I’m a longtime fan of Chapelle dating back to his show. There are no doubt people bashing his show because they don’t like the subject matter. There are also people defending him only because they like trans jokes. But his new show is objectively not that funny.

Agreed. It took 5 minutes to get to every punchline. Dave is 50 and it shows. We watched a standup by Stavros Halkias on Netflix afterward. It was much much funnier.

I watched it last night. It was just OK - definitely not Dave’s best but I laughed a few times. There were a handful of trans and disabled jokes that weren’t offensive but also not that funny. Nothing to get worked up about. Id give it a B-.
