Alts: Lucas Herbert then Mackenzie Hughes

There are extremes on both sides of this, yes. Like listen said, we've confused kids beyond belief. I oppose all the gender identity ideology, but love the kids. And I will not shame them or deny them support just because they've bought into it.
-
Yes, we do. And school personnel, too. They are being taught to affirm whatever a child feels that he/she is and promote use of proper pronouns and such. I run into it all the time...and I live in Oklahoma. I would imagine it's more pronounced in other, more "progressive" states.

Thought about him with each of my last two picks. Could be a sneaky good pick for you.

By adults, I am primarily referring to school personnel and mental health workers. As most know, I am a therapist. A couple of years ago, I started working with a girl who wanted to be called a boy's name and planned to transition to being a boy as soon as possible. She identified as transgender. When she told me all of this, I accepted it as her worldview and neither affirmed it nor tried to convince her it wasn't true. She had lots of trauma in her life that she needed to work through, so we focused on that. For nearly two years. It was a lot and to her credit, she stuck with it. This past year, she was an eighth grader. She wants to be called by her birth (female) name again and is interested in boys. If I had strongly affirmed her wishes to be "transgender", the whole thing might have gone in a different direction. But, I didn't. I just helped her work through all the underlying emotional stuff and she arrived at a place in which her identity was no longer wrapped up in the gender changes. Since, I have worked with several other students in similar situations with the same results. In each case, I make it a point to never shame a student or devalue their perspective on who they are. I just don't affirm it in the sense of stating erroneously that 12-14 year olds have everything figured out. There's the problem. A lot of school personnel and mental health workers are telling these kids that they know best at 12, 13, 14 years old and that they'll fully help them get "transitioned". It is pure lunacy.

Most would...if the adults would leave them alone to work through it on their own. Gender-affirming intervention is impacting this quite a bit.
-
How many teenagers do you interact with? That's where this is being manifested the most by far.
-
That is not a statement about gender and I think you know that. It's a statement about status in the Kingdom of God.

Would've been a great pick...had he not already been picked.

I like one more QB prior to the drop off.

Almost took Kittle @ 5.03. What tremendous value at 5.10.

Ed...money sent.

I had Homa picked higher, but felt Schauffele was safer. Schauffele is a low risk pick. Homa has played great the past few years, but track record in majors isn't nearly as established. That was a hard decision for me.
-
I wasn't accusing you of taking him for those reasons. Just thought for sure I'd get him at 6.05. Arrogance on my part. I don't really think anybody here makes picks based on anyone else's opinion.
-
I don't recall a June Mock before where we've had two high picks of players (Cook, Hopkins) who are free agents still at the time of the draft. I think we've had some late round picks, but it's odd to type that FA after a pick and it makes you wonder what dynamic is driving two players who are still in some semblance of their primes (slightly on the downside, though) still being available for teams.

6.05- Emiliano Grillo

This is why I shouldn't post my top ten for majors in advance. Pick sniped.

Will pay first thing in the AM

5.07- Sepp Straka

Commence to start…

Wanted Sanders or Dobbins. Will settle for Watson's upside. There's another player I really liked here at another position, but I feel that WR tier that Watson is in really drops off after him and another WR to be named later. This is the price of taking Mahomes.

5.03- WR Christian Watson, GB

Wow. Sanders, Hockenson, Dobbins. Talk about great value picks. Gotta love what's here at that turn...
