Good to see another huntsvillian! Would you be willing to pay for a cleaned up FF Today?

I have been a regular member here for quite a while (was watsondog88 at first back in 99 or 01 I think). I don't post often but when I do I try to be useful (except for an unfortunate post earlier this week for which I still feel regretful). When it comes down to it, this is a free site. It's popularity has caused it to grow thus causing the useless information to multiply exponentially. Until this site becomes a pay site, it will probably remain like this. I would gladly pay $20/year if this site were to clean up its forums and make it easier to weed out the mess. JMHO Thanks. The Prof.

We tried that one year (many years ago) and it just didn't work out. Since then we do the following and it seems to work out pretty well: (10 team re-draft) Weeks 1-13: Regular season Week 14: Top two seeds get a bye. This guarantees that the top two seeds will get paid SOMETHING as we pay the top four (60/25/10/5). #3 plays #6 and #4 plays #5. Week 15: #1 plays worst remaining seed from previous week's winners. #2 plays the other. Week 16: Championship and consolation bowl. HTH. The Prof.

My roster is in my sig..... I'm leaning towards starting: QB - McNabb RB - Portis RB - Gore WR - Holt WR - Coles TE - Smith K - Vinatieri DT - Seattle Here are my thoughts: QB - no brainer. RB - Barber is off. My only other option is Taylor. I'm concerned over the number carries being stolen by Jones-Drew. Portis' matchup is just awful and Gore may have GL touches stolen. Not a good week for Tiki to be sitting at home. WR - Holt is a no brainer. I'm not really considering Keyshawn as his past inconsistencies worry me. That leaves Wayne vs. Coles. Coles may be a little dinged but he sure has been catching a lot of balls lately. I believe Wayne will play but worried about where his head will be. TE - no brainer K - my #2 kicker Reed is off. Gonna have to wait until Sunday morning to ensure he plays. If not, a quick Kicker pickup will be needed. DT - both of my DTs have good matchups. I like Seattle over an overrated CHI offense. I hope I'm wrong here, but here's my take ... Omar Haugabook was VERY distraught after last week's game in which he threw 2 INTs late in the 4th quarter. I believe that he will press a bit and more mistakes will be made. Not only that, GT just finished crushing Samford, who plays an offense somewhat similar to Troy's. I'm thinking 31-10 final score with two of GT's TDs coming defensively. Again, I hope I'm wrong. One thing I wonder about though is Chan Gailey. He used to be Troy's head coach back in the mid-80s. What effect will that have on the game?

Thanks. I used to play in 3-4 leagues at a time, but it messed with my enjoyment of the games. Now I just play in one (semi) friendly league with the guys at work.

I don't hear anybody talking about the GT (-17) / Troy game. I'm a huge Troy fan (and alumnus). I am psyched about Troy playing GT this weekend (especially after their showing vs. FSU), but I believe GT will cover. Any thoughts?
