Hills Have Eyes and Evil Dead reboot from 2013 or so were solid, albeit 10+ years old now. I generally agree with you but had high hopes for EDR because of the glowing reviews. There are plenty of great new non reboot horror movies today, they’re just not big budget Hollywood films.
