    Tatum Bell will start!

Do you remember last year when everyone said tht Bell would start over Anderson for sure and Bell was even on the cover of fantasy magazines!

    Fantasy Rookie RB's

Actually ealr word is that Maroney supposedly lacks a lot of skills that are important to NFL RB (1) Blocking, (2) receiving ability. I do like him a lot as a pure runner, but if you can't block in the NFL... you can't play. PPR - I'd have to pick Bush* as my #1. No PPR - I am goign to say it will be close between Bush* and Addai. *** this is if they can get Bush into camp on time... which may be hard.

LenDale White has chance to start

I caught it too scooter, and still can't believe no one else has said anything about it even after you pointed it out Personally, I like players on my teams, both fantasy and real... that can't wait to start playing football. Maybe he's been hangin out with Rasta too much

    USC Football Players

I was wondering what the bored's thoughts are on USC football players and why they all fell below expectations of where they would be drafted. Do people believe that character issues had something to do with it... or were there legitimate concerns about them as football players as far as physical tools are concerned (or both). As a LA sports fan I realize that the country has a lot of "Hate" when it comes to Southern California in general... so did that, combined with recent news that raised character issues about the USC program in general hurt? My take is that it is a bit of both. Leinart had arm strength issues, but no more issues than Vince Young has as a pro QB... so it had to deal with character issues. Winston Justice really had no big physical flaws, and he is a gret example of a clear cut example of a character issue dropping a guy's value (IMO). I get why Houston passed on Bush (Althoguht I wouldn't have done it myself) as they filled another need.

    Bigger Joke in Minnesota

Viking fans should just be happy they got their picks in on time.

    Reggie Bush

In a PPR (redraft) league, Reggie's value may come a bit closer to where he will actually go, but in the end he I think he will go too high. That's especially true for especially since I live in SoCal and have a ton USC fans in my leagues. Still in normal leagues, he will probably go much higher than he should. I am guessing he will be taken in most league's (12 teamer let's say for the sake of argument) around the middle of the third beginning of the 4th.

How long before Leinhart kicks Warner out of town

I'm going to say 6 games. Money aside, Leinart has to be excited about going to the Cardinals with all of the offensive weapons they have... not to mention it's close to home, in a brand new stadium, and he will probably have a decent following (due to a high # of LA transplants in Phoenix).

How long before Texans, Titans and every other GM who passed on Leinhart get fired

It has been reported that both Chow and Fisher were lobbying for Leinart. "And Norm Chow and Jeff Fisher cannot feel pleased about losing their vote in the war room." http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5555304 This appears to be a great example of where football gets ruined. The men in suits have the ultimate say. You have both your head coach and O-coordinator wanting a guy, and you choose a different guy (at the same position)?

    Thomas Jones....New England Patriots ?

My bad. Next round of Valtrex on me

    Thomas Jones....New England Patriots ?

It was an extreme example of where your logic is flawed. You are saying Dillon has been doign it for years and Thomas Jones has one year under his belt. I was saying Larry Johnson has only done it for one year too, while Priest has done it for years. Old adage... you are only as good as your last carry.

Would you take Priest Holmes or Larry Johnson right now?

USC RB Coach: White's Work Ethic Should be Questioned

I thought Carolina was looking at him too?

    Why not DeAngelo Williams

how about in the last two years, 32 games, 1200+ yards a year rushing, 71 rec for 600 yards... Reuben Droughns with a 3 year contract extension for a start (Disclaimer: I do realize they had ginormous troubles punching it in last year.. but I also would suspect Bentley has got to help that a lot.)

Marc Bulger's future in St. Louis?

I agree and disagree to some degree (as a Rams homer as well). I don't think Bulger was necessarily inaccurate, but made poor decisions. I think he can make all the throws if he recovers fully from his latest shoulder injury... which leads me to the biggest concern... he is a tad too small and was put in harms way far too much in Martz offense. I fear the mileage and injuries have caught up with him and while I expect Linehan to protect the QB better... I do not think that Bulger is a long term franchise QB with all of his injuries. So it would not surprise me if they did. That being said... with some defensive studs on the board... I'd be surprised if the Rams picked anything but a defensive player with their first rounder.

