    Snopes

Snopes is run by Barbara and David Mikkelson, a California couple who met on the alt.folklore.urban newsgroup. What makes these two cats the freakin experts on everything?
  2. That may be true, but a rule is a rule (thinking of the Billy Martin pine tar incident ) Why have the rule if you're not going to enforce it? If NE can use some obscure rule to their advantage, why can't BAL and IND use a common one to theirs?

    Sales people only allowed

You could also move to NY or Boston. But, that would probably suck for you. There is a reason that the top sales people live in those types of markets.

    Rob Bironas - ded

Speaking of Steve McNair, I'm reminded of this...http://deadspin.com/5366449/steve-mcnair-murder-scene-an-ill-advised-halloween-display I never saw what the big deal was - it'd already been like 2 months at that point. Sheesh.

    AP is a child abuser

Forgive me if I missed it..... but why isn't this episode considered an act of domestic violence? Shouldn't AP now be suspended for at least 6 games?

    Breaking Bad: The final episodes

I'm thinking that Jessie and Walt might still be in cahoots. I kept waiting for Walt to give Jessie the nod to blast both Hank and Gomie, but it never came. And then the reference to the "first place they ever cooked" - it seems to me that back in the day they parked the RV way out in the open desert, not in some enclosed area like where they are now. I just don't recall them ever cooking in an area that ever looked like that area. Maybe "first place they ever cooked" is code for something?

    Official scoring question

According to rule 10.05(e), when a batted ball hits a baserunner, the result is a dead ball, the runner is out and the batter is credited with a base hit. Is the batter still credited with a hit if there are 2 outs with the baserunner becoming the 3rd out?

    Official scoring question

That would make sense, but where does it say that in the rules?
  10. I've got an Adams hybrid club that developed a small crack on top of the head a few years ago. Every so often this nasty sticky goo would slowly ooze out. It was annoying but that hard to clean up. about a year and a half ago I had shoulder surgery and haven't touched my golf bag until today. A whole bunch of that nasty goo has leaked out all over my bag and onto the other clubs. It's like super glue napalm. The question is what the hell is this crap and what do I use to clean it up?
  11. For the amount of influence these three companies have on peoples' lives, it's amazing to me that that have not been more lawsuits. It doesn't appear to me that any of the three really give a fock whether they are correct or not, yet pretty much any company that deals with finance depends on the information.

Use of the lawn chair in wiffleball

I've always assumed it was a common practice to use a regular lawn chair as a "catcher" while playing wiffleball, but apparently I'm way off. If the ball hits any part of the chair, it's a strike. If the ball lands in the chair, you're out. Isn't that standard?

Use of the lawn chair in wiffleball

It's a simple focking question. Is the lawn chair a strike or not.

    The Americans

Within the first 60 minutes of the series, she was seen suckin cack, gettin raped, and going at it in the front seat of a late '70s land yacht.

**Official** KSB's Head Tee Ball Coach

Don't expect any of your mad baseball skills to come into play anytime soon. You might as well consider yourself a short-term daycare provider until you get well into your 3rd or 4th year with the kids. The kids suck, the parents suck, and you'll wonder WTF you just got roped into. Don't get discouraged though. The payoff is huge. The kids become sponges and you'll be amazed at how quickly they turn the corner from barely understanding the game to being an actual team.

    Defensive scoring thoughts

I run this system on CBS. Add in what you want for sacks, INT's, safetys, etc... Mine is a relatively high scoring league, though (average score is about 130). It's not unheard of for a DST to score 60, but that same DST could score negative points the following week. Scoring for Defensive Categories Points Against Defense/ST 1 - 29 DSTPAs = -0.5 points for every 1 DSTPA 30 - 99 DSTPAs = -1 point for every 1 DSTPA Plus a 20 point bonus @ 0+ DSTPA YDS Yards Allowed 0 - 150 YDSs = 0 points for every 1 YDS 151 - 999 YDSs = -.08 points for every 1 YDS Plus a 15 point bonus @ 0+ YDS

I'd have to kick my own arse if I wasted a bunch of cash on some sparkling wine. You're married. Buy her a decent leaf blower.

    Howdy

I have this little running joke with my wife whenever she mentions a foreign country as a potential tourist destination, "There's always that chance you'll end up in Mexican prison." Doesn't matter what country you go to. Why the fock would you even attempt to hunt in Costa Rica? Do you have some sort of a death wish? I just don't understand what would compel someone to think it's a good idea to go hunting in another country.

It's OK to fire a woman because she's just too hot

One would think that one of the perks of owning your own business is that you get to choose who works for you, and who doesn't, regardless of their skills. There's this whole definition of "your business", and that's kind of why you do it.

So happy this season is over

"Hear them Bengals growlin' (grrr) mean and angery....." It's got to be a tough day for you. The playoff bound Bengals messin up the Stillers playoff hopes and all. And I won my FF Championship today. "I gotta say it was a good day"

    AP vs Foster

I played against that guy today. Smoked them. It was awesome. Jamal Charles and Reggie Bush > Foster and Peterson
  23. Link "About 10:55 p.m. EDT on May 14, 1988, a pickup truck traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 71 struck head-on a church activity bus traveling southbound in the left lane of the highway near Carrollton, Kentucky. As the pickup truck rotated during impact, it struck a passenger car traveling southbound in the right lane near the church bus. The church bus fuel tank was punctured during the collision sequence, and a fire ensued, engulfing the entire bus. The bus driver and 26 bus passengers were fatally injured. Thirty-four bus passengers sustained minor to critical injuries, and six bus passengers were not injured. The pickup truck driver sustained serious injuries, but neither occupant of the passenger car was injured." I don't recall the amount of national media attention back in the day, but it's still a big deal around here every May 14th.

    ANOTHER shooting today

Prolly because it's relatively rare that a white guy murders someone. Yes, the mass murderer tends to be a white guy, and when it happens we tend to lump all of the murders together so that we can say that the US is just some gun crazy baby killing nation - just look at the numbers. Separate all of the white mass murders from the everyday black on black murders, and then run the numbers. I'll bet there's more B on B murders nationwide in one typical week than all the mass murder victims combined. Also, Ft. Hood shooter = not white VA Tech shooter = not white DC Sniper = not white
