I dropped the ball sorry. I have not been here much this year with all the political threads. Not that i care what anyone thinks i just lost interest. Was going to do a superbowl thread i just forgot. Also it seemed there was less interest than there used to be. I just realized that I forgot to run it while watching the super bowl. I'll do better next year. If I did said donate one to one of the other contests I'm glad to do it just remind me what it was.

Sorry I get swamped around Christmas and have not looked in. i can do a tooth. Will probably try a Superbowl contest too.

I believe he is correct. I do not understand most of what he said after he showed us the busted up folders. They got messed up when he was being chased home by his classmates. Still I am glad that they are still putting out smart kids.

Thanks. I was shocked. I went to bed Thursday after the game and everything was fine outside. I was expecting to get up Friday morning to go diving. I looked out my window Friday morning surprised to see some branches down. Power was out but I figured it would be on soon. Then I looked next door and two big trees were down. If either had fell the other way they would have hit the house. Then I started to hear it all. The worst is a guy I play poker on the island is building a house and they are living in a mobile home on the property until the house is finished. A tree fell on the mobile home and pinned his wife and small child. He was checking on things in the house at the time and heard the crash. He was sure they were dead. He had to break in through a window. They were alive and the kid crawled out but she was pinned. It took hours and several neighbors to get her out. They had to cut the tree with a chainsaw in the middle of the night wind and rain going crazy while she was pinned under the tree. She is fine but what a story.

Thanks for the concern. We lost power for a couple days at the house. Internet and cable is still out. A ton of trees down but none on our property. Power was restored at the condo Friday though so I have been staying here. I feel really bad for everyone hit hard. We never expected all the damage.

The article kind of buried the reason they did not make an endorsement: https://teamster.org/2024/09/teamsters-release-presidential-endorsement-polling-data/ So with the almost 2-1 of their members that voted supporting Trump over Harris they choose as a union not to endorse anyone. My guess is they will commission another poll and the results will flip so they can fall in line and endorse a candidate who was born into a middle class family.
