I agree they were pretty evenly matched, which makes Whiner fans claiming that they absolutely would have won with Purdy a laugh. If they don’t win this year we’ll hear about how SF won the Shoulda Woulda Bowl for another offseason.

Good shot sure. But many 49ers fans are saying they WOULD have won that game if Purdy didn’t get hurt. Which is sort of laughable since Philly was much better last year, SF wasn’t quite as good, and protecting your QB is part of the game. We’ll see this year. In the minds of quite a few Niner fans they absolutely should have won the SB last year and are the class of the league with not one but 2 MVPs, so anything short of a chip should be seen as a colossal choke job.

I know you didn’t ask me, but I think Dallas missed someone to fill the Zeke role more than they missed Zeke himself. A short yardage move the pile guy who could handle 10 plus carries a game and help bleed clocks. Pollard is a fantastic change of pace guy but he was much less efficient with more carries. Im surprised they didn’t give Rico Dowdle a bigger role.
