Barbra Streisand threating to leave the United States if Trump wins...
Bill E. replied to posty's topic in The Geek Club
What if we can get Rosie O'Donnell to leave too? -
Sorry Ed. It is rough and you have my sympathies. I just went through the same with my father (84) a couple weeks ago. He got lung cancer 8 years ago and they got it out with surgery. Lately heart problems and COPD were getting to him. Then they said the cancer was back. He elected to go into hospice and died 2 weeks later. We watched his Notre Dame beat USC on October 14th and he was gone the next morning. He kept asking when he would go and like your Father he was ready. I was in PA the last seven weeks visiting then helping my Mother out. I go home 4 or 5 times a year and got about a month of quality time with him in the end. I hope you did with yours too.

Hate seeing a guy get hurt. Canada must have called that last series for the Titans. Run on 3rd and 8 and heave it out of bounds on 4th.

Yea every other team has had 3 or more games over 400. I do not get it.

I am guessing not Lennon? I do not know of anyone that has seen him. That would have been awesome.

2 of the 4 of the Moodies are dead. Justin Hayward has a small 4 person show where he sings all their hits. John Lodge also tours but Hayward did most off the more mellow stuff. I had Seger tix twice. Once it got canceled for Covid and once my Dad ended up in the hospital so I had to fly home. I saw Chicago last year and was blown away. Only a couple original members but the entire show was great. Cetera was not there but this guy Donnel was really good.

Yea the unplugged album. Natalie Merchant did an album a few years ago Retrospective. The online download version has a bunch of great music not on the CD. I worked in Jamestown NY just after college from '89-'92. 10,000 Maniacs were from there and had hit it big but always came back to Chautauqua Institute to play every year. I saw them there a couple times with and without Merchant. I also saw her there years later doing her solo stuff. She/they have always been one of my favorites though she is a lot flaky.

Not yet but Hamas may be the first and weakest part of a full scale attack. They may be softening them up for Hezbollah and Iran. We will see.

Ilhan Omar breaks down in fit of rage aimed at Biden, Democrat leadership over support for Israel

They would just replace her with Democrats that were smart enough not to say the things she says. Better they leave her in and people in the middle see what kind of idiots they are and vote the other way. -

Right so do not give the 6'oclook news anything. That is Trumps problem. He says something and the media jumps all over it and uses his fender bender to distract from the Democrat's train wreck. Act like adults. Pick a name out of a hat, make them speaker and move on. -

People are not going to listen to a drunk 17 year old holding a beer complaining about crack addicts. Let's be adults instead of the drunk 17 year old. -

Some people in the center do not care. They may hate what the Dems are doing but the look for a reason not to vote for Republicans. Proof is two years ago. The Republicans were set to take the Senate and a large majority in the House when SCOTUS reversed Roe. Like it or not all the celebrating by the Republicans before the election caused a lot of women the were sick of Biden to about face and vote Dem. I am convinced that cost us the Senate and a number of house seats. I could give two shits about the issue but IMO it is a loser for the R's . -

Agree but you can not get to Trump or any other Republican president (I would take any of them) like this. -

Yea but why do they decide look like incompetent idiots a year before the Presidential election? They need all the voters they can get in '24. Every time the Dems shoot themselves in the foot Republicans feel the need to do the same. Why can't they at least pretend to be the adults in the room? -
Hire CDub. He works for an azzhole and is looking.

They are stupid??? What about us? We finally take the House and entertain the country to a sh!tshow. It is hard to criticize the left right now. Who gives a fock who the speaker is as long as it is a R? The Republicans in the House are the real idiots.
