    It's That Time Again

Damn you!!! I was going to say that.

Does one of your FF leagues use a KR/PR position?

It doesn't happen very often. It's one of those freak things that I think makes FF more fun. There's only 1 or 2 players that you might start that would also score a TD on a return. Cribbs? Hester? If you're starting these guys at WR, then you've got some problems anyway. And you have to start their DST as well. So, if you have the stones to start Cleveland's DST and Josh Cribbs as the same time, and hope that Cribbs returns a kick for a TD, I say you deserve a double dip.

That's kind of a buzz kill.

Why not give the points to both? If you start them, and they score a TD, you should get the points.

    Those wacky Hoosiers...

Well, that's just plain old un-American. Kind of like allowing someone to finish assraping you, knowing that you can hire a lawyer to sue them later on.

    Those wacky Hoosiers...

Link INDIANAPOLIS -- People have no right to resist if police officers illegally enter their home, the Indiana Supreme Court ruled in a decision that overturns centuries of common law. The court issued its 3-2 ruling on Thursday, contending that allowing residents to resist officers who enter their homes without any right would increase the risk of violent confrontation. If police enter a home illegally, the courts are the proper place to protest it, Justice Steven David said. "We believe ... a right to resist an unlawful police entry into a home is against public policy and is incompatible with modern Fourth Amendment jurisprudence," David said. "We also find that allowing resistance unnecessarily escalates the level of violence and therefore the risk of injuries to all parties involved without preventing the arrest." I thought this was a joke the first time I heard about it, but sadly, it's not.

  9. Don't bust your logic on me.
  10. I don't recall who came up with it, but I remember someone coming up with a plan that gave a million dollars to every American citizen over the age of 50 with a few stipulations: - You must retire. - You must buy a new American made car. - You must buy a house. - You can't collect social security benefits. - You can't collect medicare benefits. The US has 40 million people over age 50. 40 million x 1 million = $4 billion. I'm sure there's a logical reason it wouldn't work, but I can't think of what it is.

    Good news for you geeks

    So what's plan B?
  13. I'm torn on this one. What Benson said is absolutely correct - Palmer can't come back. He's a good guy and all, and I think that most folks in Cincy realize the circus atmosphere he's trying to get away from. However..... He signed a contract to play for this team, and I'm siding with Mike Brown on this one. Secondly, he's not as good as his contract says he is. He had a few good years, but he's mediocre at best. Don't ask him to hit a WR on the fly. Also, he's the one that begged management to sign TO.

The NFL and Player's Union Discussion Thread

Instructed by whom? The Bungles gave AJ Green a playbook immediately. Then he "took it upon himself" to make a copy for Dalton after the lockout was reinstated.

Thanks For All This Water You Yankee Fawkers

    Can't argue with that.
  16. That's why we always get to see the stupid dog and pony show in congress every time gas prices go up. "Why are you gouging the American people?!!!!" "We're not. It's the same profit margin we've had for the last century or so." "Well...........fock off then." "Thank you. Fock you too." "....yeah, you know. See you next time."

You should move. I'll bet that you can find pretty cheap land inside of a dormant volcano. Or maybe you could build a house that straddles the San Andreas fault line.

Wanna feel sad about the future of our planet?

http://whyfiles.org/091beach/5.html The EPA's project manager on sea level rise doesn't know what's going to happen and a geologist with 40 yrs experience says we only have 5000 years before catastrophic ice sheet meltdown.

How many beers do you drink in an average night?

6-8 beers, sometimes more if there's vodka involved.
  20. I'd have rather seen Granderson take his own bat to city council and knock some sense into them. Aluminum bats have been around for, like I don't know............EVER!! and to now deem them "unsafe" is simply asinine. You know what's going to happen..........tree huggers will start complaining about the wood bats. And then the only thing left will be plastic - oh what a minute, NY banned wiffleball too. Sorry, no baseball for you.

Does anyone actually utilize their fly?

I always use the fly. If you unbutton, unzip and undo the belt, then when you're done, you have to hold your tie out of the way while you reconfigure and rebutton. Then your shirt's all focked up because you undid your pants. Complete pain in the ass. Just unzip, whip it out, and zip it up.

Which QB will be most successful?

The great thing about these receivers, is that they all run after the catch. The problem the bengals have had for the last few years is that they complete the pass and the receiver just falls down. I may be overly optimistic here, but I think that Dalton is exactly what the Bengals need right now. Palmer was Kosar-esque in his pocket movement last year. Since the pass protection will, at best, be similar to last year, a more mobile QB with quick accurate throws is exactly what they need. Fantasy wise, I don't rally see any of the Bengals receivers going crazy. You're talking 5 different guys that could have a huge game any one week.

Good Story in the NY Times

Speaking of that...wouldn't you think that some lackey in the FBI or CIA would have been assigned the job of watching satellite photos of Pakistan's military bases? and if so, wouldn't they notice a one acre complex with 12' walls being assembled a mere 1000 yards away?
  24. I generally dislike everything Obama does, however he was one cool cucumber over the weekend. I was watching one of the trash mag shows the other day where they showed Seth Meyers joking about the inability to find bin laden, and Obama just laughed it off as the usual BS. That took some focking stones, knowing he'd just recently signed off on it.
