    I feel so bad for the oil companies, struggling as they do. I don't feel so bad being ass-raped by the price of gas. Oil company execs have to put food on the table too. :(

     

    Exxon Mobil posts $10.49B profit in 3Q

     

    DALLAS - Oil industry behemoth Exxon Mobil Corp. said Thursday its third-quarter earnings rose to $10.49 billion, the second-largest quarterly profit ever recorded by a publicly traded U.S. company. Its shares rose to a 52-week high.

     

    The report comes as high crude prices this year have fueled record profits in the oil industry, triggering an outcry from consumers who were being asked to pay about $3 a gallon for gasoline in early August.rink

    Dems will favor Dems obviously, but independants favor the Dems and the Repubs are having a hard time with their own base. Even the Repubs don't like the Repubs in power.

     

     

     

    WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Voters strongly favor Democratic candidates over Republicans in the November 7 congressional election and harbor growing doubts about the Iraq war and the country's future, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Thursday.

     

    Two weeks before voters decide which party controls the U.S. Congress, Republicans trail Democrats among independents and are still struggling to shore up their base conservative supporters, the poll found.

     

    Democrats have an 11-point edge, 44 percent to 33 percent, when voters are asked which party's candidate they will support, up slightly from a 9-point lead in the last Reuters/Zogby poll a month ago.

    Large majorities give President George W. Bush and the Republican-led Congress negative marks for their job performance and think the country is on the wrong track.

    The simple fact of the matter is that politics in NJ has become a cesspool of slimy, corrupt officals under the Dems. As far as I'm concerned, they have forfeited the right to govern in my state.

    Doesn't matter 'cause the Repubes are much, much worse, not only in NJ, but the whole country. The country is realizing this.

    It is now raining pretty hard here in the Philly area. :lol: But they say tomorrow will be sunny!

    Weird weather day. Good rain this morning, looked like it was clearing up, got blasted by a strong storm about an hour or so ago, now it's getting sunny, the clouds are breaking up, things are drying out, and the wind is pretty crazy.

    You'd panic too if you woke up next to a woman you have NO idea who she is, there's a pizza you don't remember ordering in your fridge and you have no focking CLUE where you left your car.

    Actually, so long as the woman is hot, that sounds pretty good. :banana:

    I love spicy food...but it has to have good flavor too...not just...damn that was hot and tasted like hot sauce.

     

    Thats why I like alot good spicy thai and indian food...the spicyness does not affect the flavor of the food.

     

    Also a good BBQ sauce with a touch of habenero is damn good.

     

    Bull Feathers in Knoxville, TN used to have wings that you had to sign a waiver for before they would serve them. They would give you them free if you could eat them all. Had one...it hurt...buddy ended up with blisters on his tongue. Not good times.

    Bingo. I like spicy where you can still taste the food. A hot sauce that does nothing more than burn your tongue, cause your lips to swell and eyes to water makes no sense to me.
