Yea I know some too. I think Tomlin is a good motivator he just makes bad decisions. They have too many illegal procedures type penalties. His team always lacks discipline. He is loyal to the wrong people to a fault (Matt Canada). I know if they replaced him the next guy could do worse but I just think they need someone else to take them to the next level.

There is little difference between what you are saying and what some people say about math. If you do not learn Algebra it may never affect you but it is good to learn it just in case. My experience was that some students of all races going for an Associates degree could not communicate in a business setting. If they work at Walmart or at a restaurant then they will probably be fine... Maybe. They can speak however they want at home but in a job interview some of the ones that were not forced to learn to communicate in a business environment would not stand much of a chance. I was in on many interviews and that would be an easy disqualification. There were enough people that could communicate and the people that could not were thought as not being intelligent. Fair or unfair that was the case. I just think that they should be forced to learn proper communication and math in school and if they never use either than fine. But in the back of their mind something may stick for when they need it.

I taught Accounting and Info Tech 15-25 years ago at a 2 year jr. college and could not understand what many of my students were trying to say in class. It was more because of the way they pronounced words rather than the slang but it is similar. I used to feel bad because they did not realize they could get their degree but would probably never get through an interview because of the way they communicate. If school is to prepare you for the real world the teacher is doing them a favor but like weepaw said TV and society will undo most of what the teacher is trying to do.

I was not defending anyone and I do not really pay a whole lot of attention to who believes what around here. He did not say most gays are pedophiles. I assume they can be either straight or gay and in this case thinking they were gay is not much of a stretch.
