I wouldn't want Godwin as my WR2. I think he's a good fit on any team, though, for WR3 status.

We're at a good stopping point for now, but I have texted Dan to let him know he's on the clock. He indicated earlier today that he would attempt to make these picks himself, so I think we can give him the rest of the day to do that. That said, if he makes them sooner than that, I will be able to make another pick later today/tonight and we can then advance further in the eighth round as folks are able.

The US Open is set to begin on Thursday . In response, here's the usual thread to further that discussion. Pinehurst #2 in North Carolina is the site of this year's championship and here is my predicted Top Ten with consideration for others noted as well. Should be a great tournament on a tough course! Top Ten: 1. Scottie Scheffler- How can I or anyone else for that matter pick another winner? Best stretch of golf since Tiger in the early 2000s. 2. Collin Morikawa- Played in the final group with Scottie at Augusta and again at the Memorial. Wouldn't surprise at all if that happens again here. 3. Xander Schauffele- Don't think he'll win a second straight major, but he's almost always in the mix. The lack of pressure of having to win his first major should help. 4. Viktor Hovland- Was up and down at the Memorial, but there's no denying how good he looked at Valhalla. Cannot leave him out of my top-five as a result. 5. Cameron Smith- First of two LIV stand-outs in this tournament, I believe. Smith has the right game to contend at US Opens. I look for him to make a run. 6. Bryson DeChambeau- LIV contender, number two. Bryson overpowered Winged Foot a few years back and a case can be made he could repeat that this week. 7. Matthew Fitzpatrick- Rounding back into form just prior to the one major he's already captured. Seems primed for a solid finish come Sunday. 8. Tony Finau- On the short list now of best players out there who haven't yet won a major. Is that major win coming soon? Not sure. But, it keeps him focused. 9. Ludvig Aberg- Hard to pick him higher than this in his very first US Open, but his talent is too tough to completely overlook. 10. Byeong Hun-An- As consistent as they come in 2024. Not likely to contend on the back nine on Sunday, but a top ten seems plausible, if not likely. i don't like the direction that Brooks and Rory are going at the moment. I know Rory torched Quail Hollow, but he has looked distracted ever since. I do have a couple of dark horse picks, but will wait to name those until EdEx draft is over.

Absolutely loved Ray's pick of Swift. Wasn't as high on Brooks as he was and as such, I think Swift will end up being his most productive back by far if he can stay healthy. Considered Swift where I took Aaron Jones. Big time value at this point in the draft.

I would have been willing to put $1000 down on Hawkeye taking Kittle at the turn. If only...

I had forgotten that Shovel already took Stroud. I guess you didn't break his heart after all...
-
If ICE had taken Richardson at 5.10, I was then taking Aaron Jones at 5.11 and Flowers at 6.02. It was hard to pass him up as I think he represents the end of a tier in terms of WR value.
-
That was cold, ICE (pun intended)...talk about crushing Shovel's hopes and dreams for his sixth round pick...
-
Not a reach at all. Murray will look to him early and often with Harrison the only other viable target.

That was the 5/6 turn I had envisioned and was hoping for. I haven't liked my spot thus far as the duo of A.J. Brown and Derrick Henry at the 1-2 turn doesn't have me overly excited. But, I like what just happened here.
