    CJ2K 4 yr 53.5m...30m guaranteed

I did the same thing man... now i am trying to trade MJD paired with Josh Freeman to get Vick... we'll see what happens I definitely think CJ is a top 3 pick in all formats however... if you are worried about injury.. pick up Ringer in the 10th round.. and if after 3 weeks CJ is looking great which is what will most likely happen... than drop Ringer and pick up a player who has done awesome off the waiver wire wherever you have a weakness

    Mark Clayton

Rams re-signed WR Mark Clayton to a one-year contract. It's bad news for Danario Alexander, who is believed to have practice squad eligibility remaining. Clayton, 29, was not signed to this point because his 2010 ruptured patella tendon had not completely healed. It's unclear if he'll be 100 percent early in the season, but the signing indicates that the Rams plan to have Clayton on their Week 1 roster. He's joining a jumbled depth chart. Clayton will have to overtake at least Donnie Avery and either Mike Sims-Walker or Brandon Gibson to enter three-receiver sets. Aug 31 - 4:03 PM Per Rotoworld that is the biggest sleeper news i have heard yet this year in the WR department.. he was shaping up to have an awesome season last year with Bradford before he went down Week 1 16.9 points (10 receptions, 119 yds) Week 2 15.4 points (2 receptions, 24 yds, 2 tds) Week 3 11.0 points (5 receptions, 85 yds) Week 4 9.7 points (5 receptions, 72 yds) Week 5 he was injured... However through those 4 weeks, which were pretty consistant.. he was on pace for 88 receptions, 1200 yds, and 8 tds... those are great numbers for a WR 2... especially if they pick up where they left off and he continues to be Bradford's favorite target DEFINITELY NEED TO KEEP A CLOSER EYE ON THIS ONE... What are some thoughts on this situation?? Rams homers?

    Chris Johnson signs new deal!

Lol not for me...but definitely for plenty of others for some reason... there was no way this guy would miss time in the prime of his career he is too cocky.. regardless this is still good news if your an owner...

    Carson Palmer

Carson Palmer still hasn't filed retirement papers with the NFL. Palmer doesn't want to retire. He just wants to play for a team other than the Bengals. Palmer is on the reserve/did not report list, which exposes him to fines of $30,000 per day. He still holds a degree of leverage, though, as he could report days before the season opener. The Bengals would then have to decide whether to cut Palmer or pay his $11.5 million salary. Owner Mike Brown would almost certainly pay it if forced to make a decision. Aug 23 - 9:56 PM Source: Profootballtalk on NBCSports.com Has anyone heard anything else... He obviously does not want to retire.. so what is his next step???? I think he shows up and puts the ball in the Bengals court..

    Reggie Bush Update

yea same here... if healthy he will be similar to Hightower/Felix Jones and huge in PPR formats as a #3/ Borderline #2 RB

    Whats up with Lance Moore?

Thanks fellas... i have him in both leagues .. definitely will have to keep a close eye

    Whats up with Lance Moore?

Anyone heard any details?? Is it serious? or just taking pre-cautions for the regular season??
  8. our league is set up where you get .5 PPR... as much as I would love to get a Top WR in the first round.. i am not so sure who I would take in the 2nd... none of the guys you consistently run into are that enticing Frank Gore (Injury Concerns, Crap Offense, Not a lot of TD's) Averages about 50 receptions a year Matt Forte (Inconsistent, Barber there to vulture TD's and probably Receptions, not a big TD guy anyways and struggled at the goal line) Averasged about 50 receptions in past years Stephen Jackson... (believe it or not is the guy I like the most out of this bunch.. with Josh McDaniels there to open things up more for him, Bradford with a year under his belt, and Cadillac Williams to keep him fresh I think his numbers improve this year, and he gets closer to 10 TD's in a better offense....) Averages about 50 receptions in past years, did have one year though with 90 receptions Michael Turner... (Not as good in PPR, getting close to the breaking point.. I still think he has 1 good year left in him, but I would definitely grab Snelling for insurance) than after that... it would really be a reach to grab some of the other "hot commodities" this year.. You could grab another Top WR.. but than you would be scrambing to get RB's in rounds 3 and 4 (A lot of the "Maybe's") So for anyone else who is faced with this decision who would you go with?? Mendenhall/Blount are Keepers

    James Starks?

anyone heard anything?? If this were true... this could be huge to pick him up
  10. Yea Hillis will be kept in like the 9th round... so no option there

    The Chris Johnson Problem

i have the 9th pick.. and i am afraid of the same thing.. RB's are the most important position because they are so very few sure things nowadays.. you can't really play around with your first 4 picks.. you really have to take 2 RB's.. cause everyone else will and than you'll be left with a lot of "Maybe's" at the position
  12. looks like the real deal
  13. DeaLerZ

    The Chris Johnson Problem

Honestly.. I have the 9th pick in a 12 Team PPR draft... and that is the perfect spot to land him i believe... i will just make sure that i grab Javon Ringer a little earlier than his ADP to make sure I have the Titans RB

Cam Newton had a sick 16 yd td run!

