Consistent in majors...nearly always in the mix. With so many players not playing well right now, hard to overlook him here. 7. Tyrrell Hatton- Gotta put a LIV guy in the top ten and why not Hatton who can score like few others in the professional game. PGA is the scorer's major. 8. Ludvig Aberg- Always concerns me when a guy withdraws from the previous tournament, but Aberg's game is going to have him in my top ten lists for years to come. 9. Byeong Hun-An- A top-ten machine this season, An is a guy to watch on the weekend if he can get off to a good start. 10. Taylor Moore- Every major needs a dark horse. We'll go with Moore this time around.

I used to like Wendy's, but it seems they've gone way downhill since Dave Thomas died.

Well, for once, Ed can't make fun of my predictions too much. I don't think Valhalla will host another PGA anytime soon. No one wants to see -21 as the winning score at a major.

Is second place $125? If so, Ed, you can keep $50 for the Memorial fee and just send me the rest. Thanks!

Irony: I win if I stick to my guns/predictions and take Moore over Harman. Still, second is cool.

    Caitlin Clark debut

As a therapist that works with adolescents, this is absolutely true. Adolescent girls are horrible to each other. They tear each other apart at every turn and social media has only made things ten times worse. I guess it doesn't change much as they get older.

    ***EdEx PGA Championship 2024***

I have been to three PGA Championships and arrived early in the AM on Friday for each. I like going on the second day as you know who the leaders are at that point in time. On a NORMAL day, it's chaotic around the entry gate. There's security everywhere and traffic is being routed all over the place. It's confusing. Add to that this morning that it was still dark and it was raining. This is a gross overreaction by officers on the scene. The whole incident is understandable and I can picture how confusing it would be for a player given that it's generally a chaotic entry to majors to begin with. Charge him with a traffic violation and let's get back to golf. Orange jump suit him? Good grief.
