I guess its confusing because Trump said the files were written by Hillary and Obama and a hoax, and threatened to back a primary challenge against MJT and others if they signed the discharge petition … until last weekend, when he did a complete 180 and said the files do exist and Congress should vote to release them! I’m also confused as to why he doesn’t just release them right now? And why, if the files were forged or tampered with, we’re not investigating the hoax? Those are my major points of confusion.

If Trump wanted them released, why was he urging congressional Reps to vote against releasing them? Why hasn’t he released them already? He doesn’t need congressional approval? The mental gymnastics you go through to avoid seeing the obvious is just Olympic.

As of last week he was telling everyone to move on an pressuring GOP reps to vote against releasing the files. He changed his tune when he realized the House would vote for it.
