I still think decriminalizing drugs is a good idea, but that’s only going to work if 1) you’ve got all the rehab/detox resources at the ready to treat addition like a health issue vs. a criminal justice issue and 2) you’re decriminalizing country-wide, otherwise the junkies descend to n the one place where it’s basically legal. It won’t ever work otherwise.

I am uniformly anti rape, regardless of the denomination of the rapist.

I don’t mind re-usable bags, it’s easier to pack and carry than the usual paper and plastic. But it’s pretty stupid that I have to use recyclable bags but I can buy fruits, vegetables etc. that are out of season and flown across the world to my store. As usual only the customer is inconvenienced.

It was kind of incredible that Trump only won Texas by 52% to 46.5% in 2020. That’s a worrying trend for Republicans - hard to win a general if the Dems start with 120+ electoral votes in the bag (NY, CA, TX).