    Ronnie Brown

Without knowing the status of Culpepper's rehab, there is no way I would put Brown in the top 10 right now... especially over SJax and Caddy. He did nothing last year to impress me while watching him run. Admittedly I didn't see much of him but I did own him for a couple of weeks (something like 7-10) and wasn't impressed at that time. Caddy definitely ran with a lot more conviction. Jackson is up in the air as far as what he will do... while I like Linehan's track record for running the football, but there are early talks from Linehan of utilizing Marshall more.

    Thomas Jones....New England Patriots ?

I think people are selling TJ a bit short in here. Now I am not saying that one year makes a running back, but last year he simply was an ELITE back (real life, not fantasy necessarily). He faced 8 man fronts all year and ran behind a decent, but nowhere near spectacular OLine... and in my opinion was one of the very best RB's in the league last year. He looked way better than Dillon that's for sure.

    Reggie Bush video

My take after watching every game he played in college... Bush at a minimum will be as effective as Warrick Dunn. Those who are saying that he will be like Warrick Dunn act like that is a bad thing... last time I checked Warrick Dunn was very good. He could be a maximum of something better than LT. Put it this way... he had a 177 of yards on offense and a TD against a very tough college defense in the Rose Bowl... and that was a bad game by his standards.

    Favre speaks out about McNair

Which was basically my point. The reasons for which Favre is being bashed by several people in here has nothing to do with this thread. AS for him not commenting on stuff the players union can handle... the players union had already filed a grievance so he is just backing up that up. In other words, this thread is really about taking shots at Fav-rey.

    Antonio Gates

Gates started blowing up in his 2nd year. In what I regard as speculation that seems very likely to be true, he did not do much in his rookie season because he had not played organized football since high school (he played basketball in college). He had the physical skills, just not the refinement. After he got back in the swing of things we all know what happened next. If you are wondering about Vernon Davis, he can absolutely have a big time impact should he fall into the right situation.
  20. RamslovaMartzhata

    Vernon Davis

On whatever team he goes to, no... on a great deal of teams yes. He does have blocking technique issues that he was able to get away with due to superior athletic ability in college that is definitely a concern. It's too early to tell though.

    Jets thinking about Reggie Bush

Should this happen, the interesting question is would Houston look to try and fill needs and take either Mario Williams or Brick (Assuming one of them is there) with the #4... or do they take the hometown kid in Young?

    Favre speaks out about McNair

I think people need to stop making news out of nothing. Last time I checked, this is America and both freedom of speech and honesty are things that I advocate. In this specific case, I completely agree with what he said and think that anyone who gives a stink about this has ulterior reasoning.

How do people feel about Detroit?

I agree with you on one thing.. teh Rams Defense that year is too easily overlooked.. I beleive they were the #3 D. But as far as everythign else you are saying... Who cares about who built the team? What does that have to do with the discussion? You do realize that Martz is just the offensive cooridnator for Detroit, and not the head coach or GM, right? You do realize that the Lions have drafted three receivers in the first round of the draft in the past couple of yreas, right? You do realize that John Kitna comes in with a lot more credibility than Warner or Bulger came in with, right? And that grocery store bagger that leaned so heavily on a HOF back like you said, all he did was win the NFL MVP that year while throwing for over 4300 yards and 41 TD's in one of th emost prolific years for a QB ever in the NFL. You may be right in that Martz gets little too much credit, but it is quite obvious you are not giving him nearly enough. How can you explain that Kevin Curtis subs in and doesn't miss a beat. Or how about Az Hakim going to other teams and not amounting to anything. The answer is simple - system. You are arguing against Martz the head coach, please try and keep your eye on the ball
  25. RamslovaMartzhata

How do people feel about Detroit?

Martz took over as the Rams offensive coordinator in 1999 under head coach ###### Vermeil, when the Rams won the superbowl. Warner came out of nowhere, I believe Holt was either a rookie or second year, and Bruce was past his prime. Martz is highly respected around the league for his offensive mindset. It was a cinderella story unlikely to be duplicated, but you also can't argue with the Rams offensive track record with martz as their Offensive Coordinator either... and I am talking about fantasy here.
