In a league where I only need to start one RB.... Went 0 RB theory and have crap RBs in a 17 man roster other than hope for Arian Foster... Maybe Blount. Obviously my outdated tag means I am a Rams fan. Thinking about picking up Cunningham in a .05 ppr and starting over Alfred Blue for the fun homer factor. Not as scared of Seattle's run D as others are. TDs are harder to come by but I think Bennie is a safe bet for 60 yards and a couple receptions with some upside past that. More worried about who to drop... Probably would be Matt Jones or David Johnson who both passed the eye test for me. My other RB is Reggie Bush. All certainly have higher ceilings than Bennie but for some reason I just like him. I won't do it.... But I want to

Start a QB to cancel out opposing WR's
RamslovaMartzhata replied to Go long's topic in FFToday Board
So what you are saying is if I am facing Marshall owner this week and I am choosing between Cutler and Romo... I should never bench Stephen Davis? -
Tolbert has scored a TD in 4 straight games. Anyone in starting him in a pinch? I think he's a viable bye week fill-in (I mean he should never be benched)... especially in ppr leagues.

NFL rant: the slide rule is dangerous and dumb
RamslovaMartzhata replied to highsider5's topic in FFToday Board
Not being able to slide is Hoyers fault, not the NFLs. Some coaches actually have drills for it. I remember seeing a piece where they brought out a slip n slide in camp... The players all had a hoot with it. -
Classic late game vs early game backups issue for me. Anyone know if he is going to play this afternoon?

Guys the Chiefs arent that good... believe me
RamslovaMartzhata replied to snatchit's topic in FFToday Board
I think they are that good. Reminds me if the Niners and when Harbough took over. Had talent but needed better coaching and QB stability and was in a division where there's room to win. They'll make the playoffs -
Bradford is a timing QB that gets the ball out well in short to intermediate routes. If something disrupts that timing... He can be off. So that puts the onus on two things going right for Rams players to have good games. I think it will either be Austin in the slot or Cook having good games... With a couple goose eggs by the whole lot of them.

After last night's performance, I think the Pats should renege their line-up

Falcons fans, come in here. I got something to say about our False Superstar QB
RamslovaMartzhata replied to track 1's topic in FFToday Board
I can't give this the OP any credibility until he states what tools Ryan is missing. Game managing, accuracy, release, arm strength and intangibles are all things that I feel Ryan possesses. Mobility is nice, but far down the list. Just ask the best in the business aside from Rodgers how important mobility is. All Ryan did last year was pass for 400 yards in the conference championship game last year against the best defense in the league, and take a huge lead only to see his defense totally blow it. -
Things I hate about the new NFL
RamslovaMartzhata replied to Giants' Nicks = Plax who?'s topic in FFToday Board
I will take the previous play is under review over blown calls left and right all day That being said... I don't know why the NFL just doesn't go to a replay official up in the booth to overturn a call. I believe on the field officials can be swayed by home crowds where a nameless faceless guy behind tinted glass can be more impartial. -
Reggie Bush hurting Megatron's value?
RamslovaMartzhata replied to Redzonehog's topic in FFToday Board
I think people are being a little too hard on Calvin for that first TD. This was not like the other issue... he had two hands on the ball and simply lost control / dropped it when it hit the ground. He was trying to score... and he probably wouldn't have otherwise. That being said... catching the ball is always the priority and if I was a Lions fan I'd be more mad about that. As a fantasy fan... it was a drop, plain and simple. Had he not reached out and score and caught the ball, then there probably would not have been a TD... so either way it doesn't affect much. In fact i like him reaching out. -
Glazer reported that he has yet to cut on it since he injured it in the 2nd preseason game. That means he hasn't been running routes in practice to me. I'm pulling him in my two leagues I own him in, in favor of Austin (Tavon in one league... Miles in another).

If you have a player you drafted in the first 6 or so rounds on the Saints or Falcons... Play all of them this weekend. There may be 100 points scored in the game
-
Officially it's your opponent who's coming from behind
-
Brees, Rodgers, Peyton, Brady. I really didnt understand why Brees and Rodgers had that much of a higher ADP than Manning and Brady. Those guys are all awesome and anyone of them could lead fantasy in scoring.
-
How many weeks is your regular season? If its 13... Then definitely no go.
-
Are you talking about your opponent, or you?

i cant take people seriously if they play in a 10 team or less league
RamslovaMartzhata replied to track 1's topic in FFToday Board
I can't take anyone seriously who takes fantasy football too seriously -
A guy like Cam who rushes a lot.... A lot of times in short yardage looks... I would have a capable back up personally.

Shane Vereen Offseason hype....real or fluke?
RamslovaMartzhata replied to CornKobb's topic in FFToday Board
I hope Vereen lives up to the hype. Right now I have the tough decision of starting 2 of these players in my flex .5ppr league (with return yards scoring... 1 pt per 25yds ko, 1 pt per 10yds punt, 6pt TDs): Vereen Tavon Austin TY Hilton Miles Austin (DeAngelo Williams). I have a feeling this is going to be one of those years where I am going to lose myself a lot of games... I see these 4 guys putting up about the same amount of points in my league. Does Vereen handle any return duties? -
Am I the only one completely sold on andre Johnson?
RamslovaMartzhata replied to svtballa's topic in FFToday Board
I am sold on him. People look at stats and situation too much. In the real world the tiers of WRs goes like this: Calvin Johnson AJ, AJ Greene, and Fitz Everyone else. He is a bit of an injury concern... But I'll take my chances on a guy who has every chance to catch 100 balls. -
I have. Real regular season football that is. I guess you didn't see Helu run the ball 150 times in his rookie season or see any of Morris' games last year when he was among the leaders in all rushing categories (2nd in rush yards, 2nd in TD's, third in broken tackles and yards after contact and 5th in ypc). You guys act like Helu is a rookie who has never played in the NFL. Maybe then you'd get the clues.
-
I handcuffed Helu to Morris... But with all due respect, I haven't the faintest clue what you are talking about. Helu has shown nothing to indicate he is the more talented back (in the NFL), while Morris absolutely has. I just want to temper any expectations to Helu owners expecting anything out of him... It will take a Morris injury for Helu to have any value.

There are two types of coaches... Ones that take players and try and fit them into a system. Others take the players and build a system around them. The reason the Pats have been a TE friendly system is because they had a great QB and two great TE's. they weren't TE friendly when Moss was there and they weren't TE friendly when defense was winning them Championships. If Gronk comes back and stays reasonably healthy... Sudfield will be bye week filler. Their talent is a young WR corp and a versatile Vereen.

Surprised not more love for Ray Rice
RamslovaMartzhata replied to uwilose123's topic in FFToday Board
I'd put Rice at #2 in a ppr and either #2 or #3 in a standard scoring league as a safe solid pick. Sure he may not have a sexy upside of 2,000 rushing yards and 20 TD's, but the guy is as good as they come.... and more important than anything, does not get hurt. Too many people take chances early on in their draft. I prefer to have some safe picks early on and take chances in the middle rounds.