did you watch any of his games thus far?? everything Joey Gladstone said is pretty right on... he did a good job when he was under pressure, and even made a few great plays out of nothing (Including the 16yd TD run, which this whole post was about)... he DID not turn the ball over, when other QB's probably would have in some of the situations the offensive line left him in...he had a couple of sacks where he somehow managed to hold on to the ball with little effort... His overall Passing performance thus far has been poor I will agree ... but he hasn't had Steve Smith in camp for most of pre-seson and that offense is twice as good with him in the line-up... he obviously still has a lot to learn.. but Cam seems more like a guy that learns as he goes.. the more he plays the better he will get... he has obvious talent if you watch the games, just a little rough around the edges and YES he did thread the needle on several of his passes thus far in pre-season when he stepped into his throws they were very accurate.. but like i said earlier.. he throws off of his back foot too much and needs to work on his mechanics, he obviously developed a few bad habits because they always worked for him at the collegiate level, but they won't at this level to say that Cam Newton "ain't got it. And thats the end of that." is a little pre-mature as the season hasn't even started yet, and he has barely had a month to practice... if he has 2 td's and 20 int's by mid season than I will agree with you.. but everyone knows the QB position takes time to develop...

Cam Newton had a sick 16 yd td run!

read the rest of what i said... couldn't agree more
  16. DeaLerZ

Cam Newton had a sick 16 yd td run!

yea... and add on about 16 int's and we are probably about right on with that... but that is definitely an interesting way of looking at things... by mid season when he starts to get a little more in sync with his WR's and improves on his mechanics i definitely think he could have value as a #2 QB
  17. DeaLerZ

Cam Newton had a sick 16 yd td run!

hah.. you just take one thing i said in the whole post and try to make my post look like i am a moron..... and read everything i say before wasting my time
  18. DeaLerZ

    Knowshon Moreno or Reggie Bush

yea and most of those TD opportunities will go to McGahee
  19. DeaLerZ

Cam Newton had a sick 16 yd td run!

when he steps up and throws and shows good mechanics throwing off of his front foot he is as accurate as anyone... but he throws too many backyard football passes... hasn't realized that those work about 10% of the time in the NFL... once he starts doing those things better.. i think he will really be a good QB.. he has shown great poise in the pocket... hasn't had any turnovers thus far in pre-season.. and looks about as unstoppable as Vick when he runs...
  20. DeaLerZ

Cam Newton had a sick 16 yd td run!

definitely agree with that... but he is a monster out there (size wise hah).. by mid season I think he will start putting up some decent numbers... still has a lot to learn another 24 yd run!!

    Brandon Lloyd on the rise?

I agree with everything you have said... but I still think he will put up solid WR #2 numbers... Orton has great chemistry with him and there is no one else to challenge him in that department... is he going to produce like he did last year?? no way... but i have seen him fall as late as the 7th round in some drafts.. and that is real value for a guy like him
  22. DeaLerZ

    Brandon Lloyd on the rise?

haha none of us are in the same league... just trying to help everyone who reads this board out
  23. DeaLerZ

    Brandon Lloyd on the rise?

Keep this to yourself... but a change in coaching style doesn't mean ######... i'll tell you why ...for some reason no one has brought this up, so i figured i would These are all years under John Fox.... who apparently doesn't ever let his QB throw the ball 2003 Steve Smith 88 Receptions, 1110 Yds, 7 Tds 2004 Muhsin Muhammad (#1 Fantasy WR and Steal of the Year) 94 Receptions, 1,405 Yds, 16 Tds 2005 Steve Smith (16 Games) 103 Receptions, 1,563 Yds, 12 Tds Led the league in Rec, Yards, and Touchdowns 2006 Steve Smith (14 Games) 83 Receptions, 1,166 Yds, 8 Tds 2007 Steve Smith (15 Games) 87 Receptions, 1,002 Yds, 7 Tds 2008 Steve Smith (14 Games) 78 Receptions, 1,421 Yds, 6 Tds This whole coaching thing doesn't make too much sense to me... because WR's definitely have put up great numbers with a much worse QB....Brandon Lloyd has a good QB, one much better than Jake Delhomme... John Fox loves to use the Play-Action Pass... you don't think Brandon Lloyd will benefit from that??? I can see him easily getting 80 Receptions, 1,200 Yds, 6-10 Tds... Great #2 WR Numbers.. and even better value for where you can get him in the draft
  24. Totally agree with this post... From the mocks i have done when i have taken a chance and gone WR/WR or QB/WR in the first two rounds... I have really struggled to feel comfortable with the RB's that i ended up with On the other hand when i have drafted a RB/WR or WR/RB in the first two rounds based on what feel to me and drafting based on valu first and acknowledging position next... Which in my opinion a top RB and a top WR are the most important thing to have on any team because of a little thing called "consistancy"... QB's consistancy is just as important but there is a much larger pool to choose from... Best strategy i have found is RB/WR or vise versa in the first two rounds... Than grab a QB/WR in round 3 based on personal preference... Than snag a top TE in rd 4 agagain because of the lack of players that are "consistant" at the position... Than load up on WR's and RB's (from the many guys with upside this year as #2 RB's including guys like Hightower, Bush, Best, D.williams, R.grant, F.Jones and so forth) or grab a QB such as freeman, stafford,S.Bradford, E. Manning if you missed out on one of the top QB's... Take a defense as early as the 9th to get one of the top defenses... Than spend the rest of the draft loading up on RB's with a chance at being a starter and sleeper WR's such as D.Amendola/L.Moore later on in the draft Dont waste your time drafting a kicker at all... Spend it on a sleeper and watch your players in pre-season... Pick a kicker up right before season starts.. Plenty of good consistant kickers A draft based on value will lead you to the playoffs every year...
